Nice ride my friend I'm still learning at 60 that's what it's all about....you have a great start it looks awesome! I've been working on mine for 20 years and Still not finished lol
Saved and subbed. Appreciate the insight on the engine setup cam etc. Doing a similar deal in my 85 El Camino. Went with the twin VSRacing 7875's is the only difference I seen. It'll be a basic weekend toy. 🤙
Good luck, this is just a weekend cruiser/track car. I'm doing a pair of 64 Galaxies now. One will be stockish, other will have a turbo LS. Probably make some videos on them
I see you have an iat in the intake and another in the charge pipe, I've got a very similar set up with sensor in the intake and it seems to register way too high just cruising. I'm planning on moving it to the charge pipe similar to yours. Did you experience the same
To be honest, I get about the same temp no matter which one I use. I've gone back to back passes with no changes and only see about a 5 degree difference
Mine is closer to the back of rect port truck intake, I suspect there's less flow in that area. On a very cool evening, 45F ambient I was 85F iat at 35mph cruise. Your combo of well scienced parts and low budget is very inspiring. Well done!
I'm running the holley terminator x boost control and I use compressed air from a retired scba firefighter airpack (I'm a ff so I have easy access to refilling them). It has a step down regulator and I have it set at 90 psi
Very street friendly. Especially with the 3.25 gears. I got the tune driving like the stock avalanche the engine came out of lol. Pump e85 makes it nice too
Glad I found this channel. I have an 85 limited. Have a lq4/80e turbo set up going in it.

Got to get some motivation to get it done!
awesome craftsmanship for garage diy, makes me miss my 85 regal
Wow!... Looks Like you are Really Coming Along Nicely. Thanks for Sharing
Thanks and you're welcome
As someone who just bought a 87 regal for a drag build I really appreciate finding these videos man keep it up
Nice ride!
Love the car and the build. Nice work!
Those trunnion upgrades are a good part to have. I put those BTR springs on an LS3 I had and the rockers started making noise shortly after.
It's on my to do list, especially when I get the new engine together

Nice set up man, thanks for sharing…
Thanks!
Have you had any problems with belt throwing off when deleting your power steering pump..I know you spin it up but just curious man..
Good job.. simple, clean build that hauls ass
Love the car. Got a similar build s10 on my channel. I just went 9s looking to go 8s now.
Like that color
Nice car I like it 👍🏾👍🏾
What motor mounts did you use ?
👍👍👍👍
Did you try 411 gears?
I actually got 4.10's in it right now because all the races the last couple months been 1/8th. I leave in second gear. Working pretty good.
Did you use the truck oil pan?
I used the tsp pan. Similar to the holley pan, just cheaper.
What size is that serpentine belt

I'm interested in your boost control, are you using co2?
I'm running the holley terminator x boost control and I use compressed air from a retired scba firefighter airpack (I'm a ff so I have easy access to refilling them). It has a step down regulator and I have it set at 90 psi
How are it's manners on the street? Meaning - is this combo streetable?
Very street friendly. Especially with the 3.25 gears. I got the tune driving like the stock avalanche the engine came out of lol. Pump e85 makes it nice too
@@fastvsix I don't have E85 available here - I'm kinda out in the sticks. I suppose premium pump gas would be ok.
24 psi, stock bottom end with untouched ring gap?
That is correct.
I’ll buy it.
Not really for sale, but everything has a price tag lol
What Trans and Converter also Rear Gear Ratio?...
I got a video I'm uploading of it. It's a th400 with a jegs xhd converter and a 9" with 3.25 gears
What is the ar on the exhaust housings?
96
The fact you said low budget is hilarious.
Looks pretty budget to me
@@Mr73cheyenne probably took every bit of 5k to build. Nothing budget about that
What did it ran bro?
its in the video description.
I have video of the in car 8.8@150 pass on my channel. There is a link at the end of the video to it. Check it out.
