    A quick tip: in mirror modifier check the "clipping" box, it will help you merge a lot easier :)

    I just started really learning Blender a week ago and I have to say, I learned so many new hotkeys in this video. I'm currently half way through the video and I've already taken notes on 6 new hotkeys I didn't know about. Some of them are "F" for creating faces and "Ctrl+X" for quickly dissolving edges/vertices. Thank you!

      @@greggory7655 No because it uses a subdivision workflow for a game vehicle you need to use more of a poly modelling workflow. i have done that before and it was great i sold my game models and stuff.

    Thanks for this tutorial, you should've mentioned that you used the x-ray slider on the viewport shading settings because I spent like 20 minutes trying to figure out how you made your plane transparent, amazing work and thank you

      Yeah that is perhaps the most asked question in the comments haha. But I agree, I should have mentioned it. You can also use ALT + Z as a hotkey.

      I did it with many tutorials but learn't very very less cause you learn modelling with experience. On the other hand whenever I tried making something I learn't a lot. I'll prefer you to model with his tutorial.

    A quick tip: While using the solidify modifier for some thickness on the boolean plane if your car body is gone somewhere then use the Fast button on the Boolean Modifier Solver option instead of exact...

    Your method is very simple, just start straight off with the sub division and a plane. I can't believe Im making a highpoly car so easily.

    The quality of this tutorial is like one of those Masterclass ones, except it's free! It really helped me to learn a lot of the other aspects of Blender, even though I'm on 2.93 now, as well as how to model a car with detail. Can confirm this is a good tutorial in 2021!

    For any beginner just coming into this, the "Merge" option has changed to "Clipping" in Blender 3.0

    Quick tip:
    In 8:00 if your plane splitting in two different planes while using mirror modifiers, you can select(in Mirror modifier): Axis-X(as default), Bisect-X(and it will connect to each other)

    This is a very well made tutorial, not gonna lie, and I'm watching it as I'm recreating a suzuki Swift, constantly going back in the video to check how you arranged the vortex and stuff, and tbh I regret not making the whole model again, after seeing your video, now I'm 10 hrs in and got some really bad parts that I have to work on. Your content is top notch, I hope I'll be able to make more models in the future, using your tutorials!

    One trick that I use while mirroring geo is to turn on clipping in the mirror modifier as well as the Auto Merge Vertices function on, it just eliminates almost all problems related to geo in the mirror section. Btw best car modeling tutorial I've ever seen, straight to the point, no bs and great advice + useful hotkeys all the way.

    ive watched the donut series on how to make a donut in blender for beginners, but i wasnt interested. I wanted to do something I was more interested in like modeling cars.       @@aligamiles blender is pretty easy on pc performance. I created my graduation project on a 12" windows tablet with no cooling (stingl.design/projects/0nonAK?album_id=94217) . No, this tablet is not my primary device, it was more of an experiment, which I could afford since it was not a project for a client. Yes, having a more powerful pc will obviously help you a lot, but no, you are not limited by a pc, if your PC does meet the minimal specs requirements.

      @@blueinversion keep doing what you do bro. I really enjoy understanding the fundamentals while youre teaching how to model. Some tutorials just teach you how to make things but not to make you understand why this is the right way or if there is another way to do things.

    This was an amazing tutorial! its really easy to follow but you dont go too in depth on every single detail (i've seen a 13 part tutorial explain less than you did in this single video)

    The tutorial is very good and well explained, I'm using blender for 10 years, I'm very familiar with every concept and hotkeys, and yet I'm still unable to make the hood of my car. My frustration level is so hight right now I have to stop after only 15 minutes. I shouldn't try to make things, it demotivates me so much

    Incredible tutorial and I'm only 13 minutes in... the tip at 13:37 (apt timing) would have literally saved so many Blender projects but I had no idea about normal maps etc.

      Open viewport shading menu and select object. Then go to object properties, scroll down to viewport properties, click on color and play with A (Alpha).

    41:32 I had a problem here were my separated mesh would disappear in the object mode but visible in both outliner and edit mode if any of you having the same problem select the duplicated mesh in the outliner and delete its Boolean modifier.

      after 3 days if blender I found this tutorial very easy to follow, if you are a complete beginner or your learning curve is slower you should rather focus on easier tutorials then step up slowly as you pick the software up

    Thank you for all your efforts, energy and knowledge to share with us! I was trying modelling in Fushion 360 a Peugeot 104 ZS old car. Unfortunately couldn't make it even if have simply shapes. I was busy with a half year or so. At the end always was complaining the fushion and giving me merge errors and so on. In Blender went like a magic even if I hadn't any experience in it. 🎉
