that was great. wish more would run their amps like that. that KL 203P will run cooler that way and last much longer. I seen red and blue ones. I have the blue one with blue switches. had it for years . run it 50% and talk all day all over . can run digital modes like SSTV /JS8 call and FT8 on that. with filter inline . portable with IC 705 end fed halfwave 1:5 SWR ran hours . 50 watt level on battery in a park. running to max does not get you out better. in fact dropping drive gets you out better . no one will see the difference on their S meter. 73's

Scotty, I have the same amp I don’t know why but it puts out 160 W on a.m. and that’s driving it with one w , if I run it with 10 W I get 175 I’m not gonna kill my amp for 15 W I just put one watt in from my radio and I get 160 out
