I'm 66 and been into jazz, rock, funk, and pop my whole life. I realize this is all subjective, but....These guys are so technical, yet most people don't catch it all. Most are interested in the melody, but as David points out, there's a whole lot of stuff going on behind the melody. They are phenominal players. Aron is the best match grip drummer I have heard. Henrik is a beast on bass, and Jonah has a great Michael Jackson-ish voice and can play keyboards as good as anyone. They just keep getting better in their writing too. Great Band!
I’m also 66 now, two years after you wrote this comment. I have played in some bands, my main instrument is bass guitar. I would say Dirty Loops do music for musicians. To really get the details and complexity and hear all details you must be a musician too. They are the best existing now, as far as I know. They are educated at the Kungliga Musikhögskolan (Royal Music Academy?) in Stockholm. And they trained about 6 hours a day. Jonah was into classical piano and then some jazz, Henrik and Aron was studying more soul music, Jonah did only sing back vocals, then Aron asked them, guys, should we start to play together? Jonah, you can sing, right? I was lucky to finally see them live here in Stockholm in September, and they play with perfection effortlessly, relaxed, intense and happy. They tour all over the world.
I'm pretty shocked that you don't have more followers. You have some of the best reactions on TH-cam, and you do actual analysis and explanation... which very few others do.
This is a band. They interact and play of each other in a very creative way. Theyr fusion of of styles , genres and fun impacts my health in a positive way. WHO should clasify them as a possible positive pandemic.
Every other "reactor" focuses on Henrik (for good reason), however, you are the only one who called out the extraordinary voice and keyboard prowess of Jonah, who as a keyboard player myself, blows a hole in my brain consistently. So, from one David to another, thank you for giving Jonah the props he so rightly deserves.
Yeah!!!! No matter how many times I listen to each of their songs, I always grin from ear to ear every time, as if I never heard it, even if I’m playing it on repeat, lol! Your joy & their joy is the joy I need right now. Sincerely, thank you! More please!
I love his interpretation of what the group is playing I salute him because he really appreciates their music KUDOS to him I understand how he feel’s because I feel the same way about Dirty Loops 🤯
Yay!!! Greetings from Deutschland... Watching you spazz out to the vids is almost as exciting as the vids themselves....lol... I am having so much fun seeing someone feel like I feel about them and I can figure that you’re not easily moved. Downside is... I think they need to remain simple guys from the country to keep this exquisite feel... the world might spoil it.... Cheers and Dirty Loops 4LIFE!!!
OH YOU ARE SO RIGHT Penny - when it comes to the LOOPS, watching people "spazz out to the vids" is not only an AFFIRMATION that we are not alone in our feelings for these Loopers - but a whole hearted celebration of music overall.
Saw these guys live in NYC years ago for a showcase and had the privilege of meeting them. INCREDIBLE show and even more amazing and friendly guys. Super cool dudes.
David, that's correct. These guys are nuts. Top music school in Sweden. Where is everyone else in the world pulling things like this from top music schools??? Where are your students??? No pressure!
I´m back here again, just to view your reaction!! Love your expertise and knowledge. So I would want to make a wish; More of you - more of Dirty Loops! 🙂
"Breakdown" is the best of their more recent stuff. Then again, you have their older stuff aswell. Like "Crash and Burn Delight" and "Lost in You"... and many more. 😊
I must point out also. The face expressions when singing is key to even being able to sing. So him smiling and using his lips The way he does is not only him having feels.
They are all incredibly monstrous and I agree that even though it is amazingly intricate music they are playing from a place of restraint and always with melody in mind.
It's really fun watching you react to these phenomenal guys! Also, I really like your music teacher take on their performance, I bet you can instill some of the fun and joy of making music in your students too! (And as a Swede, this makes me proud, too!)
Great reaction, the best out there!! You have got to recact to their song ”Next to You”. Its long and amaaazing and you will be in heaven! 😁👍👏💪🤟 Time for a new reaction...🙏
I cannot tell you how psyched I was when I saw your Loops reaction was up. Your reactions are high quality, informative and genuinely enthusiastic. This was totally worth the wait for me. All the DL fans out there are gonna be comin' at yah with their requests so I'll give you mine here "Next to You". This was the first song I'd ever heard from the Loops and I like you was just blown away by my introduction to the lads. It has everything they do in spades. If there is anything different I think the combination of the production and the stunning lead and back-up vocals give "Next to You" an epic quality all its own. Whatever you do I'll be watching...and somehow, sometime I know "Next to You" is going to make it to your channel. Thanks.
Love Dirty Loops as much as you. And your comments are the best on TH-cam. Superengaged and professional. Keep gooing and please listen to Next to you. Their best yet.
I’m a Dirty Loops fan and have followed them from start. I find your reaction videos one of the best!!👍🏻 It’s actually crazy that three so talented guys, from the same small country, find each other and brings such musical joy.
It's like they're doing to pop music what Post Modern Juke Box do but in a funky, jazz fusiony, next level way. Their absolute talent at every position and musical theory mastery has just left me in awe!! Can't wait for more, thanks!
These are the reaction videos I was looking for since ages. All previous ones were just wow, omg, etc. and no usefull information added. I can finally learn something more about my favourite music!
Great Reaction, David. Quincy Jones's influence mixed with Jonah's Golden Pipes and rhythmic delivery definitely bring the Michael Jackson vibe to the party. It's even more evident in 'Next to You' from the same EP, and in 8 minutes you'll see even more of the game they bring. Henrik busts out the older five string bass he likes to slap...and nobody slaps like Henrik. Jeezus...they got on the TH-cam covering Justin Fucking Bieber!
Also you're definitely my favorite react channel now lol, love the presentation and how much you're able to talk about within the video. Most videos about these guys are like "oh my goooood they're so good," but you provide so much more!
LOve the energy in your reaction..!! So I'm a new subscriber, good. Others have mentiond: Next to You will explode your head as I'm sure you already know. It swings like crazy right from the first notes. This is my first also hearing this song. Yea, I feel the same way listening to them, it's so freeakin exciting. And I love that you pointed something very interesting and cool on this song, and that is the interesting way they playing so much up oin the tempo that if one of them was doing it, you think they were rushing, but they're ALL DOING so it sounds incredible. Not sure I've ever heard a band play with a feel like that...hmmmm
Thanks for another great Dirty Loops reaction! Loved it. I know you're probably getting tons of requests for ones to do next. I'd like to recommend Hit Me. It's one of their earlier ones and is, as usual, epic musically , but it has a great vocal scat at the end that has become world famous and has been dropping jaws ever since it hit the web. Thanks again!
I'm here just to thank you for all your reactions and music covers. You are certainly the golden find, and more to say you are to inspire me to get a synth and start learning how to play it. As a huge fan of music of any kind, I see you exactly how I see my own attitude towards it. Amazing channel, amazing informative and entertaining vids, amazing you. Prosperity and further development to your channel. From Russia with love. Peace!
Hands down best music reaction videos on the tube! Great emotion, stank face, dance moves, analysis, production etc. two big 👍🏻👍🏻 and love that you’re covering Dirty Loops. Check out Hit Me, their first own big song or the other three from the new EP, Next to you, Rock you, Breakdown
Do "Next To You" or "Rock You" by them. So insanely good that, even as a pro, working musician, it makes your jaw drop and feel guilty for not practicing anywhere near enough!
Great reaction! I would continue with the rest of the songs from their new E.P. Phoenix. I think you've now done 2 of 5. "Next to You", "Breakdown" and "Rock You" are left. You will be equally blown away by all of them!
"it all belongs there!" Haaaaa you are soooooo right . That's a really simple line MusicShed, but it's SO TRUE. In all D-Loops songs there is so much going on - but it "all belongs there" . .Nice! It's really hard to react to Loops beyond "F**K Me!! . They are all just extraordinary. I really Love to see people who love music LOVE this music. Haaa thanks enjoyed your reactions.
Love to see Breakdown reaction !!!! The new music. A new masterpiece. A music " with space to breath". It's so perfect you imagine/develop melodies over it.
I so love your reactions of Dirty Loops! Please, please do NOT listen to "Next to you" until you do a reaction of it - I predict you will not be able to remain seated on that chair of yours - it would be such a joy to see your reaction Next to you. There are others DL's songs of course. Everyting on Phoenix is wonderful. If it is true that you have only listened a couple of DL songs so far I envy you. What a lovely musical journey you have in front of you, starting with those TH-cam covers 10 years ago - until today. As a dessert you can also listen to recent (what I call "Dirty Loops light") with only Aron and Henrik goofing in their "Songs for lovers" videos. So much fun, so much playfulness, what musicality.
The many mics was a joke. They had quite a few amps in the room for the earlier videos and large concert style ones at that. People in comments were buzzing on that so this time they put one little EBS amp with many mics. You can also see a mic pointing to the DI box.... So obviously most aren't used (or none)... BTW, I believe Henrik is endorsed by EBS if I remember right. Lots of pros play EBS. Top quality stuff.
Dirty Friggin Loops... They are on another level... Love all their songs even the covers they have made... Comment on Rock You and Hit Me... you'll go nutzzzzz... Peace
You articulate so perfectly what makes this trio possibly the most exciting, joyous, fun, and impressive group in music today. Love your reactions/insights and general production values. Once you start getting in to their covers you will not only get a sense of their origins and a single musical organism, but you’ll just have beat after beat of astonishment. In terms of what to react to next, I’d actually recommend their commissioned piece for Samsung where they took a cellphone ringtone melody that had been in Galaxy phones and spun it out in to such an incredible blossoming masterpiece. ‘Over the Horizon’
You gotta check out Breakdown that one will blow your mind and take you to another dimension!! Jonah really shows off his vocal abilities in that one!!
I think I have heard of this group but I had never heard them. They are very good. I found you by your Dimash reactions. You have gotten a lot of suggestions, and you can't go wrong with any Dimash. But for singing techniques the two essential Dimash songs to react to are "Unforgettable Day" Gakku version or it's not the truly unforgettable song, and the other is "Passione" for the unbelievable run you have to hear to believe. There are some other amazing artists that you have been missing out on first Angelina Jordan, start with "Summertime" then "I Put A Spell On You" where you go after that doesn't matter. Next Amira Willighagen, for her start at the beginning with her "O Mio Babbino Caro" for English speakers version so you can see what the judges say before and after she sings on Holland's Got Talent, what they say is important for you to understand how incredible she really is. And finally Diana Ankudinova, start with "Wicked Game"and then "Rechenka". Please keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times hold on and enjoy the ride. Because each of these artists will blow your mind. I had to mention Dimash in a non-Dimash reaction to avoid this getting buried.
The first time that I saw you making a reaction video, I thought that you have some kinda cocky attitude but, I could understand that as a musician you have to make the people understand that you studied, you worked and still work hard today to be a better musician, and with some comments that you pointed out about this Amazing Band, I could understand that you work hard to be a better person too. Thank You, with this reaction you won a new subscriber, I´m a musician too, and at least that´s what I try every day, be a better person to be able to be a better musician (cause-effect relationship) Greetings from Argentina
There have been comments talking about how many amps and speakers Henrik is often backed up by. I'm thinking-in typical Dirty Loops fashion-that this was Loops way of goofing on those comments. Sort of "Oh he's got so many amps. How about we take one tiny amp and mike the hell out of it". Just seems to me something these guys would do.
I think those many mics on the bass amp is just a (running) gag. In the other video the room was packed with bass amps. You thought the earth would start shaking as soon as Henrik moves a finger. Now it's that tiny bass amp that "wants to be heard".
i just got into this band too but im not musically inclined, unlike some bands or musicians on their caliber their music can be enjoyed by ppl like me who like simple catchy melodies lol and i appreciate that hahah
Hi! Love your videos! Little obscure but there's a band called Vildjarta and their song called "Shadow" and I think the composition is something you'll really appreciate!
The interesting (to me, as a keyboard player) is that Jonah (that's the singer) doesn't even consider himself primarily a singer. When asked whether he'd choose playing keyboards or singing, if he had to choose, he said "keyboards". He's trained as a classic keyboard player. And that chour - it's all Jonah, with many overlays.
There's something to this band that reminds me of the Winery Dogs. I think it's exactly that freedom they get through the level of musicianship they have... musically the two bands don't have much in common
awesome videos, love to ear your little plays at the beggining and play along with the band. I can recomend the song "lingus" from Snarky puppy. You really will like the piano solo in that one.
I'd really be intrigued to hear your thoughts on Sokoninaru. They're a Japanese band that has elements of these guys, Protest the Hero, and Polyphia in their music. I'd recommend starting with "Tenohira De Odoru" or "Re:program".
I would love to see your reaction to Jazmine Sullivan’s Live Tiny Desk concert and/or Chloe x Halle’s live tiny desk concert! They’re all such incredible vocalists and the bands are awesome!
great reaction! also!! I am BEGGING you to react to Wagakki band Homura. I promise you'll be fascinated and completely blown away (it's a live performance and it is INCREDIBLE!!!)
"Next to you" will blow your head apart. This band is epic
Yeah, Next to you is an epic in itself!
Yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep yep
Agree! Please react this one!

I agree.all the way. The next from them should be "Breakdown" It's something different and wonderful.
But also next to you.
He has to do Breakdown... amazing
I'm pretty shocked that you don't have more followers.
You have some of the best reactions on TH-cam, and you do actual analysis and explanation... which very few others do.
"Breakdown" or "Rock you" next please!
This is a band. They interact and play of each other in a very creative way. Theyr fusion of of styles , genres and fun impacts my health in a positive way. WHO should clasify them as a possible positive pandemic.
"Tecnique Will Set You Free" -- the best message

"I gotta calm the f*** down" - David Morgan, 2021
La première fois que j’ai entendu ce groupe,je n’en ai pas dormi de la nuit!trop trop d’émotions
You are now my favorite reactor. You caught Henrik's joke with thr 5 mics on a 25w practice amp. It cracks me up every damn time. Haha
I don't know if that IS a joke. Henrik might be miking all six STRINGS. 😨😨😨😨😨😨
The mic on the DI box is real impotent to 😜
Yeah!!!! No matter how many times I listen to each of their songs, I always grin from ear to ear every time, as if I never heard it, even if I’m playing it on repeat, lol! Your joy & their joy is the joy I need right now. Sincerely, thank you! More please!

The best dirty loops reaction so far! I love your react, the way you backward the videos after u explain something👍more dirtyloops react please haha
David, that's correct. These guys are nuts. Top music school in Sweden. Where is everyone else in the world pulling things like this from top music schools??? Where are your students??? No pressure!
Dirty Loops - Hit Me
I´m back here again, just to view your reaction!! Love your expertise and knowledge. So I would want to make a wish;
More of you - more of Dirty Loops! 🙂
‘Rock You’ next would be killa!! 👌You look and sound like a kid in a candy store 😂❤️🔥
"Breakdown" is the best of their more recent stuff. Then again, you have their older stuff aswell. Like "Crash and Burn Delight" and "Lost in You"... and many more. 😊

Mama mia! 😮 That Bass solo hit me in the feels! Overall outstanding! Great reaction too!
”I got to calm the fuck down” Haha! That comment says it all. Love it.
I always need to CTFD
you have to react to all of it dont skip!!! We want to see your reviews!!!!
I approve of humble chops being properly appreciated on this channel.
There is no limit to these guys. Great reaction, I was right there with you!
That bass with the even temperment frets...it's so....true. It's awesome.
LOVE THE LOOPS! Their pocket is so crisp all over the place. WIPE THE FLOOR WITH THAT POCKET.
Yeah!! Great reaction man! Looking forward to see your reaction to the next Dirty Loops song! ”Rock you” or ”Hit me”
Wait until you see Jonah’s solo offering; “Coffee Break.” David on fire, indeed.
Your analysis is the 'Bomb!'
Great reaction, the best out there!! You have got to recact to their song ”Next to You”. Its long and amaaazing and you will be in heaven! 😁👍👏💪🤟 Time for a new reaction...🙏
Next to you = Eargasm
I cannot tell you how psyched I was when I saw your Loops reaction was up. Your reactions are high quality, informative and genuinely enthusiastic. This was totally worth the wait for me. All the DL fans out there are gonna be comin' at yah with their requests so I'll give you mine here "Next to You". I’m a Dirty Loops fan and have followed them from start. I find your reaction videos one of the best!!👍🏻
It’s actually crazy that three so talented guys, from the same small country, find each other and brings such musical joy.
the little pop-up bubbles gave me flashbacks to the old pop-up video show on vh1...nice touch. also...these guys are the definition of a perfect band.
It's like they're doing to pop music what Post Modern Juke Box do but in a funky, jazz fusiony, next level way. Their absolute talent at every position and musical theory mastery has just left me in awe!! Can't wait for more, thanks!
Love your reaction 🤩 And there’s still SO many great Dirty Loops songs to react to. Cant wait for the next one 👍
These are the reaction videos I was looking for since ages.
All previous ones were just wow, omg, etc. and no usefull information added.
I can finally learn something more about my favourite music!
Yeah!
Great great job David! Keep going... please
Thank you again David. Never would have discovered my soul-band if I didn't follow you!
I love the channel man. Keep it up! Great analysis, especially for lay people like myself.

This should be a nr.1 hit ! Its a masterpiece!!!
Thanks for another great Dirty Loops reaction! Loved it. I know you're probably getting tons of requests for ones to do next. I'd like to recommend Hit Me. As a musician it's great watching you react to this. Please, do every single one of their songs.
Do "Next To You" or "Rock You" by them. So insanely good that, even as a pro, working musician, it makes your jaw drop and feel guilty for not practicing anywhere near enough!
Only reason you feel proud as a Swedish is Dirty Loops. Amazing band! Great analytical reaction! Thanks!
Another great reaction, I’m listening to you in 2024, catching up with old content.
Great reaction! I would continue with the rest of the songs from their new E.P. Phoenix. I think you've now done 2 of 5. "Next to You", "Breakdown" and "Rock You" are left. You will be equally blown away by all of them!

I need more dirty loops reactionssssssssssss. Noooowwwwwww 🤭
MORE DIRTY LOOPS!!!
Please react to “Breakdown” next !!
Nice reaction!
‘Hit Me’ is the one that will knock you off the chair.

I love your reactions by the way
Wow ur right that intro chord pattern is Dirty Diana!
Yep Dirty Loops is D band of virtosos exyraordinaires
Dirty Friggin Loops... They are on another level... Love all their songs even the covers they have made... Comment on Rock You and Hit Me... you'll go nutzzzzz... Peace

I agree 100% with you David.
Their new ”Follow the light” will make your week instead of just one day!
I think I have heard of this group but I had never heard them. They are very good. I found you by your Dimash reactions. You have gotten a lot of suggestions, and you can't go wrong with any Dimash. Great video! Please do Breakdown next.
There are a lot of ppl with that range but not that style. but the musicianship and the ensemble of dirty loop is amazing...
9:10 I wish complimenting the rhythm section would always summon a bass solo.
The more mics to spotlight Henrik's bass the better ;)
There have been comments talking about how many amps and speakers Henrik is often backed up by. I'm thinking-in typical Dirty Loops fashion-that this was Loops way of goofing on those comments. Sort of "Oh he's got so many amps. How about we take one tiny amp and mike the hell out of it". Just seems to me something these guys would do.
@@robote7679 That's actually exactly what it is, Henrik responding to comments :-)
Henrik’s DI-box is also mic’d bc lulz
Holy crazy-ness.....he plays drums too....check out "Coffee Break"
Dirty loops - Next to you please.
”Follow the light” !!!!!!!!!
Love your channel! Sal3m - Love is a Wonderful Lie
great video, i love your edit also
There's something to this band that reminds me of the Winery Dogs. I think it's exactly that freedom they get through the level of musicianship they have... musically the two bands don't have much in common
Definitely check out Breakdown. Just insane in a totally different way.
awesome videos, love to ear your little plays at the beggining and play along with the band. I can recomend the song "lingus" from Snarky puppy. You really will like the piano solo in that one.
I know that one and love it
I'd really be intrigued to hear your thoughts on Sokoninaru. They're a Japanese band that has elements of these guys, Protest the Hero, and Polyphia in their music. I'd recommend starting with "Tenohira De Odoru" or "Re:program".
Please please do ‘rock you’ by dirty loops - you won’t regret it. It’s really something else!
I would love to see your reaction to Jazmine Sullivan’s Live Tiny Desk concert and/or Chloe x Halle’s live tiny desk concert! They’re all such incredible vocalists and the bands are awesome!
Stevie Wonder needs to hear about these cats man, oh my LORD
great reaction! also!! I am BEGGING you to react to Wagakki band Homura. I promise you'll be fascinated and completely blown away (it's a live performance and it is INCREDIBLE!!!)
I'd also love to hear your take on Snarky Puppy. Shofukan or Lingus
