    I jump rope almost every day for 20 - 30 mins and I use to have to buy a new jump rope about every 2 -4 months, simply because they were cheap. I thought the CR was too much til I decided to buy a set. Well, after 2 and half years, I can honestly say it is money well spent. Especially if its for the betterment of your health. I started off wit the 1st gen starter kit, it came with a 1/4 and a 1LB rope, then a year later I got the GL set. I've beaten those ropes to death and until now there's still going strong. I added the 1 1/2LB and 2 LB not too long ago. If you REALLY want to get in shape, heavier ropes are the way to go.

      They really do last a lot longer. 👍

      @@iamLODD if it's your first set go with the get fit set. The rope weights will be more useful to you as you build up the power to move the heaviest ones. If you have a current rope, measure it's length excluding the handles and match the best size. A lot of people your height that jump rope already go for medium. Where are you located?

      Jump 15 - Jump Rope Fitness im located in Vancouver, Canada 😎 thank you for all of your advice and the measuring tip, I will definitely do that.

      @@iamLODD , well any CrossRope is durable, I had the 1st gen starter kit and the GL set for about 3 years now and they still have NOT broke on me, and believe me I've beaten those ropes to death. If you're just starting out, I would suggest you start light with the Get Lean set. Even the 1/2 LB rope could be a challenge for some. But if you REALLY want to get in shape, heavier ropes are the way to go. I would say start with the GL set and once you get good with those, move up to heavier sets to really get in shape. And since you're 6 ' all , go with the Large (L) size. Good luck and happy jumping!!!

    Good presentation, man.
    For the steel cable ropes, you can get replacement cable at Home Depot or other hardware stores for about 50 cents per foot. I believe the 5/32" rope with coating is what I buy, which is compatible with a large variety of handles. You can use other sizes if you want but the 5/32" is my preference (or it might be 3/32", I don't have one in front of me, but it's thicker than the speed rope cables). I have a rope w/ 1/4" cable but it's not my favorite.
    You'll either want to have good cable cutters at home or have an exact measurement when you go to the store. The bad cuts like you see at 9:34 make it difficult to work with and will cut the snot out of you if you grab it or if it rubs against you when spinning.

      So its actually not recommended that u jump on concrete, but instead on a mat. Only because the concrete will eat through the insulation of the rope. And you won't get the longevity that it's guaranteed. Especially if you're gonna pay the money for these ropes. Hope this helped

      @averagetosavage4076  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Johnson Yu 🙏🏾. Yes i have and they hold up better than any of the other ones i’ve owned but it’s best to jump on a mat to protect the integrity of the rope and your joints!
      The 1/4 rope is my most used and yeah there is a difference ! it’s a nice weight...just at the point where it’s weighted to give you a comfortable challenge and still can be used as a speed rope ! and the handles give you a smooth rotation so it just comes together so nicely.

    Is this perfect for the beginners?

    • @ItsCrimsonwolf
      @ItsCrimsonwolf 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is really good for beginners, however most people would recommend a beginner to get the heavy ropes due to its feedback, the weight of the rope will let you know where the rope is and when to jump unlike the 1/4 pound that goes fast and your not to sure when to jump due to its small amount of feedback because of how light it is. Also if you are a beginner make sure to not invest in a crossrope unless you are sure that you are going to take jump roping very seriously. You wouldn’t want to spend 100$+ on something that you’re going to use once and forget about, that’s my advice for you good ser :)

    • @averagetosavage4076
      @averagetosavage4076  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s very good for beginners, in my opinion the 1/4 pound rope is the perfect medium between weight and speed.
      Most of my friends who start jumping with me tend to borrow this rope in exchange for theirs lol.
      It helps them better understand how to time the jump and find rhythm w/o having overly tired shoulders because of a heavy set rope.

      @averagetosavage4076  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1
