- Check out our special REDstreams episode, where we'll dive deep into The Witcher 3 REDkit- a modding tool that allows you to customize and expand The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with the same powerful tools used by developers who originally created the game.
Together with our guests, Bence Hambalko and Moritz Baron from Yigsoft, we will discuss the mod creation process with REDkit, its possibilities, and more! Hosted as always by our Senior Community Managers, Amelia Kołat and Alicja Kozera. - เกม
modders will go crazy with this one
I was expecting devs to drop the tools and leave making the tutorials for the community. It's astounding that they provided detailed instructions for it, I'd love other companies would do the same for their titles
Player --> Modder --> Developer
PLEASE give us the unreleased Iorveth character model that was cut from Witcher 3 so that we can finally include him in the game!
This is a big achievement that will make Witcher 3 a great learning tool for people who love to dig deeper into game development. I started my career back in the days, 1998, with Unreal Editor which shipped with the original Unreal. It was like a magic wand and gave players the ability to mod a game. It's a pleasure to see that the same magic is still happening in 2024. Thank you, CDPR.
Don't have time to watch this right now, but I'm so happy to see RedKit out now! Love to the whole team.
now we just need a CP77 Redkit too. :D
they said they dont want to do it :(
we have similar thing REDMOD!
@@diegowendell4797 redmod is not nearly as powerfull
CDPR proving once again why they are the GOAT game developer. One unfortunate product launch won't define your entire legacy, not that that needs to be said. Especially when it's obvious the amount of time and effort you guys are willing to put in to make a game not only meet expectations, but surpass them every time. It's almost 10 years later and TW3 is getting full mod support and a next gen update. I loved Baldur's Gate 3 and Larian, but for me the Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG I have ever played and CDPR is the greatest developer. This update is just more reinforcement for that feeling. We all appreciate your tremendous efforts. Cheers
Let's not forget what they did to their customers on Cyberpunk release. They CANNOT be trusted.
@@StrawberryKitten Are you not of the belief set that a studio can learn from their mistakes? If not, that's fine, but me personally, I don't see a world where CDPR is willing to pull something like that again and ever be able to earn the trust back of its consumers. For this reason I don't dare think that CDPR would even think of releasing a game in anywhere close to the state that that game was released in. And this is coming from someone who's only preorder EVER was for Cyberpunk 2077, so I firsthand experienced the frustration. I genuinely can't think of another game that has experienced the level of backlash that CDPR rightfully experienced then.
I think this is a large reason as to why they are no longer using the Red engine, and are instead using Unreal, a proved engine will lead to far fewer bugs, the first time they have ever done this. And another reason why they won't release the next Witcher game for at least another 4 years. It would be stupid to not go into this next release with at least some level of caution, but to discredit their entire history beforehand of quality launches, wouldn't be fair. This being said, CDPR has one more chance, if they screw up again there is no returning. The only reason CDPR gets one more chance is because they've been stayed with Cyberpunk and turned it into the incredible product that it is now. And also because they have never failed us with a Witcher product before this. And they are continuing with free content. This was a long response, but it was just to say that CDPR isn't Ubisoft, and they're not EA, but this being said they also aren't perfect. But I believe even companies deserve second chances, just not a third.
@@andrewfitzgerald4530 Fair enough, but at least do not pre order again ever again, to any game, to any company. One chance more, that is it. They hurt the trust we put on them for Cyberpunk 2077, they took advantage of that. Because they tried to finish Cyberpunk 2077, we will give one chance more. Do not betray us again, ever.
@@The_Stranger-VII I think that is fair.
@@StrawberryKittenThey did one mistake. "Ohh they can't be trusted"
*REDkit releases*
LoversLab goes brrrrr.
exactly haha
haha why not
only if that's real....
Can't wait for what the community will make! It's really powerful, Thanks developers for these amazing tools!
I hope smn will try recreating quests from the first 2 books with short stories. that would be amazing
You know, it's hard for me to describe my feelings, but for the past couple of years, I've felt a bit of sadness because I didn't jump on the train when Valve released their editor. All the modern level design kings were making their mods and honing their skills at that time. As an aspiring level designer, I wanted to do the same, but Hammer and other editors were terribly outdated. It was easier to work on personal projects in Unity or Unreal. And now, you've given me that feeling that a new train, a new era has arrived, and I can finally hop on. It's hard to explain, but I hope someone understands. Thank you, really!"
Because Witcher Remake and Witcher 4 will take a while, keeping up some of Witcher 3's momentum is quite smart. I hope a similar REDKit for Cyberpunk is also considered. For me a port of Farewell of the White Wolf Mod would be awesome.
Enjoy my choooms, go crazy with this toolset!
Modders, youse can give The Witcher 3 a new life in way not possible before until now
That's really amazing. Thank you so much guys for putting so much work into modding, and where it eventually led to! I never thought we'd have this but it's a dream come true!
Thank you so much for your awesome work. And also big thank you to the people at cdpr who made it possible and gave them the resources to pull it of
Hello, please provide us with the Hotkeys and controls list for the Editor.
yes, and some tips and tricks that designers use during development
So basically we're gonna expect some huge Expansions and many machinima movies. Sound great:)
maybe, maybe not. It depends on the future of red engine.
@@odinonion4619 What do you mean in terms of what CDPR already said and the fact they switched to UE5?
cant imagine the great mods we would have if redkit were out some years ago but i am glad it out now. (i would love play dnd in this scenario)
I will be watching this later as I'm supposed to be working ❤️ love the Witcher 3 it's my favourite game to play. I'm a little confused about the new update for the switch as I don't know how to install it 😞. I'm not tech savvy
This is Awesome! Thanks for this! I love these sorts of shows - especially via CD Projekt RED!!! So Cool!!!
Good job RED's! I really like you! Also huge tkanks for Bence and Moritz.🙂
some one mod combat like ghost of sushima or sekyro is awesome.
I hope we see the Vlad UI and E3 UI rebuilt in the Redkit. Fingers crossed...
Also, who are these guys? What are their Nexus names?
They created the Wolvenkit. You can google it😊
What I like about this is that I won’t have to use the script merger tool for mods anymore, I just download the mod install and done.
Its great they are using Blender as well :) which is pretty awesome
Much love!
Będzie Zabawa , pozdrawiam cały zespół
I hope someone makes a campaing from the books
Does anyone know how to mod custom Gwent cards with red kit?
I like the Kolovrat that hangs at the top right 😈😈😈
Merci From France
So is it possible to write out your own dialogue and then the characters will speak it or is it just a set 📐 amount of words we can just piece together?
Yesssss
I'm only a model and texture modder, and this looks extremely impressive, but it also seems to be far beyond my current capabilities. But it's early days, so who knows.
Great news!
Thanks a lot for sharing, CDPR folks!
Is it possible for us to use REDkit while keeping the "vanilla" version of our game intact? Or does it mean we will need at least two copies of the game, one for vanilla and the other one for the modded version?
So is this tool like a stripped down version of their engine or something completely different?
a simple in game menu, on off switch for mods, even if you have to: save game: game restarts and loads same space
WHEN THEY FIX THE HAIRWORKS ERROR ,THAT CAUSES THE GAME TO CRASH ON DX11?
Shoutout to the morrowind modding community
Awesome but I really hope it isn't a little too late... Really hope I am wrong because I think the Witcher 3 aged pretty well and I can see this having a lot of potential.
Any chance of getting steam workshop for Redmod?
It would be absolutely amazing if you guys and girls release patch 4.05. To make up for lost time for us console players, you guys should add the other 4 swords that are heavily advertised in game and in cinematic artwork. Aswell, the E3 Camera angles, witcher 2 hairstyles that are already mods for The Witcher 3. The widened silver sword scabbard. Finally, please fix the runestones glitches for the witcher's steel and silver swords, the aerondight and the forgotten wolven steel and silver swords. Appreciate it. And really, this is all already in your game files. You guys just gotta do a little digging and implement all of it into the next gen version. It really wouldn't be fair to us console players, which covers a lot of your player base for the Witcher 3 if you guys didn't add all this content. Please add all of it it's all been on my mind for years.
I want a E3 2014 conversion mod
Can we produce new dlc with red kit? If we produce it, can we publish it on Steam for a fee?
some need to create some lotr content with this
do it for cyberpunk 2077!!! You see how hugely popular are mods for cyberpunk, which has long since overtaken the witcher, and is approaching skyrim. I see that you also love cyberpunk, give us a redkit for cyberpunk 2077 please!
Me watching while modding LOL
Now do this for Cyberpunk 2077.
what about gog? it doesnt have steam workshop :((
i guess it will be on nexus?
@@Nagy.Patrik ahh that suxxxxx
Modders can do witcher 4 before cdpr
If CDRed is smart (which they are) they go the Skyrim route and allow mods on console, witcher could easily live on for another decade.
It will, console or not
This. I’d never uninstall it again
modding on consoles?!? Are You OK with your head?
@@crscrs1078I've been porting my own Skyrim mods to Xbox for years ...
And yes my head is perfectly fine, thank you for being concerned.
@@TheTennesseeFistMachine The idea itself of modding on consoles is very ridicules XD It is contradiction of what consoles are (very closed, restricted and limited system) and their purpose (easy to use while lying on couch) Hell, most games on consoles don't even have graphics settings or other more complex settings in game menu - compared to PC XD.
10 years late
overwhelming for sure.
But it can't be hobby.. just look at graphs 31:44 :))
i want a mod where i can end up with both yen and triss.. hahahahahah i want them both man.. both are gorgeous.. specially in the alternative dress
I hope there will be a way to make Geralt naked while still having armor stats...
lol, I've actually already done that with certain armour sets, both of the Vampire armours and Yen's pants for example, and I also made the Nekker boots look like regular feet.
I did it primarily so that I can have different "poses" for...umm, certain 🍆situations when using SBUI without having to restart the game to switch between mods. 😉
@@alittlecreepywhenyou wait, did you do all that with redkit?
@@abbeyBominable123 Nah, I simply got inventive and recreated some "flesh" versions of the chosen Armour models in Blender and saved them with the original Armours mesh (fbx) names. They look funny AF on an Armour stand.
You should see what I've made with Guillaumes bleeding hand and Dettlaffs dead body. 😈 For Guillaume, I used the existing asset (his bleeding hand) to create a "Geralt on Steroids bodytype" and then modded the games "w2ent" files to use the standard generic hand body part. Then I photoshopped the textures and cleaned up his clothes. I also turned Detlaffs dead human body into a very buff naked Brienne (the female fighter in the mask) All this was done during the lockdown when I was really, really bored.
I'd taught myself Blender, with a little help from TH-cam, and after makeing only half a doughnut ;) I started getting deviantly creative.
Dear Lord, you guys desecrate the game
Console ¿
This is really cool and all, but i really hope they are working on new witcher game. I dont want this company become bethesda with 20years milking same game
i hope CDPR will host modding competition ..and the winner will be rewarded free the witcher 4 and opportunity to join the devs
No console version?Meeh...
Fix next gen.
First
Witcher 4 is DOA if you bow to DEI, which you are clearly doing. What a shame.
