- No Fiery Win Axe, but this deck gets an 11 win prediction anyway. Sorry for how late this one is today if you're used to watching early. Tomorrow we'll be back with a Rogue video at the typical time

(Posting this just after watching the game)
If anyone was curious and didn't see it, the lethal against the druid (@~47:00) was send both spiteful and dark iron into the panther, killing it and proccing the spiteful for the +2 arcanite reaper damage. Gnome+Arcanite = 7 damage to the face.
Spiteful's enrage is an easy thing to overlook, and more or less trading two 4 damages into a panther isn't the obvious play
I think this is a perfect example of an arena where trump played very good overall. I would surely have overextended against those flamestrikes for example. I like it when he goes into detail about his decisions.
Game 10 against the Rogue:
My play would be Slam the shield off Argent Commander, play the Weaponsmith, attack the AC with the axe, attack the Ooze with the Spiteful Smith, pass the turn.
It's easy to say that after seeing the Shadowstep play, but I still agree with it. If it does prevent lethal, he is forced to kill the 4/3 SS, and is likely unable to kill the 3/3 without a card that could cause lethal anyway.
I don't think there was a way out of losing that game in the long run, but if there was, this was the play it hinged on.
As always, I love the videos, Trump. Thanks in part to your advice and examples, I went 11 wins twice today. Hunter/Druid. Though technically, the Hunter should have been 12 wins, but on Game 6, which was to be 6-0, I disconnected the turn I had lethal, mid-multi-attack. Rogue went 7 or 8, Paladin went 8.
To whomever got a free win off a DragonKly Hunter in Arena today, you're welcome to thank my internet provider. Lol.
Keep 'em coming Trump.
Moonjuice here, great play on that Frothing combo, that was pretty sick. I've been watching you for awhile and I am in awe that I got to play my Hearthstone hero. I thought I had you for a min (my hand still had some good stuff ready for play) but I bow to the king.
Greedy? Really? He is working, regardless if you love what you do or not. If it's fun or not it is still work. Free will, people donate if they want nobody is obligated to donate and you can watch everything Trump makes/streams free of charge.
You don't have to hate your work to make it valid. I see much envy/jealousy.
iPwnYorFace
Dedicating yourself to video games is still a job in its self.
It doesn't look like a lot of work to me. As long as he doesn't do anything illegal to get the money it's really none of anyone's business, it's just vain envy.
blaser322 It's not backbreaking work, and there are definitely parts of his day that are literally just playing video games, but he has to put lots of time and effort into the editing process. That would likely take him hour, possibly even turning it into almost a full time job worth of time each day. (roughly 2 hours for the arena run and what I am guessing is 4+ hours of editing). I think he does it every day of the week as well. If not at the very least 5 days a week.
I also find it kind funny that this discussion happened on this particular video seeing as the posting time was delayed for what I am assuming is related to how much time these things really take.
Useless Noise he is not the one editing the clips...
Yep, it's not him who edits these videos lol.
The last few fights are always intense lol
2 chances to get shield block + execute (a third chance to get execute from shield block but 2 guaranteed chances from the slam and turn 8 draw). Also instead of drawing shield slam for the 3rd chance, you could also draw execute + earthen ring farseer twice in a row for almost the same effect (both earthen and shield slam costing 3 mana and allowing the life for a finishing board clear with the 4/1 weapon). The earthen would allow for a 3 mana sea giant as well, which frees up 1 extra mana (which is basically useless mana).
No sir I meant that he said the deck went 11wins+. I mean I know it's kind of obvious as the length of the video usually correlates with how well the deck does, but still. It's nice to have a bit of mystery! Do you not agree?
It was a PREDICTION, Trump was referring to what he said at the start right after he drafted the deck.
Got really fucking sick of watching those mages in games 8 and 9. Good to see Trump smash them in the face with a warrior deck.
same >.
At the end of our 2nd loss, you could have used slam to avoid 3 damage instead of using the heroability to avoid 2, but I don't think that would have changed much.
36:57 - Момент делает все видео) Удар бога xDD
А магов, магов то сколько! Из 14 боев = 6 магов! 3 дру, 2 рога, 2 пала и хант)
Шикарно!)
I sooo feel you, Trump. I got two rare murlocs back bo back, but i had just crafted them!
That Wild Pyro + Armour up play is insane at 0:37:15
If the enemy had played 2 mini creatures, then you could use the alternative play with earthen ring for an 8 minion board (resulting in a 2 mana cost sea giant and freeing up 2 extra mana for an armor up).
There was a 1 in 17 chance (excluding the execute) of getting a shield block (which could possibly draw into earthen ring farseer, 0.0036% chance)
that frothing beserker was amazing :3
Yes, there was a lethal at 46:52 but it was hard to spot on the fly...
he attacks face ---> you have a 3/3 weaponsmith and a 4/2 spiteful along with a 4/1 weapon ---> shattered sun the spiteful to make it a 5/3 ---> kill the defias and bandit with 3/3 and 5/3 ---> 5 mana left over
I played a hunter who played starving buzzard, animal companion that gave increased attack, unleash the hounds, and timber wolf. I mean seriously, did they just let him choose whatever card he wanted instead of just random sets of 3 cards? Why don't I get this kind of synergy? Meanwhile, I'm picking mage and not being given flamestrike. Only won a couple, they'd just always overwhelm me with minions on the board, and I'm thinking, "Sure would be nice to have some AoE." But nah, this game is just out to fuck me
54:40 wow trump, never expected you to make that mistake of not killing the kobold. It was obvious that the rogue was likely to 3 dmg backstab. But whatevs, you are still a great player of course :P
This also may have worked against 2 extra played mini creatures on the rogue's 8th turn instead of one big creature.
If he played a big creature and you drew execute (like you did from the azure), then you could possibly get rid of it (although unlikely).
Ironic how the weapon smith gives you a weapon, then the dark iron dwarf is all like "you call that a weapon, ha" lol
that board tilt at 56:30
He plays a big creature + attacks with weapon + goes for face with 2 minions + weapons up after ---> you have 3 health + a 3/3 arathi + 4/2 spiteful + 4/1 weapon ---> draw shield block + play shield block and get execute ---> buff spiteful to 5/3 with shattered sun cleric ---> 6 minions on board (defias + bandit + big enemy creature + spiteful + arathi + shattered sun) = 4 mana sea giant ---> run 5/3 buffed spiteful into defias, run arathi into big creature ---> execute big creature, all 8 mana used ---> use 4/1 weapon on leftover 2/1 bandit ---> ending with 3 hp + 3 armor and a 5/1 spiteful along with sea giant and 3/2 shattered sun cleric
Holy shit you thought this through
XD
what is the tool you use so you see exactly what cards are left in your arena deck?
Would Nightblade be decent if it were a 5/5?
Yes
5/5 battlecry deal 3? for 5? Yes, its kinda decent now but all situational
Even being 4/5 would make it decent (and probably OP in constructed aggro decks).
5/5 battlecry hits a random enemy?
All not including the 1 card draw from the slam the previous turn on the argent commander.
Mundo attacks when he pleases... Yeti, I meant Yeti attacks when he pleases =x
Trump: "So much 4's" ....
Me: "May the 4's be with you"
Trump why u do dis. I have college tomorrow D:
Ha, this college is toast
Gratz for going 12 this time! :)
In that last game around 1:27:00, wouldnt it have been better if he double dark ironed to reduce him to 2 life? SInce then he cant use the truesilver to kill any 4-4 and is probably dead anyways. Or was the threat of lethal too risky? :/
Slam argent ---> kill argent with spiteful ---> arathi weaponsmith the ooze ---> end up at 3 life if he attacks face.
would you guys have two azure drake instead of gnomish inventor in constructed? is the extra mana worth it?
1 mana +2 attack and spellpower. Really worth it (unless mana curve reasons.)
yeah i agree, better get crafting haha
19:35 But Trump... you always say that the 2 armor is nearly worthless... wouldn't having the useful card earlier be better, in order to have more options earlier?
can alarmobot work if you have no cards but obv draw a card when its ur turn again?
Nope
The Alarm o' Bot activates prior to the card draw, so no.
3 flamestrikes mage. 2 flamestrijes is fine, you would hope that you would have board advantage and card adantage after two of them. Probably a bad card to run 3 of.
You have to wonder what else was offered. Sometimes 3 Flamestrikes is better than some of the other cards.
The only proper reaction after getting triple flamestriked
Good thing i don't have to work tomorrow. :)
Can flamestrike damage stealthed characters?
Dogsong Yep, being stealthed just means you can't be targeted, you can still be hit, ie. knife juggles, ogres, AoE etc... are all still a danger.
Yes area damage spells always can
Yeah
Trump when will you update your decklists?
Still, having a sea giant + 5/1 spiteful magma rager on a clear board would have been much better.
That Frothing/Pyromancer play hnnnnnnnnnng
*from the other room* do you like to play with fire?!?! Love it when that happens lol
Yaaaay! I've been waiting all day :D
at which times do you stream?
1:00:00 it is time to play the game of how much removal does the mage have.
Trump starting hands were crappy in the first 4 games yet he still won!
(Spoiler)
Lol, he didn't even used the coin in the last fight. Epic!
Why you no take candle?
MINE!
Against that rogue when you were 8-1 You could of sent out the sea giant, attacked the scrub with the spiteful smith, then used slam on the ooze. This way you only take 6 damage. this way the next turn if you survived you could of done 17 damage and won the game.
He needed 19 to win, not 17.
Jake Harrison
Yes but at that point the opponent couldn't deal 6 damage or deal with the board.
IPIay
Yes but the point is you said he could do 17 damage and win the game, which he couldn't, plus no top deck could give him the damage or card could give him the fatal.
Jake Harrison
Alright but I'm still right tho lol. he could of won but it's w/e easier to pick apart ppls mistakes when watching a vid.
IPIay I really don't see any viable way he could win, feel free to prove me wrong though and explain it.
One hour 30 minutes...wow
Trump don't put such a spoiler in the description next time please! Thank you
Does he pay for arenas or does he use gold?
I assume Trump uses gold: Because he's "so good" at this game, he usually wins (at least) 6 games in each of his arena runs. Most of the time, he gets lucky and wins lots of gold when his arena run ends. In this video, he has an excess of 3215 gold while choosing his cards for this arena run.
Of all the questions to ask, this one seems...kind of stupid. If i had 300 gold, i'd use it for the arena. Too bad i'm not good enough to win more than eight times consistently. QQ
Also, Trump, when you were 8-1, I think you misplayed: Near the end, you could have slammed the Argent Commander (thereby drawing a card, which might have saved the day), gotten a Sea Giant or Azure Drake onto the field, and (depending on the card draw) used your Weaponsmith on the field to kill the Argent commander. The amount of time you spent contemplating your options, and the choices you made with such little time to make choices, seemed mediocre compared to your options.
Oh well, you realized that you misplayed, yet your rationale for playing the way you did seems...stupid...? There was no need for you to take damage to your hero in order to kill the Argent Commander. Trying to survive is more important than assuming that your opponent will have favorable trades on your minions...when your opponent had several ways to finish you, regardless of whether or not you killed the Argent Commander. Yet by killing the commander, you had more chances to survive the following turn, thereby armoring up and possibly clearing his board of minions.
All plays MIGHT not have lost. Running out of time to think seems like a sad excuse for misplaying...
Ari Rejtman TL;DR
Sorry. I DID read the first three paragraphs, but then I got bored. So yeah.
Well, I agree with most of what you wrote, Ari Rejtman, but I can understand Trump's rationale as well. In some cases, a somewhat lower chance of survival the turn coupled with a much higher chance of winning subsequent to survival might combine to an overall higher chance of victory.
so good, thanks Trump.
Trump is the only player I watch draft.
Yay new Trump video!
I thought I was seeing a new card but it was without a name. Maybe tiny golem or virgin murlock would be a suitable title? But then it moved and I realised it wasnt a card. It was trumps face.
Only kidding. But seriously its wrong for trump to want donations when he makes a lot more money then all the kids that give him their pocket money.
Big bad Trump stealing all the kids' allowances... OR adults with jobs donating their money for the entertainment he provides. You know, either one.
57:10 oh wow that play against the rogue was so painful to watch ... that was....terrible played :-/
Yeah a long video.
yo trump
damn... i always get maximum 3 wins.. how does he get such a good run all the time
pro ._.
Simple. It really boils down to that you don't put the time and effort in this game to the extent he does.
By time and effort I mean play time and or research strategy/deck building.
damn ._. student from singapore, aint got tat time
calvite100 frankly you don't really need that much time, honestly its up to you to find it
calvite100 lol me too
xD hahaha
Idea for hero power: hero takes 3 damage, you gain 1 temporary mana.
That would have been massivly OP.
SuperFurren thats what flame imp does..
That would be the most overpowered ability ever. You could just have all 3 cost and up minions in the deck. And you could be 2 turns ahead of your opponent if you go first. Three damage may seem like a setback but for what you gain it is well worth the cost.
Way to strong of a hero ability. The only idea I could ever come up with is give a Minion +1 attack or +1 health for the turn. But I am not sure if it would be underpowered or overpowered.
Take 3 damage, gain 1 mana? So basically spend one mana to take 3 damage... Yes, OP. Especially if your side of the board is clear.
3215 gold.. wtf.
ribbo has 8k
Donald Trump and 666 or 66 floor?
Trumptime!
HA FIRST I WIN THE INTERNET HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA IM MORE FIRST THAN FIRST TURN DENNIS SMITE
Poor Dennis :O
L
Lame reward for 12 wins.
#spolieralert :(
Filip Cederfält Your own fault, really :P
Hes not big or bad. Is it not greedy to earn thousands a week playing a computer game and then encourage hard working adults, who in all likelyhood earn less, to give him more money. And thats discounting any kids who donate.
That is a debatable subject but also a pointless one. He is working. He is doing a work that he loves, which many people does not have this opportunity at this very second (< that is the real point of all this debate. Jealousy, envy and so on). Everyone wishes to wake up in the morning thinking "today i'm gonna have a great day working, can't wait !" but only the ones who gave themselves enough time, effort and know exactly what they want to do get to that point. Of course I am not defending him or you or anybody else or trying to offend.
He's putting out a product (streams and videos) and allowing people to pay for it if they wish. I don't see the problem.
Its not greedy at all you are the one who decides if you want to pay for the content not him.
Think about what a sports commentator/consultant on TV does: getting paid to talk about something he's passionate about. Now think of Trump as the video game equivalent of that, add the fact that he makes much less money and most of his content is self-funded, and now you see why he asks for donations.
thousands a week? where do you take that number from? did he tell you?
