Double equality+consecration? Yes please. Two class specific epics? Yes please. Deck's missing kings and truesilver, but having included those would have just made it feel like turning on invulnerability cheats.

You make a good case for why Novice Engineer is too weak, now, after the nerf. I think it deserves that 1 hp back, consider all hero powers seem to be slightly weaker than other 2 mana cards. Except in this case, that is.
Novice is somewhat good as a early game stall into a late game card draw, so it might not be optimal to play it early but I think it still has its place in the game.

Nah, i think someone out there probably cleared something like triple Ysera and 4 golems with a top decked consecrate + equality combo.

Leader of Wolves True, but I find it disgusting because unlike a Equality+Pyromancer/Consecrate, you see all your minoins get targeted individually before they die.

lol ive been going 3/3 only actually. no 0/3.. went 6/3 with a mage couple nights back where i won the 6 in a row and then lost 3 games horribly, in a row..been playing for 14 days tops. I just feel i need more vids. search for Paladin? 2 viable videos tops.. mage has 1-2 videos that are worth it. trump makes it easy on us going with the being able to pick for yourself. Its just brilliant. Follow a tier list for 10-15 cards.. enough removal? enough late ? enough early? if you have, pick the last 15-20 cards to fit the first 10-15 ones and you should be good. The mage deck i took to 6-3 i didnt even use a tier list.. everything made sence picking.
I think the analogy you were going for Trump is that hitting the paladin button is like playing a novice engineer. Every single turn.

You and TotalBiscuit are one of the reasons why I downloaded the game last week. I tried my first arena last night. Made a ton of mistakes and went 0-3, but I learned a lot. At least my first two games were extremely close.
Keep watching the videos (Trumps for learning, TB's for entertainment) and keep playing. I would suggest starting with constructed for a bit before doing a lot of Arena because you learn a lot just playing and going 0-3 actually looses you gold verses just buying packs.

Happens to all of us, after your 2nd or 3rd run that's when you start getting 3-3's and 4-3's and then you get that one special deck that goes above and beyond!
That is what I have been doing. Just wanted to try my hand at it and quickly realized I was in over my head. Did gets some nice rares and an 2 epics out of it though.

It makes no sense to shy away from arena just because of the risk of losing. You are guaranteed a pack and bonus stuff. On average you get 50 gold back and buying a pack at the store is 100 gold. Arena is just the most efficient way (unless you spend real $) to expand your card collection.
Krip is fun to watch as well.

at 38:29, you could go sheep to Farseer,then trade the recruit and protector for sylvanas.
finish off farseer with Murlock and play your big guy! that could possibly buy you another turn!

I just drafted a deck like this. Truesilver, Consecration + equality x1, Hammer x2, Avenging Wrath, Lay on Hands, Argent Commander and I would say all the other cards are above average. Current score 9-1. Insane deck! Link for the full deck: imgur.com/a/X8UNk
I wonder if Blizzard will put different hero skins in the game. Cosmetics tend to be common in free to play games.

Schist025 i heard that they are making alternate heroes for classes, so i think thats the closest thing you will get to cosmetic changes

Trump, at 38:00 I went through the math on that(though I'm sure you did too). It's impossible to clear his board without playing Stormwind Champion and killing the Sheep, which is the only creature you want him to take, since every other creature deals you lethal. There was no way out of it. GG
I have actually found that Questing Advernturer is better in Arena than constructed, it's also better the lower you're curve is. That being said when I've picked it as the least bad choice, it's often ended up stuck in my hand because I can't play enough cards afterward to make it worth playing. Because you optimally want board control when u play it.

@1:03:05 A potentially better value play could be Trump playing argent protector on cult, place him between cult and bear. Follow up with defender of argus next to cult master + argent protector, allows his board to be a 5:3, 2:3, 3:3, and a 3:3 bear. Hit grizzly into abom end up having 1 3:1 and 1 2:1 while the cult master 5:3 is intact for maximum card draw + mana potential.
Edit: Of course I'm sitting on the outside looking so it's much easier, and meant no disrespect as he won the match anyways. Just thought it could have been a nice play.
Trump at first I deeply respected the fact that you didn't BM the enemy players, but so many times you had wicked opportunities to use supreme BM moves, but you just do exact lethal T_T

i must say, if you can protect a core hound for just 2 rounds with the right cards you can make it a game ender.

38:30, use 1-1 to attack the 3-3, use 2-1 to charge the 3-3, then 2-2 and 3-3 attack 5-5, at last put a 7 crystal
The second match just shows how brutal Arena can be even if you pull off the dream.. But then again, it also teaches new players just how important board control is.. You must have removal cards or you won't get very far...
IMO Paladin is the best for Arena. Really solid class cards. Tough about not drafting a TrueSliver Champion TT

In you game against rogue, wouldn't it be good to cast wisdom on 1/1 first turn? it gives you 2 cards if he attacks or prevents early damage if opponent don't want to give you extra cards
Can someone please explain how the randomness of avenging wrath works, because it doesn't seem to be very random
dear trump, you use some specific program to show your deck in the screen while you play your games or is just video editing? if that's so, what is the name of the program? I wanna start a video stream of arenas in my country but I don't know what is the better way to start, I really love if you can give some pointers :)

Trump at 38:44 it was possible because you could place stormwind,champion down and send the blue gill warrior and the sheep and hope that sylvan oils took the sheep or the recruit
he would still die to 1 damage plus hero power plus next turn hero power. Since his deck didnt have any healing and his board would be empty, no chance.

Why did the Blademaster move to the left if it was dropped to the right edge?
Wait at 13:03, if he had only the infiltrator, would that be a paradox cheap way to make it impossible for the enemy to do anything about it without AoE cards? :P cause it doesn't look like the stealth went away after the infiltrator got taunt
If a minion has stealth, then taunt doesn't come into effect before the minion attacks.
I did my first arena but only got 5... Lost to 2 paladins in a row, I didn't have much late game. Oh well. Over 1000 gold so I may keep trying, it was fun and I think I play decently, but the deck building part worries me.
Theoretically, you could have bought yourself one more turn in game 6, although the game probably wasn't winnable. Sorry if I don't recognize the names of the cards just by the picture, but it'd be something like this. Play Champion + Bluegill. Bluegill trades with the 3/3. Run the (now) 4/4 into Sylvannus. Pop the slime with the shielded guy. Run the sheep into Sylvannus and finish her off. At that point you just have to hope the RNG picks your Recruit and not the Champion *and* the Mage doesn't have an immediate damage play, but if you're lucky you only take 2 damage on the crackback.
is there a reason as to why the frames drop so much when he gets to his rewards at the end of the video? its a little annoying. or am i the only one that gets this problem?

I would like to see more options for hero powers. I would buy more hero powers to change the way a class works.
That's neat way to truly make the game pay to win.
Better idea- How about we make it so that if you pay money, the enemy automatically concedes 5 seconds into the match regardless of how they feel about it?

Print-Screen your list, open the picture in paint and cross out the cards you draw. Run the game in a window so you can see your list and quickly jump between them.

A good percentage of this game is luck man. Getting the cards you need for an opening hand is luck, top decking in a dire situation is luck. The only skill in this game is choosing good cards for the deck and knowing when to play them when you get them.

You just have to laugh at it though. You're up against a Mage and praying she doesn't topdeck 2 damage. The last card you'd expect to kill you is Abom.

Think he made a mistake there. He could have just used the 3-2 and one of the 1-1 1 to kill the abomination. This would have left him with the Venture Co. surviving which he could have used to hit the mage in the face for 7 points damage.

AHHH! At 38:40, I was so annoyed he conceded. Attack the sheep and Bluegill into Farseer, Recruit and Protector into Sylvanas, opponent's board is clear AND he could have played either Core Hound or Stormwind. Not that he wouldn't have still lost maybe, but COME ON!!!! Never give up!
Recruit had already killed the Ooze. There was no way for him to survive. Even before he did that.

Hey trump try to do an arena run where you purposely pick all the lowest tiered cards given and try to do well with them. It's a load of fun and it gets you to take a break from playing competitively all the time.
Once in constucted I was playing a warlock rush. on turn seven i had like 5 minions out to his clear board and he was he had like 5 health left. drops a molten giant for free, faceless copy, then sunfury protector to get out a 2/3 and 2 ironbark protectors turn seven.
i still won

animehbkscm He's comparing the molten giants (which are both 8/8 creatures) plus the sunfury (which gives them both taunt) to two ironbarks (which is an 8/8 with taunt). Given the molten giant's cost decreasing the less health you have, the giants would've been free (in this case) and the sunfury costs (I believe) 2 mana. Ergo, 2 ironbarks and a 2/3 on turn seven.
TasTyStarBurstS i get that he is refering to the two molten giants with taunt but why even mention the ironbarks? it made his comment really confusing.

Abom's deathrattle deals 2 damage to everything and his hero has 2 health left. There's no screw up here.
