At first Trump were only uploading drafts, then he started to upload full arena runs, now he's explaining everything in detail for newbies. Keep the good content coming!
Thanks for the extra explanations, very informative
Digest 15 pls
Such instructions. I felt like I was back to school.
Nice video Trump like always especially with the explanations for us relative newbies
I rate naturalize above corruption, with naturalize you can remove the opponents minion immediately and play out your turn to secure board.
While it's true you sacrifice card advantage for playing it, the only times I consider using naturalize are when i'm going to lose two cards to the opponents creature or i'm going for lethal.
If you also have good minions to play that turn as well it can give a huge swing in momentum.
It does depend on what kind of draft you get as well, if you rely on board control it might be a useful card to have. If you don't rely as much on board control and prefer card advantage then perhaps it's a card to avoid.
Corruption is worse as it gives your opponent time to reduce the damage from such a card (silence or brewmasters) or even just trading anyways.
Although there are a very few situations where it could be pretty good (taking down heavily buffed minions) those are unlikely to occur as often as the situations where naturalize can be useful in my opinion.
They're both quite difficult cards to use and I do understand why people avoid them both but I do think naturalize can be effective.
I agree. I built a druid deck that was pretty strong but lacked hard removal so whenever an opponent played a big minion that I would end up having to trade all my minions with or use spells that were overkill, I would end up losing. So I tossed a couple of Naturalize cards into my deck as a last ditch effort to give myself an advantage in a tough situation and my win rate improved significantly since I could use just one mana to remove his minion and then set up my board further.
Plus, I mean, if you're having to trade a lot of minions or use a lot of your cards to remove a big creature you're already giving your opponent a card advantage.
Both cards are equally bad since it can give the opponent an advantage. Naturalize is pretty much clear a scary minion and lose. Since 2 cards make a big difference. Corruption is pretty much let your Opponent decide how his minion dies by Corruption or by trading.
I just had a paladin run with 3 peacekeepers and 1 humiliation. There was a Shaman I feel particularity bad for: He played 3 Earth elements and every one got humiliated. He went afk after the 3rd one.
The fact he even got to draft three earth elementals makes me not feel bad for him
Adam Tuck guess he didnt follow the rules!
Lololololololololol it s humility not humiliation hahahha xD
Extreme Mith Isn't it though? ;)
Thanks for the teachings. =D
I appreciate explicitly explaining the thought process behind the plays. Hope to see more of TTT in the future!
Really nice job with the extra information at the beginning. As a beginner I now have a better understanding of picking cards for arena.
Love the extra insight into the decisions, very informative, thank you!
Very well done. This explains choices you make that aren't always very obvious. Helps a great deal.
Enjoyed the narration. Always interesting to hear another players thoughts on why they made a play. Great job.
Appreciate the TTT format, Trump. Just started playing Hearthstone and find it extremely helpful.
Very good idea to increase your explanations, they are very useful and I thank you for doing so. It is extremely informative :D
I love extended comments! Thanks man! Some things have been clarified for me.
Got my first 12-2 with a Priest Deck, 0 Legendaries. Was super proud of myself. Thanks Trump for teaching me your ways.
Thanks for the commentary. It made a doubling of the value of your video :)
Keep up the great work.. I look forward to more of your TTTs
Trump the explanations were fantastic! Definitely added value to an already informative vid
Today I got my 12 wins!!! :D, Priest 12-2! Yesh!
gz :D
awesome explanations, keep up the good work.
I'm hoping to see more of Trump's Tuesday Teachings.
super episode with a lot more info.. ty Sir Trump :)
22:01 Mortal Coil, Trump.
Great idea to do on Tuesdays. Love you Trump, you the man
Except for the fact that if you don't watch twitch, you would have wached this on Friday.
Brandon Hodge I watched on Twitch, but made a special effort to make sure i was there for that stream. Even if you dont watch on tuesdays, you could treat it like "Teaching Fridays" :)
Oh absolutely, I watch his stream pretty much everyday, so I see most arenas when they happen.
Thanks for this Trump, very helpful. THE VALUE!
i like that you are active with hs, most utubers uploads this like 1 episode 2 days.
The acolyte / mad bomber play @ 1:01:44 was unbelievably lucky lol, too bad he was doomed.
Good run. Still needs more explanations trump!
at 43:45 you can shattered sun the faerie dragon to trade well, faerie doesnt ignore monster effects, only spells and hero
That wouldn't have achieved much. The mage would then have played Frostbolt + Fireblast, leaving Trump with a 4/1 Faerie Dragon instead of a 2/2 Bloodsail Raider, and would be at 27 instead of 21. Drawing out the Spellbreaker at that stage was a great result for Trump.
Thanks Trump! Super helpful!
Where can I get that thing on the side that shows what cards in the deck have already been used?
Nice vid! I like how you made fun of people who don't understand the value of flame imp. haha
well played
very informative thx trump i hope that you do that in every video
Any advice for when starting out and everyone's decks are full of legendary cards so I can't even get money to get packs?
So much Bane of Doom value in this arena :D
How is Blood Imp not called a 'Blimp'. This needs to happen.
Tuesdays and Thursdays TTT !!
woohoo trump finally explains his wisdom yay!
feels pretty good to bane of doom inferno :O
1:01:41 that mad bomber!!
btw 1 dmg can matter i forgot to attack with 1 dmg minion the one with 1 1/1 divine shield and i lost with 1 dmg...
at 25:00 you should have buffed sth else with the cleric because teh brewmaster would have died either way if he had to attack the minion
Great vid, btw trump, about your 1st game bane of doom into infernal. You said it was the best one you could get, but i beleive that illidan and jaraxxus are both demons, and there is a small chance of summoning either with bane of doom (if he said this later on in the video sorry, i havent watched till the end yet)
you can't get doomguard, illidan or jaraxxus from this card. It applies only to the lesser cards.
aww
much disappoint :(
Kaffee Mug
true, would be kind of overpowerd if it would i think - but also very amusing if you draw one of them xD
4th game at turn 8/9/10 it makes me wonder more he has something like arcane missiles because the spell damage won't help him clear that board with flamestrike but it will help with a spell like that. Still watching though lol
I love bane of doom. It may be RNG, but it is fun. People forget that in this game sometimes :o
great video trump
Why does he tap ?? I dont get why the tap is for
LOVE YOU
The flame imp seems like its more of a hinderence most of the time i mean dont get me wrong it has good stats but like when he played it on the first match all it did was do 3 damage to him than swap for a 2/2 seems like it hurts most of the time right?
Think about it; the trade was fine. He traded up in mana-a 1 drop for a 2 drop. In retrospect, he only took 1 damage too. If the flame imp wasn't there to trade with the 2/2, then he would've taken 2 damage anyway. With it there, he trades up in mana and gets the tempo, which is all important for a Warlock and their ability to lifetap. It's even better on turn 1, or if it traded for a standard 3/2 rather then the shitty 2 drop.
43:40 should use thebuff on dragon and trade booth
I wish I could face some of these opponents - I think the time of day is a big factor here. A lot of the streamers play during the day and I average 3 wins higher during the day as opposed to primetime.
So bane of doom do not rewuire you to have demons in your deck it just summons a random one?
Nope
I see the only benefit from flame imp comes when you go secound and has a additional 1 drop tank like Voidwalker
Not at all. Even if the flame imp "just" trades for the 2/2 taunt, it's still fine. He traded up in mana and only took 1 extra damage. If the flame imp wasn't there, the grunt would punch him for 2 anyways. If it was a 3/2, then the flame imp does no extra damage at all. Perhaps even more importantly, it gives him the tempo advantage.
you are wrong about the best demon, the best demon you can get would be jaraxus (which you can get from bane of doom if i remember correctly)
You can't get Jaraxxus from Bane. Just these guys:
Blood Imp
Voidwalker
Flame Imp
Dread Infernal
Succubus
Felguard
Mike Caccavella You actually can get jaraxxus from bane of doom
Neither Jaraxxus nor Illidan are on the list of cards you can get from Bane of Doom, even though they're both marked as Demons.
Will King Buuuuuuut you can't.
Should proof be needed:
hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Bane_of_Doom
after i watch ur vids i get better at hs.
I faceless manipulator'd into a shield bearer once and it saved me the game. Taunt op.
great video, professor trump
i need a hug!
The nature will rice againts you!
22:00 lmao, trump you ever heard of mortal coil?
If you could increase your voice audio over the game audio that'd be great
wow for a sec there i thoght i switched tabs
Those last two games really sucked for RNG card draw.
I don't understand what Trump means when he says the paladin should have used his hero power rather than playing novice engineer. Is there any benefit to the novice surviving over the recruit if you don't have any pandas? I'd think since you can make a 1/1 whenever, it would be better to cycle the engineer as soon as possible.
Sometimes engineer should be cycled for better answers. However, other times it is better idea to keep it because you can usually sneak in an engineer with extra 2 mana. Say we have 2 mana left this turn but we'll have 4 mana left over in 2 turns. If we play engineer, we will only be able to play hero power as paladin. But, if we play hero power, then we will be able to summon 2 1/1s. But I agree that cycling engineer is not a bad option at all... We have to know what we need and what's in the deck to justify choices.
power9173 Oh, I hadn't thought of using both. that does make some sense.
да блиин что он говорит?
Novice engineer is pretty much paladin hero power with less flexibility.
tough poweroverhelming whats the point of 4 extra health when it dies anyway?.....
i agree.
it will also work on some wind fury minions. gives them extra health to trade
Tetsamaru2nd
yeah i realised 1 think too u can use it kill something big if it lives silence it lol
I can't understand what the Silvermoon Gaurdian says when he attacks.
"Remember, kill???"
Help me out here xD
"Remember Quel'Thalas!"
Quel'Thalas was the home of the elves before it was raped by Arthas and his undead bros
Timeyy
Thanks, I had absolutely no clue what he was saying :P
*****
"Push Forward" **Thwack**
Timeyy I thought he said "Remember, kill us last!" and was like "That's one hell of a "guardian"".
Lithox2g
"Remember Kel-Thalas!"
Name of the Blood Elves Original homeland...which Arthas...scourged...In Warcraft 3.
#TTT make it a thing.
Warlock power! ^_^
Lol! Warlock power! WP! Warlock pride world wide! You might be a bit misunderstood , son xD
Couldn't you get lord jauraxxus as a demon? (sorry for bad spelling)
Nope. you can only get Blood Imp, Voidwalker, Flame Imp, Dread Infernal, Succubus, Felguard
kk
justin beay And Doomguard
***** No. "Ironically, in Hearthstone, the Doomguard is not one of the demons that can be summoned by Bane of Doom." From the wiki. It did in WoW after 60 seconds. But not in hearthstone.
Link: hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Bane_of_Doom
justin beay Really? Why?
LoL,he lost like 10 health just to get rid of a secret.
THE 3RD GAME IS A REPEAT I SWEAR I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE
naturalize got 70% pick rate in arena .. lel (from wiki)
Your TRUMP shall be mine!!!!!111
7-3 the dream
Get down...if you know what I mean ;)
Too bad bane of doom doesn't have the chance to give you Jaraxxus as a minion.
But you wouldn't get that awesome hero power D:
Still, in constructed, with some luck you could get 3 Jaraxxus in a deck in play xD
MiningGB
A 3/15 is so much cooler imo
MiningGB You cant get more than 1 legendary in a deck in constructed.
5H4D0WCL4W
2 bane of dooms and the legendary? Hello read the original comment.
5H4D0WCL4W You can have as many legendaries as you like (30, watch TotalBiscuit).
I think you meant more than one of a legendary :P
Trouble in terrorist town!
I think having more than 2 flame imps in your warlock deck is bad unless you're a rush deck, but then again it all depends if you can draw them early on, or if you got a lucky sense demons. Sure the 1 mana reduced cost sounds great for a 3:2 but the damage has been buffed and generally it gets easily removed by a lot of classes which puts you behind in health and card advantage. I also hate tracking, horrible card.
I think the last game could be played better, Trump could have won actually.
imgur.com/aKIPhoD such dick deck, passed chance for 3 deathwing but how could I have known :(
blackops8121 . He means that he could have had 3 Deathwings, but instead chose 1 Deathwing and 2 Tirions.
blackops8121 . It's arena
And here i am still trying to get one epic in arena.
