When I was working for target I was the top red card seller and everything. This lady got her raise she told me she got 1.50 dllr raise, and I was excited because I worked there longer, was top seller And always on time. They offered me .07 cent increase. I told them are you serious?!?! I was like wow.. now that’s bad!!!

this is not a 20-person company, he mentions that those 25 c amount to 100,000 Dollars (whetehr per month, week or year, i didnt get), it s easier to give substantial raise if the company is vey small, in large companies the effect of just a few cents more is immense in the overall cost increase.

My daughter worked at this company. She was interviewed to be chosen (without her knowing), and when they asked her where she wanted to be in 5 yrs, she said “not here”. Oops! She blew it. Also, this guy quit right after he got the car. So did the man that got the money. This is a very old clip. About 10 yrs ago.

I’m furious! 25 cents an hour is embarrassing, a piddling increase on what is no doubt a low wage. And wow, sports drinks for two sweltering months only. Great to help one person (and I’m very happy for him) but be more generous to all your employees. US corporates get away with murder and offer a fraction of the benefits available in ALL other developed countries. Don’t let them get away with it!!

Contrary the to the comments of the other viewers. I would be grateful. I would have 25 cents an hour added to my wages, 5 thousand dollars for my Grandchildrens college and 25 thousand dollars for an upgraded vehicle that I didn't have a week ago. Plus the CEO could realize that an employee incentive program is in the best interest of his organization. This is a matter of perspective and I hope that future viewers will share mine!

So I thought 25 cents was low, if you work 5 days a week and you work 11 months of the year (time off for vacation ECT) then you get $440 more a year but after tax that leaves you with approx $350 .... He should have just said everyone gets an Xmas bonus of $350 would of sounded better
Bonuses are taxed to fuck. I got a sign on bonus, a hefty one and I walked away with just a little more than half of the amount they originally said after taxes.

Not saying the boss is a great dude but, he did do more then a lot of undercover bosses. People just always want to find something to complain about but, the guy seemed very pleased.
Someone tried to give me a quarter raise once. I quit and started my own successful co. I now own it as well as 3 properties outright.

To be fair to OTC this episode was filmed 12 years ago. The CEO in this episode passed away in 2017 from a long illness he had been battling. I’d like to think that if this was filmed in 2022/23 OTC’s rate increase would be reflected using the current COLA.
