    Imagine being shocked to find that your near minimum wage employees can’t afford food from the place they work BECAUSE YOU TOOK AWAY THE EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT. There is no way that saves Popeyes an amount of money worth letting business walk out the door. How about lower the salary of your CEO Jose Cil who makes 20 million dollars a year… no? make your employees struggle instead. Gotcha

    • @AJR-zg2py
      @AJR-zg2py ปีที่แล้ว

      Not only do you lose that business, you also encourage theft. You can save a lot of money as a business by ensuring your employees have a discount - because it goes out the door in a worker's pocket (by them not spending their money in-house or outright taking food items). I've been in restaurants and I have NEVER heard a of a place not offering employee discounts. Is Popeyes insane?

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c ปีที่แล้ว +16

      That's the typical mindset of corporations in general...the ones that do the least amount of work are the ones that make all the money, while the ones busting their asses daily are paid the worst, treated the worst, and on top of that have to deal with rude, ignorant, and selfish customers. All these corporations need to force their office people to go work the front lines in the place of their employees for a week, I bet 100% the way business is done would change right quick when the desk jockeys have to get off their asses and actually work in their stores they own, face the customers they seem to think are so great, and follow their nonsense rules they make up...and work with all the broke down equipment, non-functioning HVAC systems, run down buildings, etc.

    • @pinstripe5487
      @pinstripe5487 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@ValleyProud916 This is such a loaded response, but I'll bite.
      People get minimum wage jobs because they need some manner of income. If you want something that pays $15-20 an hour, you have to be able to present well - and not a lot of minimum wage people have access to nice clothes. In my experience, a nice suit (not even a full one, just an undershirt, jacket, and pants) can cost easily 200-300 dollars.
      Paying that much wouldn't be such an issue if minimum wage was raised and people made actually decent money so they can survive.

      Franchise restaurant, pay attention to what she said that she would make sure the employee discount is back at that restaurant and all others. It was not a corporate directive at the time but for sure would be. This is true across all brands as the owners do have a lot of control and most of it is with employees, unfortunately which has been the problems nearly every undercover boss has learned.

    My goodness me how truly ghastly that food servers are not covered to eat meals in house.
    How generous of the company to assist this gorgeous guy to have a better life and to know he is visible and respected for the work he does.
    To walk one hour to and from work is true dedication.
    God was showing off when these two folks were made.
    This so made me Smile.

    What a blessing to have Josh as her employee. What a shame that Popeyes dont even have food discounts for employees...thats just terrible. What a shame that this was new news to this boss about employee food discounts. Corporate knows nothing about what goes on and how small guys get mistreated. Having said that I am very happy she blessed Josh with all what he deserved and more
