When a scammer connected to my PC, I was able to reverse their connection and discover that they had CCTV. You're going to see the most detailed exposé of a tech support scam ever seen on TH-cam. The company were called Faremart.com - A travel agency in Delhi who use their buildings and VOIP telephony to run various scams. They are one of hundreds of scam call centres in India and this one group will make over $3 million per year with scams.

Jim, I want a video, of you getting a scammer's facebook photos, and making it your desktop background, so when they remote into your PC, they see their own pictures. This needs to happen. The more of his own personal information he sees when he connects, the better. And when you have him on video, freaking out, you can tell him to Run.
He did a video when one of them contented to Jim's PC to find their picture and their family displayed on Jim screen.

Jim not asking him to stop playing the Pacman while he's talking to him so that we could see the scammer's reaction to that was a missed opportunity. That would've been a TH-cam gold. But I get it Jim didn't want to give away he's hacked into their cctv and watching them live, as that would have caused a massive reset of the whole camera circuit or even a complete switch off on their part. So I am super torn here, it would be awesome to see the scammer's reaction to that, on the other hand it would be utterly stupid to reveal yourself this way for that one-off cheap thrill! LOL!

What amazes me is the fact the scammer kept answering Jim's nasty questions and the call lasted so long. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't go that way with a real hotline center.
I've worked in multiple real callcenters myself, and no, it would definitely NOT go like that at all lol. Tbh, all of the time they don't even talk the way you are required to talk when you work taking calls in a callcenter

The scammers went to jail, had he said, “stop playing Pac-Man”. The investigation would have been compromised. U should have sen the other video when the reporter lady was sent in and she called the head scammer asking him if he scams people, then asks about the sonit building he works in, just then he hangs up knowing it’s a bust. Yet only just realizing now, without sufficient time to run. Busted, in jail with tons of evidence against. All because dude never blew his cover for a few giggles.

Even when they are clearly caught in their lies, (while playing Pac-Man, no less), they keep trying to stick to their stories! The level of dishonesty with these people is beyond belief! My young daughter on e received a scam e mail that threatened and terrified her thankfully she told me immediately and had that trust they said they had access to her computer camera in her room and had compromising photos etc and wa her money. She was only 14 at the time. It makes me so angry. Thank you

Yes I came looking for this exact comment or I was going to say it. My grandma started writing like that and it got to the point where she was no longer able to write them out at all. It’s so upsetting to see them lose their independence because of physical inability and to think people are out there preying on them on top of it and how they must feel when they found out they were scammed on top of already feeling dependent on others for things or having memory loss. Smh it’s so heartbreaking I choked up when they got to that last check.
The guy running the operation, Amit Chauhan was arrested last week.

"The allegedly fake call centre came to light on Tuesday when assistant commissioner of police (DLF) Karan Goel was surfing the internet and saw a video where a UK national had shared a video describing the entire operations of duping people from a fake call centre in Udyog Vihar.
A case under sections 420 (cheating), 120 B (conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code and Sections 75, 43 and 66D of IT Act was registered at Cyber Crime police station on Tuesday."

Scammers target the elderly all the time. Make sure you tell all the elderly folks in your life. Tell them that if need tech support to go to a local provider directly. I feel so bad for the people who are targeted. These scammers are some of the worst people.

My grandma refuses to have any cellphones or internet access/wifi. She just has her landline. I kept insisting on getting her a laptop or an iPhone to keep in contact with her since we live far, but she won’t budge. Seeing these scams in action makes me think she was right all along hahahah

It's crazy to me just how normal they all look. They're all well dressed and well groomed and the office itself is generally clean. I guess not all scam centers are this way, but I really thought it would be a bit more run down and sketchy.
Think of it as a pure business. They just do illegal trade. There is little to no penalties especially people like this guy who are low. All you gotta do is speak English and have enough computer skills. Oh also to have low morals. Some sort of justification. I can imagine some scammers see these accounts and don’t think nothing about taking a few grand or everything they have.
