We need a movie called “Ash VS Evil” and it’s just utter mayhem with Ash hunting down Slashers with his crew from Ash Vs Evil Dead (and Tommy Jervis, Andy ((Child’s Play)) and more Horror protagonists)
I know this is a DCAU channel hut I'm really loving the non DCAU content
The explanation for the evidence locker in "Bride of Chucky" is simple. All those characters were canonically dead when that scene takes place. Micheal Myers was (thought to be) dead because of the events of H20 (Resurrection retconed it to not be the real Micheal), Jason was dead because of the events of "Jason Goes to Hell" and Freddy was dead because of the events of... "Freddy's Dead". So it makes sense all that stuff would be in police lock up. My theory is that that storage lock up with Chucky in it is actually a special facility used to store evidence connected to potentially supernatural crimes. Also, when the main character is the bad guy it's called "villain protagonist". The word "protagonist" does not imply moral alignment. You can have evil protagonists, as well as good antagonists. It all depends on the point of view of the characters the story follows.

I love shared universes that are "hiddenly" shared and you almost do not realize the connection
You forgot to include Cabin in the Woods, with its references to Deadites and a certain tree. Pumpkinhead 2 also has an appearance of the Necronomicon. And in the Friday the 13th reboot, the opening sequence has a recreation of the climax of the original, as well as references to other films in the series. It also takes place in 2008, fitting with the beginning of Jason X where he is captured and frozen in 2010. So it can be considered part of the same series, which means all of these movies do take place in the Transformers universe.
Edit: We can take the insane rabbit hole much deeper. In the same Chucky scene with references to other franchises, one of the lockers held items that sort of resemble the puppets from the Puppet Master series. Puppet Master had a crossover with Demonic Toys. Dollman vs Demonic Toys connected Dollman, Bad Channels, and Demonic Toys. Demonic Toys 2 had a character from Hideous! in a significant role. Punch from Dolls is visible in the first Puppet Master sequel.
The Army of Darkness comics, as you mentioned, crossover with Marvel Zombies, which is a canonical universe in the Marvel comics multiverse. The Marvel comics have had minor crossovers with DC over the years, and a big one with the events leading to the creation of the Amalgam universe. Then there's Death's Head, who started out in Transformers comics, then he got blown into the time stream and ran into the TARDIS from Doctor Who. The Seventh Doctor ended up dropping him off in the main Marvel universe. Doctor Who expanded universe stories have connected to Blake's 7 and the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. Some episodes of the show have references to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and one of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently books shares the character of Professor Chronotis at Cambridge with the Doctor Who story Shada. Michael Moorcock wrote a Doctor Who novel which connected the DW universe to his Eternal Champion Multiverse (which includes characters like Jerry Cornelius and Elric of Melnibone). Kim Newman wrote a Doctor Who short story that has a creature that appears in his own Diogenes Club universe, and alternate versions of some Diogenes Club characters appear in his Anno Dracula novels. He's also written novels based on the Warhammer and Dark Future games, which have connections to each other and to the Diogenes Club and Anno Dracula stories. There is also a Tenth Doctor novel where he claims Star Wars is real in the context of his universe. There's a DW and Star Trek crossover comic. And many other connections between universes and multiverses. Almost all of pop culture could be considered part of the same vast fictional reality.
You should read League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen if you haven't already. It's set in an alternate universe where all fiction is real. It ties together Harry Potter, Winnie-The-Pooh, The Simpsons, 120 Days Of Sodom, Frankenstein, The Great Dictator, Citizen Kane, Doctor Who, Mary Poppins, James Bond, War Of The Worlds, 24, Black Books, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Thomas The Tank Engine, 1984, The Boys From Brazil, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, The Big Lebowski, Don Quixote, Twin Peaks, Star Trek, Thunderbirds, every Dickens novel, Eastenders, Popeye, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Seinfeld, Greek Mythology, The Cthulhu Mythos, Godzilla, The Cat In The Hat, that Monty Python sketch with the giant hedgehog, Tomb Raider, Gulliver's Travels and loads of others! It's really fun.
Also, canonically, Godzilla exists in Marvel
No, in the prologue, Jason is a kid but in the sequels prologue which takes place 2 months later, Jason is an adult

Don't forget the Pinhead reference in Bride of Chucky. Chucky commenting after a kill with nails in the face was familiar could be vague memories of his time being tortured by Cenobites in Hell. We have the crate in Jason Goes To Hell as well, which seems to work in Creepshow which could totally mean several Stephen King properties COULD fit in given how King's stories tend to be linked, if only these are alternate reality versions.

I sometimes like to imagine that all these horror films take place in the Mortal Kombat universe. Not only have most of the slasher villains appeared in the games, but the way physics work in the MK is conducive with some of the crazy kills we see in the later Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies.
In "bride of Chucky" you can saw the Michael Myers mask, the Jason hockey mask, the chainsaw of Leatherface, and the claws of Freddy, so i guess they share the same universe.
Also in "the life of Leslie Vernon" i think it was called, it kind to show that the movies are conected.
I'm aware of this, through your post on Reddit (it's a small world), and it's pretty cool.

This is part of the reason I love "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon." The conversation between the main characters and the late great Scott Wilson, talking about the Slasher Kings as work colleagues and acknowledging they all exist and know each other. Love that movie...
I was glad to hear you all mention Hack/Slash! I hope she gets her own movie or tv show sometime, maybe a crossover with Michael Myers.
You can still really connect the Thorn trilogy and the later Halloween movies as well. I mean there's no reason for Loomis to have been alive post Halloween II and it was clear Marion had been caring for him for years. Likewise there are a few Easter eggs in the opening to Halloween H20, one of which being the bloody scissors in one of the photos. That's likely a reference for Halloween 4's ending. And I think the original H20 script included the Jamie Lloyd character being referenced. There's also the Laurie Strode faking her death thing. You can make it work even if it has rough edges.
Likewise Texas Chainsaw can work. The first two movies happen, and at the end of the second Leatherface survives and heads into the backwoods with Grandpa's corpse to shack up with other family members, say cousins considering what we find out in later movies. S
tretch pops up in a blink and you'll miss her cameo in part III investigating body parts being found, so she's still keeping tabs on the Sawyer thing. 2013's Texas Chainsaw works with Leather heading to his mother's and living in the basement in the 90s though you have to work around the whole camera phone thing though, so again...rough edges (also there's the pig mask from SAW in there, so maybe that's just a popular mask from a horror series in that universe or something to that effect).
Next Generation's opening crawl mentions the chainsaw murders but these clearly not the same characters, but then the Illuminati (Illuminati in Texas....sounds an awful lot like Rob Zombie's 31) are behind it, perhaps replacing the original characters to keep the terror ongoing. Unfortunately this clan is pretty pathetic and they're wiped out, but enough clues and info are there to create the Michael Bay era Chainsaw films as movies, giving the Hewitt surname to that clan and making the populace at large think it's only a movies series based on nondescript urban folklore coming out of Texas.

you can connect texas chainsaw 3 and next generation too, because in 3 there is a cameo by stretch and the audio commentary confirms it is the same chara, despite the intro scroll not mentioning part 2. Also next generation intro scroll says "two minor incidents" after mentioning the 1973 events, so it mentions 2 and 3.

In a shared universe, I wonder if all the slashers could be written from a Hellraiser perspective. For example, if in Freddy vs Jason when Freddy said he searched in hell for someone that remembered him and he found Pinhead from Hellraiser to make deal to come back, which resulted in somehow Jason being brought back at the same time.
There was a planned sequel to freddy vs jason in which they both would interact with pinhead, but it never materialized because rights issues iirc. Ash Williams was also considered to make an appearance.
Behind the Mask was my JAM! great movie. It's how I found the Talking Heads.

I've been watching your videos a ton for the last 6 months
The Scream (original trilogy) also fits in as a Freddy VS Jason prequel because the Prescott house and the Thompson house are the same set, hinting that, as part of the plan to strip Freddy of his power, Springwood was renamed to Woodsboro. The iconography of Ghostface and Easter eggs like Fred the Janitor hint at lingering effects of Freddy's influence on the town. The Loomis name also possibly further ties in Halloween and adds Psycho to the Universe. Also throw in any movie or franchise that has featured the Evil Dead-style Necronomicon as a prop, Cabin In the Woods (as someone else in the comments mentioned), and The Faculty (possibly referenced in Cabin).

I have a cool idea for Slasher Cinematic Universe: It turns out that Ghostface from Scream was in Cult that worshipped Chuck Lee Ray ( human Chucky) that's my idea for a crossover movie 1. For the crossover movie 2 Michael Myers stumbles upon Chucky (reborn) and they fight. To make things more crazy Chucky was a member of Cult of Thorn and for revenge plans on taking over Michael Myers body in a sequel.

Yeah the Friday verse nightmare verse and evil dead verse are all connected. It's amazing and makes me appreciate Jason goes to hell so much more cause the Necronomacon is seen in the Voorhees house. Awesome and the comics are amazing
Wow. I never thought I'd see Frozen (2007) mentioned on a channel like this. If there's anything that fills me with joy, it's the mental image of Michael Myers and Jason Vorhees trapped on a ski lift together.
There's also the Candy Man slasher. Is Candyman in that universe? That's something that has never been solved.
A few years before Freddy vs.jason there was a fake movie poster if all the horror icons fighting each other.It was called "Countdown"as in counting down witch monster would kill the most or who would survive.

If you continue to add other media sources (like you did with the comics) you can get Dead by Daylight in there which references many of the horror characters you did while adding franchises like Saw, Scream, Stranger Things, and even the Left 4 Dead video game.

Few things to note: the original Chainsaw films have a messy timeline in that they can be conceived as all in one series, or each as a standalone continuation of the first. The intro to The Next Generation explicitly mentions the previous three movies of the franchise. Not that that has much bearing on the other crossovers. There is also a Jason Vs. Leatherface comic, though that's pretty loose with its continuity seemingly taking place before the first Chainsaw in the 70s, despite Jason existing in the late 80s at that point. Sleepaway Camp II also references Jason, Freddy and Leatherface, but it's not clear if this is in or out of the universe.
The Chucky references can probably make sense within the timelines. Jason lost his mask twice; once after the Final Chapter and again at the end of Jason Takes Manhattan.
I like to think that after loosing his brothers in 2 , leatherface takes the next for years to recover and live with his mother and other family.
@@supersaiyanjalil It's perfectly plausible, since Leatherface is almost superhuman by this point. Grandpa is the other returning character as well, though he's basically a corpse. If Stretch is used to bridge the continuity between TCM and Hatchet, then you can't ignore her cameo in TCMIII. The actress considers that to be a continuation of her character.
@@SlashManEXE yup that makes a whole lot of sence because grandpa was dead in the 3rd film due to the explosion. Leatherface was able to still fight lefty after being stabbed so I like to think he grabbed grandpa still thinking he was alive used the years from 1986 to 90 to recover and his personality probably changed from goofy to serious after loosing his 2 brothers. And he probably was wearing a leg brace from the effects from the explosion and not from a accident a decade back. So yeah now I officially count all of Them canon.

And the puppet master had a crossover with the demonic toys
They also talk about the midwich murder that takes place in the village of the dammed in a deleted scene
And they also a suttle reference to pin head where chucky says why does that look so familiar.

Halloween 2018 is great if you're not a major fan of Halloween II (1981) and the fact that it made Michael and Laurie siblings. It does pay tribute to a lot of the best parts about the other Halloween movies, but it adds enough new material and good writing/exploration of Laurie's trauma that it's good on its own.
I love this breakdown, especially how it goes over multiple mediums, but you didn't talk much about one: video games. Obviously, Mortal Kombat has had a lot of different horror icons as playable characters, but there's one that I would argue rises above the rest.
In the game Dead by Daylight, horror icons such as Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Michael Myers, Amanda Young/The Pig/Jigsaw's Apprentice, Ghostface, and the Demogorgon all sacrifice and kill survivors such as Laurie Strode, Ash Williams, Nancy Wheeler, and Steve Harrington for an ancient Eldritch god known simply as The Entity (alongside a bunch of original killers and survivors). Of course, there are some continuity issues; Nancy and Steve come from a world where most of those franchises are fictional. The version of Freddy in the game is the 2010 reboot. Ghostface is not one of the killers from the Scream franchise but another character who happens to use the same mask and moniker. However, because the Entity is able to draw out killers and survivors from different place in space and time, it may also be able to crossover to different universes to pick and choose who/what it wants. Ash Williams (post TV-Show) accidentally brought himself to its realm when he said some magic words wrong.
But yeah, horror fans have always generally accepted that all horror movies take place in the same universe (all of Stephen King's books already do). A lot of the most popular horror videos on TH-cam are crossover fan films. It's just a matter of companies not wanting to collab/give up rights. Jason Voorhees has basically been killed by Copyright. And while it will always be a question of what works will stand the test of time, I like to think that in the 2080s, there's going to be a resurgence of slasher horror as all of the icons enter the public domain and we can finally get the crossovers we wanted.

Stretch appears in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 too in a small role as a reporter, supposedly because Stretch is still hunting Leatherface. SO 3 is part of the continuity of 1 and 2.

I saw ( don't k.ow if its true) from the 2021-25 are rebooting/ reintroducing. Jason voorhees, Michael Myers, Chucky, Freddy Kruger. They may have new origins and a more shared origins to each that made them.

I always wanted to see the Tall Man from the Phantasm series fight Jason Voorhees. Can Jason's rage overcome the Tall Man's control over the dead?
It would be extremely easy to make movies exist in the same universe. A kid goes to summer camp while staying with his grandparents in New Jersey and he witnesses the copy cat Jason voorhees kill all those people. He then goes home to his parents who live in haddonfield il. On the way home his parents stop at an S mart located in springwood Ohio. While they’re driving they hear a news report on the radio about a group of missing teens in Texas. While on the road they drive passed a good guy doll stuffing a rag in someone’s exhaust pipe. That’s literally 6 different franchises I’ve linked together in a fraction of an idea.

This was a really interesting video and it really got my mind thinking after seeing this though of course I've seen people in the comment section giving more movies that are supposed to be connected and there's one comment saying scream and west cravens new nightmare take place in the same universe ( which i thought was interesting to ) but for now I'll just stick with this list because the movies that were listed in the description section have been 100% confirmed to take place in the same universe while other stuff in the movie's haven't been 100% confirmed to take place in the same universe for now and we don't know if some of the other easter eggs served a purpose of being there or are just there just as fun little nods that have nothing major behind them

the Scream movies definitely don't exist in it since every slasher movie is shown to be fictional movies in the Scream universe, even though Scream 2 shows up on a TV in Halloween H2O, despite the Halloween references in it and the original Halloween film being shown on a TV in the first Scream movie, who really cares about contiunity honestly
