Season Two is a step up
Same world but different continuum...
To me this would mean the two shows are like an "Earth A" and "Earth B", two different timelines so closely mirrored they appear at times to be the same timeline. Many things that happen on one world would happen in a similar fashion but not always identically in the other... This can allow for references back and forth, but also leaves the door open for changes/errors between the two including different actors filling some roles...
This would be a lot less confusing if I had seen either of these shows 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm a little lost on something. If Dick and Dawn were a thing during the original Titans, what happened between Dawn and Hank? In their flashback episode you see them meet each other and Dawn takes on the Dove persona along side Hank when they beat up the teacher who abused him. You also see them start their relationship. All of this before they even met Dick and started Titans. So what happened to make Dawn leave Hank for Dick?
Haven't watched any of these shows, but when I do I'm starting with Swamp Thang.

I give you massive props for doing this, especially considering the timeline just illustrates how terrible Titans is! Ive never experienced 2 shows with such vastly different degrees of quality! I can only imagine how the huge season 2 retcon of the Titans being a thing in the past will effect your revised version of this timeline?! Im sure the minute you saw the beginning of Titans season 2 you wanted to pull your hair out over the inconsistencies! Frankly because of my distaste for Titans I still choose to view Doom Patrol as a different world altogether! I see many wishing Cyborg was on Titans, but I prefer him right where he is: on a great show with show runners that know what they are doing. Great video guys! I simultaneously respect, am awed by & do not envy you guys when having to catalogue this stuff! Lol I will say this, you have given me more enjoyment here than the entirety of watching Titans, so thank you! 🙏🏾😜
Mattie Washburn It only gets worse as season 2 progresses! Lol Its as if season 2 exists in a different world than season 1! You not only get the Titans existing but this entire backstory of stuff that couldn’t possibly fit into what they established! Also I love the actor and everything I have seen him in but Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne is the most baffling casting choice I have seen in a long long time! I cant for 1 second believe he is the brutal psychopathic Batman they set up in season 1! Everyone I showed a pic to that didn’t watch the show assumed he was Alfred! lol

Episode 6 of Titans season 2 comes out Friday on DC Universe. It's titled "Connor" and will focus on Superboy

Not every DCU show is 100% confirmed to be in Titans/Doom Patrol's shared universe. So whatever happens with Swamp Thing is irrelevant to that.

*I'm kidding about the Arrowverse thing obviously - it would be an insane task. However, there's a great blog called MyGeekyGeekyWays that's gone over everything that's come out of the Arrowverse so far except the CWSeed stuff, & I'd argue that it's just as good a resource for information as the wiki, so if you guys ever considered covering any of the Arrowverse stuff (even if it was just the stuff on Earth-38 or whatever Earth Black Lightning takes place in to make it slightly less daunting) I'd highly recommend using that as a resource.

Showrunners and actors for Doom Patrol have said that these two shows aren't connected. Just like Swamp Thing.
Titans and Doom Patrol should have a Defenders-esque crossover.
I'd just watch the two shows like this: Titans season 1, Doom Patrol season 1 and then Titans season 2 and finally Doom Patrol season 2 (hasn't come out yet) but that just how they were released

Official press release from DC/WB states Doom Patrol takes place following their episode in Titans. Show runner has also said "They're in the same world. We're asking fans to come to this version of the show knowing that it is the same world, but it's a different continuity. While there are elements of Titans and the show’s introduction of our team, not all characterizations are the same and it's best just to come into it with a fresh look." Not to mention that episode 2 has references to the Krypto/Superboy ending for Titans season 1 and the death of Melissa Roth from that shows first episode. Rita even brings up her time in the hospital in the Doom Patrol episode "Frances Patrol"; so again they're taking what was said in Titans into account. Regardless of Chief looking and sounding a bit different and the "Danny Street" mention by the hunter Dick Grayson beat up. Titans Season 1 is December-November, Titans Season 2 is March-April, with the Doom Patrol easter egg being recognised since the show jumps 3 months in episode 2 of Season 2, and Doom Patrol is October with a flash forward to April.

Sadly I've opted not to watch not because it will require a subscription but because WB/DC should just have one app instead of the multiple HBO apps and other apps they have in total. I figure after Disney + launches some executive who lacks commons sense to group it all up will instead think of just copying Disney since is appear to be second nature lately.
On another note, you guys definitely need to add a timeline graph so we can follow along.
Figured the on-screen dates were plenty, not really a room for dozens and dozens of dates in a line in constant view. We plan to put up a timeline webpage on our website soon!
Okay I have a question/theory for Batman beyond. We know metahumans exist and are connected to static. We know that Derek powers wanted to use a nerve gas. The gas is used on him and in order to save him he exposed to a radiation that activates his meta powers. Is blight a new generation bang baby since its likely the gas was likely the same riot gas used by Edwin alva.
Not sure Blight had his “metagene activated,” so to speak. Comic book character origins are all over the board with the “science” of it all.
DP from the show are a different continuity from the DP in titans
Maybe it was the same world, but after the "Decreator time fiasgo" it became an alternate timeline and then the TV's Crisis On Infinite Earths made it an alternate Earth

We're trying to branch out from time to time! Still gonna focus primarily on DCAU, but it's fun to talk about the other stuff, too! (Unfortunately, we haven't collectively been keeping up with the Arrowverse for a few seasons...but that crossover...)

Mostly before. But also, they’ve since been revealed to be separate universes, and they don’t have very much to do with one another. You can just watch one or the other, or both, however you want.

I don’t believe we find out how long ago the original Titans were together or came together in the first place. Just included every date/time we DO know about from both shows.
