Been smoking and trimming briskets for years and years. I still watch videos to see the latest tips and tricks. This is by far, the best video I have ever watched regarding it. Well done sir!
I’ve seen shorter videos on trimming, but many thanks to you for being thorough. You not only gave the “what” and how-to, but you gave the “why” which is way more important. Thank you!
Wow really appreciate this brother!! This was my hesitation in even filming this one bc I knew I was inclined to make it WAY too long haha. Thanks to wifey she chopped it up in a way that got across exactly what I wanted while still keeping out “Masterclass” format of being DETAILED but not brutally detailed 😂
Fellow bbq nerd here! I can honestly say that I've probably seen 97% of youtubers brisket and brisket trim videos, and they're all the same. Nothing against any of them of course, but I took away at least 5 good MAJOR tips from your video and your other videos before this. Your channel is top tier, straight to the point, no cuts in between and I have been recommending it to all of my bbq nerd herd haha. I respect the fact that even though you cook in volume on bigger pits, but you speak for the typical backyarders like most of us! Also thank you for clarifying that the membrane on the flat isn't silver skin and it reassured me to just leave it alone. Keep these videos rolling they're the highlight of my weekends now before my catering gigs. Thank you Mrs. Meat n Greet!!
I've watched many videos on trimming brisker🎉 and I've learned more from you than any other video thank you for explaining what how and why you're doing it
This is the first time I've watched your channel. I really like the way you explain everything you do and why. Thanks again and I hope I'll see another one soon.
Thanks! Your instruction is absolutely top-notch. There are many TH-camrs that pour their heart and soul into what they do. Somehow, you, Sir, manage to do that plus take it to a whole different level. This is my first ever contribution to any TH-cam channel. I appreciate you, your wife and anyone else involved in your channel.
BROOO!!! Can’t thank you enough for showing love and support not just with comments but with your hard earned money. More content to come brother hope to see you around 🙏
My man! I wasn’t expecting a straight master class! You are a 10th degree black belt in brisket trimming! I smashed that sub button with the quickness! Keep em coming vato!
This was amazing. You make the most informative, easy to understand videos I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and thank you Mrs Meat & Greet for encouraging him to do so.
Wow....Ngl... This video is hands down the best brisket trim video I've seen. I definitely picked up on more than 2 tips from the video. There was a lot of stuff shown here that I never saw on any other video as well. Thx again, and I can't wait to see more.
Great video my man. Kudos to you. Very explanatory and you kept me engaged. I tend to lose focus easily. Thanks for your advice. And also thanks to Mrs meet n greet!
Thanks brother!! We don’t always drop a Masterclass, but when we do we try to leave NO stone unturned. I’m all about giving the goods with no gotchas or money involved. Hope you enjoyed boss. Brisket Masterclass inbound soon 👀
No me binge watching your videos. Literally, I enjoy your videos. But you break it down and show a-z steps which is the way I teach. But I learned so much from watching your videos. I wish I could come to your place and just learn.
I could honestly watch your videos all day. I like the way you explain everything and take the time to go through each step. I dont wanna jack up my brisket when trimming and this vid is a big help.
Ive had many an issue with point side being much thicker than flat. Which has led to some severely uneven cooks. This helped me greatly. I appreciate you
Thank for the very informative video. That was more informative in one minute than most in twenty minutes. Most videos will show you how to trim a brisket. You showed not only how to trim a brisket, but, why. This has got to be the very best brisket trimming video I’ve seen. The little tricks you explained will save me unlimited time and damaged meat. Thanks again for a great video.
Big thanks bro really appreciate the support!! Throw that brisket down for sure bubba can’t go wrong with a nice weekend cook. I’ll tell you though, if they made you want to cook one, wait until I drop my brisket masterclass 👀👀😅
Indeed a great video! Since diving into the offset smoking hobby I have watched numerous brisket trimming videos and this one is certainly one of the best. Well done sir! It still kills me to cut (trim) that brisket but it certainly makes for a better outcome!
Keep the content coming man! Great videos and high quality. I remember seeing various other TH-camrs, like Chuds BBQ at under 10k subs and now they’ve blown up to several 100 thousand. Consistency is key!
Your videos are very informative. I thank you and your wife behind the camera for all your hard work. Thanks for dropping your knowledge. Man, I learned how to trim a brisket the hard way. I wish your video had been out years ago. I wouldn't have made my mistake, but your knowledge is priceless.
Thanks for the support bro! Haha I was a bit late to the TH-cam scene that’s for sure but hey, mistakes are kinda the ugly necessary evil of this hobby of our aren’t they? 😂😅
Bravo, Mr & Mrs Meet n’ Greet! Excellent brisket trim! I particularly like your remedy for scalping the flat - great and logical fix. Best brisket trim video!
Career cook here and honestly you are doing an awesome job at teaching the how to, but also the why, which is in my opinion just as important to secure that knowledge
Happy to have a new video. Lots of details but at the same time made trimming fairly simple. Looking to getting a brisket on the pit soon and having the trim process go a little quicker. Thanks guys
Thankful for your support my friend! Glad the video was helpful! Tried to make it two folk meaning you could follow basic principles and be solid or you could dive into the details if you wanted. Kinda either or based on experience and preference. Again, thanks for supporting the channel!
Something tells me you're an engineer of some sort, lol. This was the most thorough brisket trimming video I have ever watched. Thr brisket is my last bbq challenge for myself.
Welcome back man, your videos are great. I thought I knew it all when it came down to trimming a brisket but I couldn’t stop scalping. I’m going to use your method of keeping my knife facing up.
Great vid thanks…I got one from heb with the deckal already removed but it was a weird trim and made the point curl so I want to do all my own trimming from now on. This will be my guide thanks again.
Hell yeah, the video series we've all been waiting for!!! Thanks for the knowledge, brother! Looking forward to my next brisket cook! You're the man! Cheers! 🍻🥩

By chance do you have any thing on your channel that talks about how you smoke your brisket then finish it in the oven? And if you do finish it in the oven how does that impact the bark?
Been smoking and trimming briskets for years and years. I still watch videos to see the latest tips and tricks. This is by far, the best video I have ever watched regarding it. Well done sir!
Lots of good brisket trim videos on TH-cam, this is possibly the best. Kudos to you my man and kudos to the Mrs for making you make this video.

The fat band at 32:03 between the point and the flat does look bigger than 1/4” inch. Is it supposed to be thick there?
Any chance you could relink the Mercer 7”. I’m unable to find it.
By chance do you have any thing on your channel that talks about how you smoke your brisket then finish it in the oven? And if you do finish it in the oven how does that impact the bark?
Not yet but will be included in my “how to smoke a brisket video” that I plan on dropping this month 😊

Is there a practical reason for the round sections or is it just esthetics for the final product?
Square edged burn and dry out. Round edges reduce the impact of direct airflow.
Thank you misses meat n greet.
