To fix the all star game, count all shots as 2s. This will shorten the spread of the court and make players think twice about taking a long distance two.
This doesn’t fix anything because they don’t care about the game, that’s the issue. That’s why I didn’t understand Chris point about the 3 point attempts. The 3s are just a by product of the minimum effort the guys are putting into the game
Dear Wildes, Love the show Here's how you fix the allstar game : Make it a pickup game The top vote getters are the captains and select their starting 5 and the next vote getters select theirs until the last tem with 4 players From then on it is a last man standing contest of 4 twelve minute quarters: The first two teams face eachother and the loser is eliminated and so on until the last team which is going to select its fith player from the eliminated players. That way the clock is restarted and the score too and you have also created urgency to make them compete harder Love, Dawn Sr
it’s the evolution of the 3pt shot. i would think it would be good to go back in evolution when there’s no 3pt line. If all regular shots are counted only as 2 pts (except for FTs) then the “game” can leverage defense again to win.
The game needs to decide home court advantage in the finals, offer a huge trophy, give the MVP an automatic roster spot on next year's game where he has a crazy theatrical entrance like an MMA figh. Make a production out of it like he's handing the throne off to the next guy. Give him a bunch of money and spotlight/donate to the charity of his choice. Give the coaches incentive as well.
no that's stupid in baseball and it would be stupid in basketball too it's one of the worst ideas i've ever heard and can't believe one professional league was already dumb and desperate enough to do it
I love it. It would be the best game in history. Maybe Scottie Barnes won't try because his team isn't anywhere near the playoffs, but any player on a contender is giving their all. The west has been better almsot every year since Jordan left, the schedules aren't fair anyway.
Does no one remember the 2020 game? Maybe not because the pandemic came directly after, but that game was great. They were playing for charity, in a shortened game format, and they actually tried particularly at the end of the game. I haven't heard a single analyst mention it, but it felt like that was the answer.
Was looking for someone else to say this. That was definitely the answer. I just rewatched it and players were blocking shots, taking charges, and scrambling on defense. It makes no sense why they don’t just do that again.
Brou and Nick are both right. Two different angles but both have very clearly impacted the reverence, respect, and seriousness with which both players and the media viewed All Star Weekend.

@tacoman4731 I mever said anyone "got hurt"....can u read? I said if I have a chance at a chip I'm not risking injury over a game that doesn't matter....and the players agree with that...I'm not risking injuries and my change at a chip for random humans
@@gsquadgaming878 Players risk injury when they play in the Olympics yet they take that seriously, and by your logic it doesn't effect their chance at a championship.
I think a huge problem with the all star game, and regular season games in general, is that we never know what time the actual game starts. The nba does not care about our time. The all star game started almost 45 minutes after the scheduled time with all the pre game BS they do.
Move the 3pt line further back. The risk of the 3pt is no longer as risky to be in the 80’s, early 90s or early 2000’s. The NBA is averaging nearly 36 3pt attempts a game, and the highest 3-pt% makes at .367. Make it 25’. Put the risk back in the 3pt shot.

As a fan of the nba since middle school, I don’t understand the obsession with a Literal “exhibition” game during the break for the players. And also I’m surprised Brou, Wildes, or Nick didn’t touch on if you ramp up intensity for a exhibition game that is supposed to just glorify and reward the efforts of the players in the first half of the season, what happens when someone gets hurt trying to play hard in this meaningless game???
Good perspective from Brou. Never thought of it that way. However it should be much more competitive. Maybe they should pay the players, or some kind of incentive for the winning team
Wonder what a scoring zone (distance cap) would look like. Too far back you can't score. Forces players into a defendable zone while still allowing for the 3pt shot.
Just put a stipulation on the ASG that gives Either conference an Advantage. For example which conference wins the all star game will have home court advantage in finals
Ring talk only became the de-facto measuring stick when players started forming super-teams and trying to be buddies with everyone to come join them. Instead of players representing their teams/cities, they instead became bigger than the name in front of the jersey.
US vs The World would be awesome. The home court advantage take affects more for basketball than baseball so there would be a lot push back on that too.
Broussard's criticism of the home court advantage didn't make sense, because both teams have players that are going to be in the playoffs. I would definitely play harder if I knew that winning guaranteed my conference home court in the finals.
The best part of allstar weekend for me was trying to explain to my wife that Nikola Jokic is considered by most the best player in the league today😂! For evidence I offered all of the accolades he’s garnered which she refuted with what he looked like on the court on Sunday😂😂😂😂. I told her he is virtually unstoppable on offense and she said how!!! He can’t even run or jump😂. I had no further defense and had to rest my case. I then mentioned that Luka Doncic is probably the 5th best player in the league today and she pretty much doubted everything I’ve ever told her about basketball😂😂😂😂. Way to go NBA!!!
I admit to being a fan of the Warriors' run, but, the 3 point line "experiment" has gone full circle, has been abused and is ruining the game. Every play is either a 3 point attempt or wide open layup. It's time to make scoring harder. It's time to eliminate the 3 point line.
for the all star game, winning team members will get 5 coach's challenge back to their team, which can be used at any time including the playoffs. change the 3 point reward for points inside the paint, 2 pts for anything inside the 3 point line, and 1 point for anything outside the 3 point line(effectively killing the reward for deep shots). Also, every 2 steals/blocks that leads to a turnover removes a point from the other teams score.
Hear me out. To fix the all star game make it only half court like black top. Forces players to interact more and actually guard when it’s not just outlet passes and crazy threes being jacked up. Just a thought.

This doesn’t fix anything because they don’t care about the game, that’s the issue. That’s why I didn’t understand Chris point about the 3 point attempts. The 3s are just a by product of the minimum effort the guys are putting into the game
@@cheerioss-9121 facts, guys would still just want to flex how far they can make it from

Ring talk has ruined basketball
Absolutely, when old heads decided that MJ was the goat and it was all about catching him in rings, everything else died.
Some sort of cultural problem for sure.
So those 168 threes took has nothing to do with it huh 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Basically the MJ vs Lebron debate killed basketball
@@Tonio5100 nah, watching dame pull up from half court was pretty exciting.
Dear Wildes, Love the show
Here's how you fix the allstar game : Make it a pickup game
The top vote getters are the captains and select their starting 5 and the next vote getters select theirs until the last tem with 4 players
From then on it is a last man standing contest of 4 twelve minute quarters: The first two teams face eachother and the loser is eliminated and so on until the last team which is going to select its fith player from the eliminated players.
That way the clock is restarted and the score too and you have also created urgency to make them compete harder
Love, Dawn Sr
Hoang Bi was a pioneer
it’s the evolution of the 3pt shot. i would think it would be good to go back in evolution when there’s no 3pt line. If all regular shots are counted only as 2 pts (except for FTs) then the “game” can leverage defense again to win.
They should do a 3v3 or 2v2 all-star tournament where the 4 leading vote getters pick there teams from the remaining all stars
I like this
The game needs to decide home court advantage in the finals, offer a huge trophy, give the MVP an automatic roster spot on next year's game where he has a crazy theatrical entrance like an MMA figh. Make a production out of it like he's handing the throne off to the next guy. Give him a bunch of money and spotlight/donate to the charity of his choice. Give the coaches incentive as well.
Finally NBA... I'm good on Mahomes content for the next 8 months lol
well get used to Lebron talk for the next 5months!
@Jaydoggie1 😂😂😂 bro hopefully they'll be eliminated from the playoffs
Mahomes is the GOAT QB get used to it!
Don't worry anytime a player mentions KC Nick will have to have 10 min to talk " bulletin board material"

I actually like Nicks home court advantage in the finals idea the guys who really believe they have a chance will go for it.
way too much of a prize for one game when we have an 82 game season.
@@WopJryeah but people hardly take the regular season seriously with the load management lol you have to bring some importance to the ASG
no that's stupid in baseball and it would be stupid in basketball too
it's one of the worst ideas i've ever heard and can't believe one professional league was already dumb and desperate enough to do it
@@DrShwazz nobody is load managing anymore
I love it. It would be the best game in history. Maybe Scottie Barnes won't try because his team isn't anywhere near the playoffs, but any player on a contender is giving their all. The west has been better almsot every year since Jordan left, the schedules aren't fair anyway.
As much as I loved football season I can’t wait to hear my favorite show get all into the NBA season

make the all-star break longer so they're actually fresh the time the game comes around
its the player mentality today vs yesterday... these guys don't have to so they don't
Yeah, but I suspect they only competed because Kobe died.
@@neutral_narr true, but when you've got the kids from your charity right there on the sideline that's gotta be some motivation too
Remove 3 pt line for all star game
Brou and Nick are both right. Two different angles but both have very clearly impacted the reverence, respect, and seriousness with which both players and the media viewed All Star Weekend.
Nick blames the rings because his boy didn’t get enough to catch MJ or Kobe 😂😂😂
Exactly the only reason nick saying that
If you love the game, it doesn’t matter if your tired. I used to play basketball in jeans in 95 degree weather in Puerto Rico during school
Here's what kills me. None of them wanna be there or play the game, yet if they don't make the All-Star team they all get butthurt. Lmao
Now they’re all talking that talk no bias conversation and refreshing topics
The all star game where they had the points goals was lit. I think it was the year after Kobe died.
Wtf did they go away from that?!

I’ve always viewed the all star game as an event for the kids and I bet you all the kids watching enjoyed the game
If I had a shot at winning the chip why wpuld I risk injury right before the final stretch til the playoffs?
Just likke u could risk injury every other time u play? Thats no excuse
@theoneaboveall8001 every other game they play in the regular season actually counts tho so ur point is invalid...all star game literally doesn't count for anything so why risk an injury when u have a shot at a title for a game that doesn't matter
@@gsquadgaming878 They try harder in practices than all star games and rarely get injured. Even when the players tried in the 80s and 90s I don't think anyone got hurt. You're making excuses for players who make 10s of millions a year and get 4-5 months off
@tacoman4731 I mever said anyone "got hurt"....can u read?
They'll need to make the courts larger, in order to create a significant change to the 3 point arc line... ain't gonna happen, sadly.
Take away the 3pt line. And the international game is a great idea.
I got it..... the winning conference teams...get an extra $10 million in cap space for the following season ...
Brousard said Luka was disgusted .the man took a 75 foot shot for no reason at all. He was the disgusting one! I feel the same way Wildes feel. Thanks for speaking up.

3 on 3 half-court tourney. 12 second shot clock, 1s only.
Wildes “ughhh i liked it when it was linear mario brothers” LMAOOOO
Here's an interesting idea: Make the game half court with playground rules.
Nick Wright is on point.
Y'all (First Football First) ignored the NBA until after Superbowl. You've been an NFL news machine since Fall 2023, and not a multisport show like previous years.
Own that.
Greatest suggestion Nick has ever made
Make players get a bonus depending on all star game rating
Great idea from Chris, international Vs Local players for all-star weekend. That is more competitve.
They need an incentive to play defense. Like an extra $50k in your opponent stays under 115 pts.
make it like the old celebrity mtv game with 4 and 6 and 10 pointers, multiple rim tiers, ext. take advantage of the scoring
post the full episode with video
A lot of great takes and ideas here
Nick's mind is on another level. I like the idea of homecourt for Finals - atleast for the Game 1.
2018 was the last best & last All-Stars. Since, players preserve their bodies for the season.
Don’t sleep on that 2020 All-Star Game
Honestly, I would love a Big 3 type tournament.
Thank you Brou the international team idea is exactly what I said
Good perspective from Brou. Never thought of it that way. However it should be much more competitive. Maybe they should pay the players, or some kind of incentive for the winning team
Wonder what a scoring zone (distance cap) would look like. Too far back you can't score. Forces players into a defendable zone while still allowing for the 3pt shot.
Wilde's was cooking in this segment
Just put a stipulation on the ASG that gives Either conference an Advantage.
For example which conference wins the all star game will have home court advantage in finals
Nick, everyone is entitled to their preferences and who they think is the best.
Ring talk only became the de-facto measuring stick when players started forming super-teams and trying to be buddies with everyone to come join them. Instead of players representing their teams/cities, they instead became bigger than the name in front of the jersey.
US vs The World would be awesome. The home court advantage take affects more for basketball than baseball so there would be a lot push back on that too.
nah that is dumb, world doesnt have enough allstar level players
Wilde is the only one who seems to get it: this is bigger than one game. It’s an issue that affects the entire league
I’ve never watched this show. Now I have to start
Tell him nick! He was fired up . Good on ya nick
Hear me out. To fix the all star game make it only half court like black top.
Forces players to interact more and actually guard when it’s not just outlet passes and crazy threes being jacked up.
Just a thought.
