The Celtics clutch stats since the All-Star break [5:30] are very misleading. Their only close wins were 122-119 vs Milwaukee and 117-107 vs Phoenix. They had four losses, to Cleveland, Denver, and Atlanta twice. Meanwhile they had 13 blowouts by 12 or more points. Between small sample size and selective exclusion of data, the stats are pretty irrelevant.

Lots of talk surrounding the Celtics, a team that has been to 4 ECFs and 1 finals within the last 5 years and who’s best player is 26. Get real. Name me a player besides D Wade that won a title before 26 as the undisputed best player on a title team. This is ridiculous. 28 other teams outside of Denver would swap places in a heartbeat.

Adrian Griffin had their offense looking like a joke lol, and Dame has been playing pretty well, and improving.
Actually their offense got worse since Doc took over. Look at advanced stats for the team to see offensive/defensive rating. Defense improved a bit, which really was a player issue, from an effort standpoint. After all, they had one of their best defensive games against the Celtics, under Griffin.

If this problem is continuously happening for multiple years with a different cast then it's on coaching and star players. Endgame execution isn't executing to the point that the Hawks are beating you consecutively then the Celtics have a problem.
The idea that just because something has been around for a long time that we should live with it is always weird to me. Change is the natural progression of things, and I think first seeds getting to pick their matchup would also make the regular season better because teams with championship or playoff goals would actually try to get the first seed.

No the finals should be like 5 game series to start and you have 1 v 4 2 v 3 5 v 8 and 6 v 7 the loser of 5-8 games is eliminated the winner plays the loser of the 1-4 games in a 5 game series while the winner of the 1-4 games get to rest and play the winner of those games in 7 game series.. This gets you more good games and gives you a second chance opportunity for finishing in the top 4.. WAYYYY better and they should make this change soon.

The 76ers are being punished by going against Boston in the 1st round when in reality they were probably set to be the 2 or 3 seed this year.
