My most favourite part of this anthem was ANG MAMATAY NG DAHIL SA IYO( TO DIE FOR YOU) It has the most patriotic verses. That is why it is very important that you have stop and stand straight and sing it with your hand in your heart(if the Philippine flag is around).

Yes that is correct and if I may add, IT SHOULD BE DONE WITH FERVOR, and it is written in R.A. 8491 Section 38:
SECTION 38. When the National Anthem is played at a public gathering, whether by a band or by singing or both, or reproduced by any means, the attending public shall sing the anthem. The singing must be done with fervor.
As a sign of respect, all persons shall stand at attention and face the Philippine flag, if there is one displayed, and if there is none, they shall face the band or the conductor. At the first note, all persons shall execute a salute by placing their right palms over their left chests. Those in military, scouting, citizen’s military training and security guard uniforms shall give the salute prescribed by their regulations. The salute shall be completed upon the last note of the anthem.

The literal english translation of the Tagalog Lupang Hinirang (not meant to be sung) 😊
    Beloved country,
    Pearl of the Orient,
The burning [fervour] of the heart
In your chest is ever alive.
    Chosen Land,
You are the cradle of the brave,
    To the conquerors
    You shall never be oppressed.
Through the seas and through the mountains,
Through the air and through your azure skies,
There is splendour in the poem
    And song for freedom beloved.
    The sparkle of your flag,
Is a victory that is shining.
The Star[s] and Sun of it
    Forever shall never dim.
Land of the sun, of glory, and [of] love,
    Life is heaven in your embrace;
It is our joy if there will be oppressors,
    To die for you.

@@zaldyv3406 Yung English version na nakita sa video is rough translation from the original Spanish. Ang pagkakaalam ko, after ma-establish yung Third Philippine Republic, yung National Anthem natin remains to be sung in Spanish. Kase nga, after maupo ni Quezon, pumutok yung WW II, so parang di "raw" yata natuloy na isalin from Spanish to English yung National Anthem. to time, offices (may not happen all the time, but it can still be possible). Everytime you hear the beat of the national anthem from afar, it is a must for us Filipino to put the palm of her hand on our hearts to commemorate the sacrifices that were acted by our national heroes. I stood up as soon as I heard our national anthem hahaha so yeah watching ate Lucy and kuya George's video while I'm on my feet hahaha.
Also, this might be the reason why almost Filipinos are good in singing lol, the notes are high😂

In elementary and high school we have flag ceremony before school starts in the morning, that is how we learn how to sing it. We didn't do it in college, but if you heard it, you have to stop and show your sign of respect.

They also play in all government agencies every Monday morning to start the week. School play this everyday too! I got teary-eyed when i heard the Filipino version and whispered for God to Bless my Motherland. ❤️ Lucy and George, when this is played usually in public, everyone pauses and stands in attention until the end. (Filipinos would put their right hand over their left higher breastbone or chest and sing w fervor) This is to pay respect to the flag. (If one carries-on walking and talking would get “the stare”) 😂
