      Considering that you had a hard time pronoun the word "nagniningning" which means shining or shimmering, you might want to do a reaction/comparison video of "Bituing Walang Ningning" sung by Ms. Sarah Geronimo and by its original singer Ms. Sharon Cuneta. 😊😊😊

    The literal english translation of the Tagalog Lupang Hinirang (not meant to be sung) 😊
    Beloved country,
    Pearl of the Orient,
    The burning [fervour] of the heart
    In your chest is ever alive.
    Chosen Land,
    You are the cradle of the brave,
    To the conquerors
    You shall never be oppressed.
    Through the seas and through the mountains,
    Through the air and through your azure skies,
    There is splendour in the poem
    And song for freedom beloved.
    The sparkle of your flag,
    Is a victory that is shining.
    The Star[s] and Sun of it
    Forever shall never dim.
    Land of the sun, of glory, and [of] love,
    Life is heaven in your embrace;
    It is our joy if there will be oppressors,
    To die for you.

    Hi, Ovela. Some suggestions: don't separate the pronunciation of the n from the g in words like "langit." It is not "lan-git" but say it like "lang-it." The phoneme "ng" is considered a single separate letter in Tagalog, Pilipino, and Filipino (these are spelling systems). be aware that these are different from the Spanish and English spelling systems (orthography).
    "Nagniningning" is pronounced as "nag-ni-ning-ning." Its root word is ningning (noun: shine, glow. or sheen). The prefix "nag+ni" converts it to the present participle (shining or glowing) and it is used as an adjective.

    The tagalog/Filipino version has FULL CONVICTION. It feel so poweful and different. There's PUNCH to it. If you study Filipino you'll really be able to FEEL every lines most especially the last line. At the very end of the song we see "Ang Mamatay nang dahil sa'yo" you can translate it in way you want in English but me as a Filipino ALWAYS turn to that. One loose transltion would be "do die for you". But there's no weight to it. Many heroes had sacrified their lives for our Liberty. And as I see the ugly happening in our country I feel so ashame. I felt so sorry for them but they are surely proud to those who is doing the right thing. NOW we are at PANDEMIC, NEW HEROES has risen and let us DEDICATE this song for them,. especially to those who suffered and died. We are just so dedicated. Medical workers ang given less yet their dedication to answering the call of duty is beyond work.
    By the way, we are so strick to our national anthem that you cannot change the notes. You may put it on a higher tone but not change it. Look at the American national anthem. I am so confused which is which. Is it a national anthem or an RNB song? It has beautiful lyrics but some singers stains it by doing so.

    FACT: PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN IN SPANISH. SPANISH LANGUAGE HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MAJOR LANGUAGE OF THE PH. TILL THE AMERICAN ARRIVE, WHERE THEY TRIED TO ERASE SPANISH HERITAGE FROM OUR COUNTRY, BUT UP TO THESE DAYS WE KEPT SPANISH CULTURE IN MAJORITY LIKE IN FIESTAS FOOD ETC. WE'RE LIKE THE LONG LOST BROTHER OF LATIN AMERICA. WE ALSO DO HAVE OUR OWN VARIANT OF SPANISH WHICH RETAINS THE OLD WAY OF PRONOUNCING ARCHAIC SPANISH WORD, AND WE HAVE A SPANISH CREOLE CALLED "CHAVACANO" THE ONLY SPANISH CREOLE IN ASIA.

    It has a deep english meaning, while the spanish version i only got pieces of it, se habla espanyol porque poquito... The words cannot exactly be translated, as how Honorable it is in Tagalog Language... When the True Meaning is extracted upon your Heart, you'll have goosebumps and maybe a teary eye... Its just Glory beyond compare... Hope it Awakens My Brothers...

    Hi Ovela, just a tip with "ng" pronunciation.
    When you encounter "ng" in a filipino word, you pronounce it like the "ng" in the word "dang".
    Example:
    Pangilinan = pa-ngi-li-nan
    Pangalan = pa-nga-lan
    You only make a sound "g" , like the "g" in the word "goat" if "ng" is followed by another "g".
    Example:
    Panggatong (fire wood) = pang-ga-tong
    So the word NAGNININGNING is syllabicate as
    Nag-ni-ning-ning
    Hope this helps.
    Keep safe always.

      Thats the original. It was translated in English during the Commonwealth period. Then it was translated into Tagalog in 1958. Currently, we have a law that prohibits the singing of the Spanish and English versions in public obviously to prevent confusion and disunity.

    I love the part when you place you're hands on the left side of your chest. That's what our position is (filipinos) when we hear the National Anthem. So touched of your reaction. The way you sing it though the filipino version is really hard (tongue twister level), you still manage to follow and try to pronounce the proper pronunciation and sing it with all of your heart and that's what matter is.
