Keto Witch So you can't go through a whole night without eating? That is odd. You probably should increase your fat content. You have to get off of carbs. Take an actual quality electrolyte/ mineral supplement. Increase your fasting window in very small increments every week or so.

I've been battling chronic fatigue for my entire adult life (30M). I'm in ridiculous shape, I eat healthy but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I tried everything. Eventually, I decided to start taking Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate before bed. After a month of doing so, I feel well rested every single night. I am more productive at work. I am more confident, more assertive, generally in a better mood and just an overall greater pleasure to be around.
I think magnesium deficiency is what I was struggling with. I can't believe after all this time, I've finally identified the issue. Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming!

I started taking 340 mg of magnesium glycinate about two months ago for some harmless arrhythmias.
I recently noted that my BP is now consistently 110/70. I’ve always been a 125/85 guy and took 5 mg of lisinopril for many years.
I’ve since discontinued all meds and can only assume my lower BP is due the daily magnesium dose! Amazing.

As a mom living north of Detroit, I was originally interested in providing my sons with enough fiber to solve their problems with constipation. I planted Kurly Kale from seed behind my petunias in front of my house. I would pinch off the tiny flowers when they came, but was able to harvest kale 11 months of the year. They would die down in February and start up again from the roots in March. At dinner time, I would simply slip out my front door with my kitchen shears, shake the snow off the plant and cut what I wanted for our meal. I could easily "hide" torn bits of kale in any hot dish (mac & cheese, spaghetti, chili, etc.). The top leaves were always tender enough for my salads. My plants were 4 years old when I moved away from them. I never gave them a bit of care but they produced wonderfully anyway.

I've gone from months of Keto to carnivore just 5 weeks ago. Last week I started feeling my heart beating hard. I thought it was my blood pressure as I've stopped all my blood pressure meds but it was 117 / 73. It got worse over the next few days and caused me to not sleep last night. Laying down made the problem worse. This morning at 3:45am I woke and took a hot shower, in the shower I recalled seeing this video just the day before. "magnesium is critical for the heart" so on a hunch I went to the kitchen and dug out the magnesium supplement that I had purchased just a few weeks before. I wasn't taking it because the tablets were so big. I took two (the recommended daily dose) and before 5am I began to notice I was feeling better. My heart was not beating so weird and my mood became better. Now it's almost 8am and I feel great. I can't even feel my heart beating and my pressure is 110/69.. not bad for 60 and no medications what so ever.
    Magnesium.. you need it!

Magnesium solved my back problem! omg i had back spasms for ten years. i went to drs and ofc i was given drugs, i had adjustments, i did yoga, meditated. now the last two changed my life, but i still had this pain.. nothing worked. it finally became almost constant when my daughter got me some magnesium and made me take a lot... boom back pain gone in 6 hours! it has not returned. i had other related symptoms, joint pain, foot cramps, leg pain... all clearing up since i began the doses and i changed my diet to more raw veggies, leafy mixed greens giant salads, for dressing hummus, with olive oil and vinegar which are all good for you. cashews are rich in magnesium. less carbs and i'm aiming for less sugars too. i work 10 hr shifts, i'm very very active, in a busy deli, and i run circles around people. i feel awesome now!

Let me first thank you for this wonderful video! I learned so much from it. Allow me in this fortuitous moment to share something I read in one of Dr. Dean’s books about magnesium that caught my attention: “The biggest obstacle to magnesium is that most people think it’s too simple a solution. If you feel you have a serious condition, you may expect the treatment to be just as extreme, so with magnesium, its simplicity is its downfall”.

He’s attentive and asks me questions about what’s wrong with me, but he doesn’t offer information like you do. I feel like unless I ask the exact right question? @Jacob H Remember that M.D. does not stand for medical deity. Many people practically worship the M.D. Most M.D.s are only trained to write prescriptions - after all it is big pharma that funds to medical schools. Research how Rockefeller and friends started it all. They drummed out the naturopaths. And they are still working on that as they are now trying to get Homeopathic Remedies banned, as well as there has been a move to ban or limit Vitamins & Minerals. Why are we so apathetic about this?

Thanks so much for your no nonsense approach to good health. I want to suggest that the carnivore keto diet is effective in 5 ways from quality meat and a direct way from quality fat. From meat 2 ways: two amino acids are released by the catabolysing of ingested muscle. One is glycine, critical for nerve health and formation and glutamine, critical as a fuel and for regulation of nitrogen breakdown and excretion. With free L-glutamine circulating in the blood, the body stops catabolysing its native muscle. Glycine is essential for neuron health, our brain consists of glycerin in various forms made from glycine and cholesterols. No glycine and no fat (direct way fat is effective) is a no brainer. From meat 3rd way: meats supply B12. The myelin sheath cannot be made without it. Myelin being the insulator tissue around dendritic nerve. No myelin no impulse conduction. Fat also direct in myelin schwann cells which wrap around nerves to prevent short circuiting of electric pulses. Now to the point of WHY our body eats our lean muscle. 4th and 5th way meat promotes nerve and muscle health: Muscle tissue contains in proper ratio magnesium and calcium. These bivalent minerals activate myosin and actin, proteins responsible for contracting and relaxing muscle fibers in various sheaths and nerve bundles. bundles. The western diet is over the top with calcium thereby depleting and binding any magnesium (however minuscule) which might be available. EDTA preservative binds magnesium in canned foods whether meat or vegetables. It is added to prevent bacteria spoilage. Like bacteria we need magnesium for hundreds of enzyme functions. When we eat EDTA in any food it chelates magnesium. Tired?Blood cells cannot be made without magnesium and B12. Eat fresh, eat meat and eat fat. Be lean and well🥬🍗🐣🙏🏿

I’ve taken a magnesium supplement every night for at least ten years. It’s my understanding that it’s also good for muscle contractions and can be easily depleted in folks who work out hard and often.

Hi Doc! I had ulcerative colitis for yrs. my doc put me on all kinds of stuff trying to control it. I even tried two different big pharmas injectables. They were not working. So I got mad at my doc and researched myself about what to do. I came across a Japanese doctor video and they were trying a Zinc-L carnosine complex and a tri- magnesium mix. Well after a couple of weeks I was freaking cured. All the bleeding stopped and the running to the bathroom every couple minutes. I was to the point of seeing a surgeon to get my guts out. Now all I have to is keep taking the minerals. Simple. Today’s docs (not you) are hostage to the drug companies and not to getting you well. The shots I tried cost 12-13,000. I had to pay copay of 600-700 a month for crap that didn’t work. That’s flat out wrong. Do your own research if you want to get well. Love your talks and good information. ❤️👍🏻💪🏻🖖🏻🙋🏼‍♀️🐾🐾🐾

A bit hard for anyone with ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) who have a restrictive diet of usually high starch and high sugar foods through psychological issues, being repelled to the point of vomiting on anything else. I know someone who only eats hot chips. He avoids eating out with others because it's impossible. "Shut up and eat your greens" isn't going to help those people. Very few dietitians talk about ARFID or they pretend it isn't anything but a trivial preference or just stubbornness.

I started taking 400 mg of magnesium. Changed my life. Dropped by 20 points +. I’ve dropped 2 of my BP meds. I’m not suggesting this for others by any means, but it was for me after watching this. I never was a salad eater , but since going Keto and getting Healthier I found a way to incorporate them. Chop them up and add or mix them into pretty much anything I eat . Stir fry , eggs , if I have a different veg. some gets mixed it them :) If I tend to get slack , I will get leg cramps ... Also incorporate nuts daily . I've managed to get off 2 of my BP meds , but still on Metoprolol Succ ER . Have included some fasting in hope's to get off that one as well !!

Great stuff as always. I am getting lots of info on Keto and IF. I started about two weeks ago and am starting to feel a difference. Difference enough that when I cheated a bit over the weekend, I felt worse then ever. That in itself was enough to get me back on the wagon quick. Think about doing a video on what a balanced meal would be...doing two a day would be my preference. I I.F. from 8pm to noon. I have never liked breakfast, and found doing that very easy. I do worry (imagine others do) that I am not in balance yet with my eating...both nutrition, amounts and type.

I Am currently on a hypertensive med, have had extremely tense muscles for years. Been on a recent natural change. Also suffer from anxiety & depression.
A friend put me onto a magnesium supplement. Again like you not one for specific brands. I also started taking blackseed oil supplements & also 5HTP. Only been on the magnesium for about 3 days and my tight muscles are virtually gone. My depression/anxiety is gone(took the 5HTP for about 3 months and I've never been better). Blackseed as i have read up on is an extremely good antioxidant.
