    Bought a charles daly ar12s semi-auto before Thanksgiving and shot it on turkey day and shot buckshot , and 3 inch magnums and after 50 rounds of high brass , then shot 50 rounds of low brass and not the first hiccup with this gun, rural king had it on sale for 326 dollars and wished I would have bought 2 very fun to shoot. Great Video

      That’s excellent! I haven’t seen a Charles Daly around here, but $326 is a great price! I paid $499 for this one

    Keep the bolt locked back when not in use , it helps loosen the spring some , the grease they pack it in is thick so break it down as much as you can and clean and oil it well , be prepared to run at least 100 rounds before it breaks in , also pay close attention to how your shells stack up in the magazine so the brass doesn’t hang up on the next round , everyone thinks the sights are on backwards but if you look where the windage and elevation marks are you will see they are facing you , use blue lock tight on the fore arm set screws ,

      My sights were on backwards. I spun them around before this video.
      I sold this thing- was fairly reliable with certain ammo, but not comfortable enough or light enough for home defense and sucked to shoot a lot as a toy.

    bought this gun and put 200 rounds of 1500v #4 and #2 the first 100 rounds were pretty terrible with jams, but after 200 rounds, Incredible! this gun will shoot low-velocity rounds like it's nobody's business!

    I have pretty much the same Turkish made shotgun called “centurion optio-iii xii” it’s useful for the price $289

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, and the fact it has a different name is part of the problem with Turkish shotguns… if one brand doesn’t do well, they just change the name and one feature, and resell them, and no one can search for the new one and see if it has any issues.

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It had more recoil than I expected- functions more like a blow back than a gas piston semi.

  • @wmwm2194
    @wmwm2194 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's a gas system. The "weight" you are referring to is your gas piston..

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you have to clean it 100% then start scientifically with what will work in your gun
      mine likes 1200 fps federal target loads (Red box walmart and top gun blue box) and medium velocity slugs and buckshot.
      Try some, record what works, and only shoot those in it.
      I was a little disappointed in this gun after I shot it a lot, and ended up selling mine. Bought a Stoeger Over under, and a Tri-star raptor 20 gauge to replace it.

    Looks almost exactly same as my turkish made Panzer AR12. My guess, they are made by same company under two sub company names. Paid $289 plus tax, & FFL fees.

    I have feeding issues with mine. No matter what the ammo size or brand. A bit disappointing

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to make sure the correct weight is in it, mine only had issues with high velocity over 1400 fps because the bolt would outrun the magazine spring, so when the runs would strip off the mag, the bolt is moving too fast and would jam the round into the feeding ramp. 1200 fps federal birdshot ram 100% in mine, but Winchester was too slow, and higher velocity was hit or miss. I sold mine

      @@crankygunreviewsI want to buy my first gun/shotgun, and I'm considering this shotgun since it's affordable to me right now ($329) What necessarily is it that you don't like about it? What do you recommend, what should I consider before I buy a weapon? Want it for protection home protection.

    • @crankygunreviews

      I would not recommend this for home defense shotgun. Too cheaply built, too heavy, and not reliable enough IMO. Get a pump shotgun for home defense. Mossberg 500 or Maverick 88 are way more reliable.

    I've had a citadel boss 25 it's been the biggest waste of money to date bought it in May of 2021 wish I never bought it I have a semi auto tristar basic hunting style shotgun I put a thumb whole stock on it and that gun shoots any ammo I put in it sense day 1 the boss 25 to me is a pos and sadly I own one when you buy a new gun in my mind it should shoot what ever you put in it just like my tristar and old remington 1100

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the jury is still out on mine. I don’t think it’s the biggest waste of money, it shoots 1200 FPS birdshot 100% reliably so far, maybe I can try sporting clays with it as a novelty. I’m not sure if I’ll keep mine or trade it in for a loss… still deciding…
