  • I was pretty happy overall, a few buckshot rounds the crimp caught when loading into the chamber, but surprising it ran a whole box of 7 1/2 birdshot without a hiccup.

      I did a real easy setup- we have 4” pipes sunk in the ground at our range for 2x4’s- I use a 1/2” carriage bolt bolted through a small block Chevy valve spring, and into a piece of unit strut. The uni strut goes in the pipe in the ground, and the steering plate pivots on the spring so it has some give in it. Uni strut is pretty strong, al long as I don’t hit it directly. I think it should last a while.

      Both- It wasn’t broken in yet, if you shoot high velocity ammo, put the heavy buffer weight in, or the bolt will outrun the magazine springs and the round will jam when feeding. Mine ran really good on federal field 1200 FPS birdshot, and about 60% on buckshot and slugs. I sold mine cause the recoil is punishing

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mine wasn’t a high brass versus low brass issue/ the higher velocities were causing the bolt to outrun the magazine spring. I put about 150 rounds through mine, it was much better but the high velocity stuff would make the bolt outrun the magazine springs and it would jam. I never tried the heavier counter weights. I ended up selling it because the recoil was punishing- it would have been too much for a self defense shotgun for me, and I couldn’t adjust the length of pull which was a bit too long for a self defense gun too,

      I admit all the time I flinch. I also admit I am not a professional shooter or a marksman. BUt hey, I put myself out here for guys like you to have something to complain about.
      The straight stock on this has a lot more felt recoil than a standard shotgun, and it makes shooting it awkward. I can shoot a single shot 12 gauge with a hard buttpad, which has more recoil than this just fine because the stock has some angle built into it. Why don't you go buy one, make a video with it to correct my inadequacies? I can shoot shotguns all day when they are set up correctly. this is a heavy awkward beast, and the recoil impulse sucked, I did not enjoy shooting it after 2 or 3 range trips so I sold it and moved on. Because I don't think the quality of my video or my gun handling skills would be worth wasting people's time. I can't juggle....so guess what? I'm not going to make a "juggling" video. That's why, makes sense, right? The difference between you and me and most everyone else is I'm aware of my limitations, so I don't pretend they don't exist and post videos that harm the reputation of a firearm, you do. @@crankygunreviews

      Wasn’t junk, just because it’s not a brand name. I got it to run very consistently on Federal Target loads and mild buckshot, I sold it though because the recoil was brutal

      @@drewblack7142 I did a couple subsequent videos explaining what I got to work, and why mine jammed. Basically high velocity rounds of you don’t put the heavy recoil weight in will no side the bolt to outrun the magazine springs, so the round jam going into the chamber due to them not being in the chamber before the bolt closes. That was the only issue I had- 1200 fps bird shot (federal) ran 100% and most light slugs and buckshot (1350 fps) ran 100% too.
      Semi’s without adjustable gas systems can be problematic in general. The function of this was more of a blowback even though it has a “gas system”
