    Hi everyone. I have this shotgun too. I'd like to mention to you that the barrel nut on these shotguns are usually loose and need tightening. I've watched a couple of your videos and If you've already mentioned this then please excuse me. It would appear (based off of many videos I've seen on YT) that the shotgun is heavily lubed for overseas shipping and one needs to dissemble, clean, reassemble and tighten said components of the shotgun before first shooting. There are several instructional videos on how to disassemble/reassemble the Boss-25 on YT. I didn't know any of this and I shot 20 rounds through mine and when cleaning it afterwards I was shocked at how loose the barrel nut was. I don't have an armorers wrench but I was able to use an AR15 castle nut spanner wrench ( in kind of a jury rig way) to tighten the barrel nut. I think the factory needs to address this looseness issue before shipping them out or there should be a leaflet in the box to instruct users to check this before shooting.

      Mine was loose everywhere. I did-assembled, cleaned, lined, and assembled with decent torque before shooting mine. I had to tighten a few things up during shooting as well- chokes loosed first time out, and the barrel shroud /heat shield loosened up as well.

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to leave a choke in the barrel. If you take the choke out, you’ll rip the threads out of the barrel eventually. Use the cylinder bore “choke” for slugs. Cylinder bore is no choke- it’s basically a smooth bore barrel

      It should have come with a spare weight in the box- the heavier weight acts like a buffer to slow down the bolt with high velocity ammo. you have to pretty much strip the shotgun to change the weight though. If you use the light weight with the faster rounds, the bolt can outrun the magazine spring, and you will jam rounds into the action when they strip off the magazine. It seems these Turkish shotguns are hit or miss. Some swear by them as a great budget friendly alternative to the high end Italian guns and some are best used as a club. I often hear there is this unwritten rule that if you want a reliable semiauto shotgun, you have to spend nearly $1000 or more. I'd like to hope that's not true as my budget is somewhat limited and I can't go spending 4 digits on a firearm on a whim. in terms of home defense shotguns, the Mossberg 940 Tactical and the Beretta A300 Patrol are in the $900 range which is still pricey but not as bad as $1500 on a Beretta 1301 or $2000 on a Benelli M4. I bought one and my wife told me, why do you need a semi auto if you don't use it, I told her let's wait for someone to break to our home and you will see I will find use for it.

    god this thing jams literally every shot it seems like. first thing i thought was the ejector/extractor is total crap...which might be true. still, if this thing really jams that much, why the hell would anyone want it in the first place??? i seriously doubt someone is gonna use bird shot to take out a criminal busting into their house

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1) you never know what a gun will cycle that’s why you test it in the first place
      2) there is a break in period, and in that period you need to try different ammo
      3) one gun to the next (especially with cheap guns) can run different, therefore you need to test lots of ammo
      4) I am willing to bet thousands of people keep shotguns loaded with birdshot for home defense.
      This gun ran better with time, and with high velocity ammo it sometimes outran the magazine spring- you get two weights with the gun, and for high velocity ammo, you’re supposed to run the heavier weight. I did not. So the faster round would allow the bolt to go back, eject the shell, and start forward again faster then the magazine spring could push the next round up into the action- this would sometimes jam. It did get better with time, but I sold this thing because the recoil was brutal.
