Hello here. After a month having the oneplus 8t I could say that the phone is extremely fast, the screen is georgous, the camera is very good and a lot better than most of the TH-camrs are describing it. The battery is not that good but it could be from the 120hz and cause of the fact I am only using 4g in the last month. The iPhone has better camera for sure but it's not that better trust me. And I didn't even test the gcam on the 8t. But after a month of having it I noticed something very interesting. A friend of mine bought the iPhone 12 pro max and the first thing I noticed when I saw it is how laggy the experience feels. And the phone is not laggy for sure it could be the fastest phone on the market, but once you get comfortable with the 120 hz screen everything below 120 hz feels laggy and not just laggy but extremely laggy and slower. It could be the swiping in the home screen or swiping on the setting or net browsing, you notice it so hard that you are asking yourself is that really iPhone 12 pro max? The 120 hz is not a gimmick and is actually a deal breaker for me right now, coming from iPhone 11 to this phone I can say it's worth every penny.

Watching this on my new One Plus 8T + and I had a Note 9 and wanted to try the iPhone 12, only had it a day and returned it and now this. Display & the 120 refresh rate is so much better than the iPhone 12. I also had the battery dead, totally shutoff and this beast was fully charged in less than 20mins (no lie), best charging performance I've ever seen in any phone I've had. It's truly underrated

@@chauhannishith exactly. Every brand thay imports pays import duty. If there is no import duty there would be no incentive for companies to manufacture here. And apple didn't care about it because of such uninformed users who will blame everything on taxes and import duty. Literally everytime something is expensive it is *gst* 😂
To those people: get a life.
Apple also doesn't pass down all the cost benefits of price decrease because of new iphones and manufacturing phones in India.
      Look at this table(import duty = 22% GST =18% total ~40% markup)
      IPhone 12M ~ $699 x 1.4=$978 x 74 = 72,416 ~ ₹69,990 OK
      IPhone 12 ~ $799 x 1.4 = $1118 x 74 = 82,776 ~ ₹79,990 OK
      IPhone 12 pro ~ $999 x 1.4 = $1398 x 1,03,452 ~ ₹119,990 WTF?
      IPhone 12 pro max ~ $1099 x 1.4 = $1538 x 74 = ₹1,13,856 ~ ₹1, 29,990 WTF?
Even after 40% reasonable markup they further increased their profit margins through the roof and even when manufacturing Starts in India they will just decrease the price by 5-7k instead of 10-12k which should be decrease but then these people who were crying about gst would go gaga over that pesky decrease instead of blaming apple for exorbitant pricing in the first place.

Nice to see someone finally praising the OP8t's camera, everyone else wanna nitpick the cameras to hell and back, while the average YT watcher loves to be hyperbolic as all hell.
And if you do have the 8t, do yourself the favor and download the Gcam, itll make the 8t's sensors shine, and get rid a lot of the issues the stock cam app has such as the warm colors taken in nightscape in the stock app, and bring it to a much more neutral tone.

It takes AMAZING photos, totally surpassed my expectations. Video is OK too, but I don't shoot that many videos on my phone so I am not the best to judge this. I was really worried by all the discouraging tough criticism I saw in the reviews, but really, it is a great phone. • @edimist1

Excellent comparison. Another aspect to consider - longevity of the phones: I changed to the OnePlus brand 4 years ago.. I have a OnePlus 6 which is still going strong after 4 years since I bought it. No crashes, no lagging, no issues with the battery or performance. In short no real reason for spending 500-600$ for upgrading it yet. Before that I was changing phones every 2 years (android phones). The reason: the phones were getting slower due to the heavy SW updates.. The battery was getting weaker.. So the question to consider is ( if you do not want to be spending money on phones every 2 years): Which of the two do you think would last you most over time?

I did the same thing. I started off with a few different choices when I was doing research. Pixel 4a 5g, OnePlus 8, or the Huawei P30 (I think?). I ended up choosing the OnePlus because it outperforms flagships when techs run the phone through rigorous testing. Just the 8, though. Shortly after that I realized that the 8T was only $70 more and it comes with way better camera options and the display is 120Hz as opposed to 90Hz.
So, yeah. Long story short... This is the first time I'm getting a phone and it's not one of the "big" brand names. I've had HTCs (after they were good, unfortunately), budget Samsungs, budget Motorola, and an iPhone 4 or something like that, haha.
I finally get my hands on it this Thursday!

Man, I was an Apple fan boi for the past 5 years and the last phone I had was the XR. You know after the price hike and not having a charger in the box and it misses some essential features, I thought of going to the Android ecosystem and I always wanted a OnePlus smartphone as I have used it and its really good. I got the 8T and tbh 8T is a beast compared to the XR. You can't even compare the iPhone 12 and OnePlus 8t in India as there is a difference of around $500 and the best iOS phone to compare with the 8T is the 11 as it is priced around $150 more. The price will eventually go down next year mid June - July as they will start manufacturing 12 in India.

Taking inspiration from one of your past videos, for just about the same price of the 12, you could get for example an 8T and a new iPad 2020. So there's that. Cheers from an Apple addict :-)

The home made hardware of Apple products actually make a great difference when it comes to performance and quality.
In you video, the Iphone 12 had just 4GB RAM while the ONE Plus 8T had 8GB RAM and still, the IPhone 12 was faster that ONE Plus in many cases.
Imagine an IPhone 12 with 8GB RAM and you can be sure who will win hands down when it comes to performance.
The audio quality of Apple Music is a giant leap compared to any Android phone.
You can listen to any music streaming app in any Android phone as long as you like. Then try listening to the same music just once in an IPhone using Apple Music.
You'll feel the massive audio quality difference right away..!!
Thats why musicians(Am a musician too) prefer IPhones because IPhones have the best audio quality in the industry.
