I have the OnePlus 5. I just love this phone. It's been with me for 3 years and I'm sure it would last another year easily. OnePlus quality is really impressive.
I'm looking forward to the 8t- as soon as it comes this oneplus 6 in my hand will be wiped and rooted for the newest security patches. She'll be round 'till it aggravates me.

@@shivamkrishn nah, at night I'm not using the 65 watt charger. I'm just using a samsung normal usb c charger. I use the 65 watt just for like 15 min during the day as needed
The 8T has been a pleasant surprise for me. I never considered it originally and was using an S20 FE, but I lucked into a free 8T and started using it for fun not intending for it to replace the FE. But replace it it did, as I've found the 8T to be superior in every way except camera zoom capabilities (regular and ultrawide are only a bit worse, but on par to the FE when using a GCam mod). While I worry about the future of the phone due to the direction Oneplus is going as a company, I will stay with it for the time being.

I am lucky to own 8T @ 299$. Even after 2 years launch this works perfectly fine and I don't see any issue. Warp charge is amazing. Processor is super fast. Being a apple user it gives different feel in one plus. In terms of speed and functionality one plus had a edge over apple.
Yes I can't believe how quick it feels after 2 years. Faster than nearly every other flagship I've used. Incredible. Can't believe they've abandoned this approach. I will not be buying any of the newer models. Vivo are a much more interesting brand for me now.

AT&T is telling millions of their customers that their current phones won't be compatible after this month. So I have to dump my perfectly good Xiaomi phone that's less than two years old!)
I’ve been an iphone user for the last ten years or more, yesterday I ordered the 8T. I was going to get the 9 Pro but I wasn’t very interested in the curved screen... and I’m quite excited for the shift! I really enjoyed this video, one of the best I’ve seen. And trust me... Thank you so much for not bashing this phone's cameras. I have this phone in the United States with T-Mobile and it is probably the best phone I have ever had outside of a Galaxy note 9. this phone is premium and pristine for its price range. Hardly anybody mentions about the 12 gigs of RAM as well as the 256 gigs of 3.1 storage either
samsung's ui just blows. that and the lack of development did it for me. t-mo was basically giving s20 fe away for free, so i looked into it, but still have nightmares from the note i had with touchwiz lol
Watching and re-watching video comparisons of the 8T vs the Galaxy S20 FE (which is perhaps its nearest rival in specs and price range) i found the 8T's white balance if off, inferior (low bitrate/muffled/mono sounding) audio recording on video, poor dynamic range in Night Mode (main), zero Night Mode in selfie camera, micro jitters in video (all main cameras), least detailed portrait shots and darker selfies in low light. I know it was a mouthful but was i correct in my assessments? Have OnePlus fixed some of these issues? Or do they still persists?
I dipped my toes in the premium phone game when the xs max in 2018 and it's definitely something special but that could also just be my first ios device. Did well for the 2 years on and I recently switched to the OnePlus 7 pro just because at 445 new and no notch. It's a steal with a snap dragon 855, eight ram, 256 gig storage. I can't believe I spent 1,100 on a 64 gig device looking back on it. It's still a good back up phone.

There's a Gcam mod for sure, I have it on my OnePlus 8. It takes a little tinkering to get it working but not too much hassle to be fair. Although saying that, for general usage I don't feel like there's any real noticeable benefits from it for a casual user like myself. If that's your thing then yeh, sure you'll probably pick up on those subtle differences more than me.
I'm using Gcam on OnePlus 8t and it's absolutely fine and give the finest quality campair to others. OnePlus can do better in dynamic rang for photo quality later by software update patches.
@@kishorbhat I haven't found a GCam mod that properly works with Android 11. I mean the one I downloaded doesn't switch between lenses and crashes. The indoor pictures are way superior compared to the stock camera in most situations. I don't know what happened but after the OxygenOS 11 update the camera quality in indoor situations are terrible. It was terrific prior the update. Several bug fixes hasn't improved the camera quality. So, I need a working alternate. Talking about Oneplus 8 though.
I bought the 8T and am satisfied. Although I'm a bit disappointed that they don't stick to their old designs. I was so happy with my OnePlus One bamboo cover and would have wished they did the same on newer phones.. it made my old phone so special. Unfortunately it broke a few weeks ago but survived a proud 6 years timespan.

Camera is not that much when compared to iphone 11 if camera was your first choice choose iphone 11 bro if not one plus 8t is worth money for its display 65 watt charger 120hz display gaming experience etc
I recently bought the OnePlus 8t, the phone is absolutely amazing, the camera will give you good results if you are in a well lit environment, the selfie camera is actually no good anywhere, even in bright environments, if you are a camera person who cares a great deal about phone cameras, the pixel 5 is a better deal for you, nothing beats the pixel camera not even the iPhone in my opinion, but it has Snapdragon 765G in it so performance is a concern with the pixel 5, or if you can spend a little extra money go for the oneplus 8 pro which will give you a really really good camera! You should also take a look at the samsung S20 FE, which is in the same price range as the 8T and the pixel 5, The S20 FE is kind of in the middle of both of these phones meaning it has reasonably better performance than the pixel and a reasonably better camera than the 8T, but the phone looks extremely cheap, made out of ugly plastic!

See I think you're not someone who frequently upgrades their phone like every 1 year or 2, just like me so I would definitely recommend you to take your time watch more reviews about all the three phone ie: pixel 5, 8T, galaxy S20 FE! And these three phones only fall into the same price bracket in the United States, if you're not in that market, if you're in the European zone, then the OnePlus 8T is probably a better deal, I bought my OnePlus 8T for 620 USD (12GB) because that was the best deal around
8 Pro: curved QHD display, better camera, wireless charging, IP rating and more traditional OP design. 8T: cheaper, flat display, faster charging and more generic design. Curved displays are an absolute no go for me so I'm going for the 8T.
It depends on which features you personally prioritise. The 8T is missing the IP Water Rating but the build of the device is water resistant, it’s built to withstand water just like any other high-end phone, but it’s not officially certified to keep the price down. For me, I’m unlikely to drop my phone in water so it’s not a problem. You might be a sailor or someone that likes the chill by the pool, I don’t know ;) Wireless charging. If you currently use wireless charging with your other devises then you might want it on your phone also. If you don’t use it currently, then who cares? Wireless charging is slow. The 8T’s wired charging is so fast, a lot faster than the 8 Pros for sure. Quad HD screen, that’s what I miss the most. The 8T has a great FHD screen but I love playing videos in 4K. The 8 Pro has the nicer screen for sure with QHD. But the FHD screen on the 8T is really decent and supports HDR and 120HZ. Cameras will be slightly better on the 8PRO. The 8PRO is a also a huge phone so content will be better if you consume lots of video. 8T is easier to use one handed and nicer in the pocket. 8T is cheaper and better value and missing the above features. 8 Pro is PRO the best of the best. So the resolution can play content in HDR? You mention that you miss the high resolution but then right after said Netflix and TH-cam plays crispy HDR+ content. 2:43 mark. For me, if I’m getting this screen size, I need decent quality. I know there are qhd phones but this one seems nice. Hey Michael! What do u think bout the OnePlus 8 Pro? Is it worth buying it over the 8T? I like how 8T fits in hands and 8Pro is a bit uncomfortable to hold. But camera, Wireless Charging... IDK!
OnePlus 9 is coming so soon I would not bother with either 😉 the 8 Pro is better than the 8T in every way apart from the charging speeds are higher on the 8T

Me too! I'm on my 3T, and it's great! The only thing, is the camera bug, that broke the auto focus! T.T haha but the rest, is an incredible phone!

That's a tough one. I like the blue because it changes tone in the light and it very grippy in my opinion. But silver looks pretty stylish and modern!

Dude i randomly came up to this video but i love how u show my favorite phone ( just order the silver one hope i m nad mad i did not pick the green one) +1 subscriber :) If you can compare the 2 colors choice my main issue was i wanted 12 gb of ram and 256 memory and i ordered it from Spain hoping to have it by Xmas :D
I personally prefer the feel of the green one as the texture is actually different. But either way, a case usally goes on!

There's a Gcam mod for sure, I have it on my OnePlus 8. It takes a little tinkering to get it working but not too much hassle to be fair. Although saying that, for general usage I don't feel like there's any real noticeable benefits from it for a casual user like myself. If that's your thing then yeh, sure you'll probably pick up on those subtle differences more than me.

I'm using Gcam on OnePlus 8t and it's absolutely fine and give the finest quality campair to others.
OnePlus can do better in dynamic rang for photo quality later by software update patches.
@@kishorbhat I haven't found a GCam mod that properly works with Android 11. I mean the one I downloaded doesn't switch between lenses and crashes. The indoor pictures are way superior compared to the stock camera in most situations. I don't know what happened but after the OxygenOS 11 update the camera quality in indoor situations are terrible. It was terrific prior the update. Several bug fixes hasn't improved the camera quality. So, I need a working alternate. Talking about Oneplus 8 though.

I bought the 8T and am satisfied. Although I'm a bit disappointed that they don't stick to their old designs. I was so happy with my OnePlus One bamboo cover and would have wished they did the same on newer phones.. it made my old phone so special. Unfortunately it broke a few weeks ago but survived a proud 6 years timespan.

Honor 8 user and i am considering the 8T for upgrade. My only concern is the camera, will i be happy with the results?
I recently bought the OnePlus 8t, the phone is absolutely amazing, the camera will give you good results if you are in a well lit environment, the selfie camera is actually no good anywhere, even in bright environments, if you are a camera person who cares a great deal about phone cameras, the pixel 5 is a better deal for you, nothing beats the pixel camera not even the iPhone in my opinion, but it has Snapdragon 765G in it so performance is a concern with the pixel 5, or if you can spend a little extra money go for the oneplus 8 pro which will give you a really really good camera! You should also take a look at the samsung S20 FE, which is in the same price range as the 8T and the pixel 5, The S20 FE is kind of in the middle of both of these phones meaning it has reasonably better performance than the pixel and a reasonably better camera than the 8T, but the phone looks extremely cheap, made out of ugly plastic!

See I think you're not someone who frequently upgrades their phone like every 1 year or 2, just like me so I would definitely recommend you to take your time watch more reviews about all the three phone ie: pixel 5, 8T, galaxy S20 FE! And these three phones only fall into the same price bracket in the United States, if you're not in that market, if you're in the European zone, then the OnePlus 8T is probably a better deal, I bought my OnePlus 8T for 620 USD (12GB) because that was the best deal around

8 Pro: curved QHD display, better camera, wireless charging, IP rating and more traditional OP design.
8T: cheaper, flat display, faster charging and more generic design.
Curved displays are an absolute no go for me so I'm going for the 8T.

It depends on which features you personally prioritise.
The 8T is missing the IP Water Rating but the build of the device is water resistant, it’s built to withstand water just like any other high-end phone, but it’s not officially certified to keep the price down. For me, I’m unlikely to drop my phone in water so it’s not a problem. You might be a sailor or someone that likes the chill by the pool, I don’t know ;)
Wireless charging. If you currently use wireless charging with your other devises then you might want it on your phone also. If you don’t use it currently, then who cares? Wireless charging is slow. The 8T’s wired charging is so fast, a lot faster than the 8 Pros for sure.
Quad HD screen, that’s what I miss the most. The 8T has a great FHD screen but I love playing videos in 4K. The 8 Pro has the nicer screen for sure with QHD. But the FHD screen on the 8T is really decent and supports HDR and 120HZ.
Cameras will be slightly better on the 8PRO. The 8PRO is a also a huge phone so content will be better if you consume lots of video. 8T is easier to use one handed and nicer in the pocket.
8T is cheaper and better value and missing the above features. 8 Pro is PRO the best of the best.

So the resolution can play content in HDR? You mention that you miss the high resolution but then right after said Netflix and TH-cam plays crispy HDR+ content. 2:43 mark.

Hey, so HDR support has been recently added on the 8T for Netlfix and TH-cam through an update. The 1080P panel is very nice in my opinion.
