I love them both, and they are monster players, but Greg plays free stages at summer fest and Joe plays with clapton in london, which doesn't seem fair, given how similar and ridiculously talented they both are.

I don't remember what sparked my comment 2 years ago, but...Joe and Greg are both absolute monster players. They're even fairly similar, in that they play progressive blues-rock with the occasional country twang. They're shredders with soul. But it is odd that Joe plays Carnegie Hall with Clapton while Greg plays the Harley stage at Summerfest.

This isn't a 'true historic' at all. It has an Indian rosewood fretboard rather than a Brazilian rosewood one. It probably doesn't have an authentic truss-rod either, otherwise Gibson would say so. Personally I wouldn't trust Gibson to make a 'true historic'... I'd get a regular Custom Shop R8/9/0 and send it to Historic Makeovers in the US or Florian Jaeger in Germany to strip it back and re-build it authentically; the total cost may be slightly higher, but you'd be getting the real deal... and if you've got £6k to spend on a guitar, finding another £1500 or so shouldn't be a problem.

The pickup covers aren't correct. But you know what else isn't correct? Everything! Because it isn't real. If you want the real deal go buy a real 56. You might need to sell your cars as well because you probably aren't Slash or a periodontist.
