The new 2013 Historic Reissue Les Pauls are undeniably remarkable guitars. With a slighter darker finish and binding, as well as longer studs and inserts, this 1956 Les Paul Goldtop is as close to an original 1956 Les Paul as you can find!

My dream guitar. I love how the neck pickup even have some Fender-ish qualities. This is preferable over a Les Paul with humbuckers to me.
The BEST Les Paul EVER!! This is IT for me!
Played one of these through a Laney Lionheart amp this week, absolutely amazing tone.
3:55. That Koch riff..it's perfection!!....ya maniac! ;0)
Pure downhome stuff. Yeah it´s great!
The East/West guitar.
Loved the tone from 3.54!
Where's he gettin those badass shirts!?
Lansky
Love the playing, just pure awesome :)
Thanks Koch! Your a madman and i wish you were my teacher! best wishes!
I guess the amp is a Fender Deluxe but what about the overdrive ?? Sounds so smooth !
Got this guitar, great investment !
Nice!
I dig it as well
I've got 6 3034 with a fat neck and 8lb 3oz........liked the stock pups but whacked a pair of '52s in it...........the neck pup(either stock or '52) is far superior to a humbucker and the overall sound is better also imo..........what's not to like.
Overdrive is Fulltone OCD, they explain it on the Wildwood TH-cam profil... -_-'
Curious: is the P90 a "hurt your ears" kind of pickup, like Strat single coil pickups? I'm more of a mid-range guy and I love PAF's. Not sure if a 56 Les Paul would work for me, but I'm thinking about it.
I have the same taste in tone as you. I heard the Futura in the shop and it was wonderful. www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2014/Les-Paul-Futura.aspx

I've just heard the demo; not my kind of thing. Thanks for the thought anyway. It's good as a flexible guitar and you won't care if gets stolen or damaged at a gig.
For me, Gibson can stay in the 50's specs and concentrate on quality work and quality materials and I'll be very happy. I think I'm gonna get a '56 gloss and darkback. I imagine it sounds great with a Big Muff into a clean amp. That's the gear of choice for David Gilmour's barn jam from 2007, which sounds amazing. Not sure if a stock 56 can deliver that tone though, because modern Gibson P90s are not Lessona wound; I'll probably replace them by Seymour Duncan's P90s. Seems like a great guitar for slow blues.
i think guitar is great, but to play it trough that fender is a bit incorrect... it's a neck of bottle... also ocd fulltone work better with vintage marshall... at the end, that guitar isn't correctly used
+Silvio Di Lalla sounds good to me
Stick to the tele
