I thought crafting was an innate skill of gnomes. Funny how a homebrew rule becomes official as long as it comes from WotC. There has always been crafting in my games, no matter the system.
@kiillabytez I think it is an innate ability of a rock gnome, but for some reason crafting wasn't mentioned much in the core rules otherwise. Technically I think dwarves also had proficiency with stoneworking tools, but that also wasn't specific for whatever reason.
