This is so sweet and delicate. I’m always amazed at how you use your tiny brushes. You always get the right amount of paint and it’s never too wet. Just always the perfect ratio! That’s the challenge for me!
Harriet, thank you for this tutorial! I painted this the other day and was so pleased with how it turned out-tho my bees need a little work😁. You are a good teacher. Thank you.
Harriet, I am so taken by your ever-positive comments and your encouraging remarks as to how to go about this work. It seems so enjoyable, relaxed, and satisfying. Thank you for your carefully planned presentation here and in each one.
Well I’ve learnt a lot about the true shape and anatomy of bees. Yours look so realistic, I’m definitely going to try this one and hope I can improve on my previous version of bees. A lovely painting. Thanks.
I loved this! You make it look easy, but I know it isn’t. The delicate hawthorn flowers are so beautiful and when you put the shading in, what a difference it made! Thank you!
When I saw the "ad" for this video, I thought, "Oh, it's going to be one of those sickly sweet paintings," as I often see in others' tutorials here on YT. I was delightfully surprised at how beautifully and carefully the flowers and bees were rendered. Not saccharin at all. Lovely and seasonal. Thank you!
Love this! Exploring Patreon too! FYI I’m a beekeeper so appreciate the honeybees. From Virginia! FYI bees are different from Flys by having two pairs of wings!!
What a beautiful painting again. Love the tiny flowers, love the honeybees..love the painting. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. You are such a great artist. Already waiting for the next tutorial. I think I'll give this one a try🤞
Thank you for another beautiful addition to my "must - try - this" list. Loving the smoothing background music and your commentary. Your cheerful voice certainly reflects the joy of creating these beauties. Thank you for the videos.
Thank you so much for your tutorials Harriet. I love learning watercolour painting from you. Your style is beautiful. This was lovely to create alongside you :)
Omg! Your painting are delicate and beautiful ❤️ you make it look like they would be so easy to paint. I truly believe you have to have the patience of a saint to do that type of watercolor. I hope to get there one day as for now I have no patience so I watch thank you for sharing you beautiful art with us
Beautiful Harriet! I love your pace. I’m not as patient as you are but I know I have to slow down. Thanks much for sharing the link to the video on serrated leaf edges. I’ve watched several of your videos and somehow didn’t see a link to your book until that video. I’ll definitely be getting my copy of your book soon. Thanks for all you do. Blessings to you!
This is absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you so much for the tutorial! Im so glad I found your channel! I'm going to try to do a tutorial everyday, hopefully that will break my fear of failure. Thank you again!!
I'm sorry to be a doubting Thomas, Harriet, but are you sure that your beautiful blossom is hawthorn (also known as May blossom)? It's a little on the early side for hawthorn to flower, even if you do live in the milder south west. I think it looks more like blossom belonging to the prunus family (see images of prunus domesticus). Also, your beautifully painted leaves are single and oval but hawthorn leaves (although roughly oval in shape) are lobed into three segments and quite profuse. Anyway - whatever it is, it's really lovely and, as always, your beautiful painting more than does it justice.
@@caroleb725 Oh, Lordy...me again. Do you not think that the bark on the stems/twigs is far too light to be blackthorn - and the stems have'nt got the sharp, spiny thorns on them either.
I love all of your video! Thanks so much for this one. I was wondering if have ever done one with a pink and white dogwood blossom? I have a beautiful grafted tree in my yard and have no clue where to start. Thanks again!
How did you remove the pencil marks under the petals from the branch? Art eraser or covering with paint? I have trouble with this so please make a video showing when you do it. Thanks, Dar
Reminds me of being fragile absolutely beautiful
Another fine tutelage by a terrific paper company! Thanks very much!

I think the blossom is blackthorn, also known as sloe. The fruits are too hard and bitter to eat but make very good sloe gin.

@@elizabethnicholson6691 Yes, you're right. There should be spines. Perhaps Bird cherry (prunes padus) but the leaves usually develop sooner.
@@caroleb725 Bird Cherry much more likely. 👍😊
Lovely
Thank you!
Wow 😍
absolutely beautiful! as always

There is a pink dogwood tutorial on my channel
That's so lovely ,I just enjoyed your video really nice. Can't wait to get started. Thanks a lot for your sharing. Bye:-)
Thanks so much! 😊
Stunning 🤩. How did you manage to erase your pencil marks from under the watercolour petals?
Hi Chris, I've done a video all about this th-cam.com/video/ZEU07SmeMO8/w-d-xo.html
How do you rub out the pencil? Putty or eraser? I didn't know you could do it after you painted.
How did you remove the pencil marks under the petals from the branch? Art eraser or covering with paint? I have trouble with this so please make a video showing when you do it. Thanks, Dar
Eraser!
