A couple things I would possibly change. Instead of using Velcro to attach the lights to the center bin, I'd use something like 1" x 1" boards to crate a U shaped bracket under the center of the bin. This would add more support under the bin, plus you don't have reach under it to undo the Velcro. I'd also probably use between 1/8 to 1/4" epoxy resin to line the bottom of the center bin (if it'd adhere to the bin itself) with a small drain either in the center or off to one side of the bin connected to a rubber hose (maybe with a shut off valve) so that way you can drain the center bin and not have to remove it at all. I'd also look at possibly adding LED's to either the perimeter of the edges or an insert of some sort in the center front part of the bar (or both)

Good morning and I hope you are having a great start to your Thursday! Thanks for checking out the projects. You can get the plans for free by entering a 0 in the box. There is the option to donate, but the majority of folks get them for free using that method which is mentioned in the instructions on that page. Enjoy the build and have a great weekend!

Great video!! Thanks a lot. I am attempting my second concrete project tomorrow. You have probably been the biggest inspiration for that. I vigorously approve of your choice of whiskey as well. ... Oh, while I thinking that I actually have a question as well- in a previous video you put things like glass and send into a concrete top. You wet sanded it down to get an amazing look. I was wondering, if I don't have access to a wet sander, what other options do I have? Thanks!

Hey Mark! Haha, yeah love the Oban and Macallan. As for random glass etc, to get a perfectly flush finish you will need some sort of a diamond pad. The wet polisher shoots water out to keep the pad cool and has the gfci for safety. I have seen folks adapt a dry polisher so it will hold the 5 inch pads and then have a hose near by. Without a gfci though it's a bit of a safety hazard. Completely dry polishing is a mess and leaves marks in my experience. I've embedded things like sliced agate th-cam.com/video/7xqG08jkXA4/w-d-xo.html and have got that flush with a normal sander. But if you are doing random glass then you'll want to wet polish. (normal sanding won't get things flush) I was hesitant at first about the $200 investment amzn.to/29Rihuy, but I've used it so much and been able to make a ton of furniture at my house and it's been well worth it and paid many times over for the investment. You might look at trying to rent or borrow though if you only plan on doing a couple projects. As it is a lot of money just to do a project or two. Let me know if that helps!

Wax your forms first with johnsons floor wax before you caulk and you can just let the caulk dry after you tool it then peel out the excess. Much faster.

Helps to have some friends to help lift haha! Actually this ones not too bad with the knockouts and since it is a smaller piece, but concrete is certainly a heavy material. Cheers!

1 question. Ive dyed my concrete black. When i fill in the air pocket voids do i have to dye the slurry cement too or will it just all blend when i wet polish it?
Thank you for the great video!

You'll want to dye the slurry to help it blend :)
