The 2 blend together so well (the same theme after all) it's hard to hear one over the other, but the one thing I can hear throughout is the old-school RSE trumpets

I transferred my team from emerald, beat every generations champion, challenging the Contest Halls of both Hoenn and Sinnoh achieving all gold symbols and medals of the Battle Frontier and battle the PWT, just to trade them back and fight the champion of their native region and earn the time travelers award. What an achievement. Wouldn't you agree.

My thoughts on some of the new Character designs:
Steven- He looks pretty cute! ^.^
Wally- OMG! He's SO ADORABLE! =D
Maxie- Lookin' cool and calm.
Archie- He kinda looks like my uncle, which is a good thing and he looks badass.
Zinnia- A new favorite character of mine. I love her black and red eyes and the Mega Anklet was a nice touch. ^.^
Brendan and May-The protagonists always look awesome, especially in remakes!
That's pretty much it. There are more which I would like to list but I think I'm good for now.

I remember the first time I fought Steven. I was kinda... stupid back then. Since I had gotten beat by the Elite Four so many times, I was really scared of the final member of the Elite Four. I was entirely unaware that there was a champion. What I had done was gotten my two ace Pokemon to LV 100 (Heracross & Kadabra) before I even attempted it again. I can honestly say I had fun tearing Steven apart with a stag beetle.
12 years on and his tie is still the wrong way around.

When I first played HG/SS, I had no idea Steven was gonna be there. I hadn't gotten to post-game until after I had beaten Omega Ruby, Ruby and Emerald. Man, seeing him was amazing!

Unlike most people, I first heard the ORAS/RSE Champion theme through Pokemon XD: Gales of Darkness...
**sigh** Oh the memories... When I actually got to the champion in ORAS when I first heard this, something felt wrong. Took much longer to realize that RSE Champion Theme was reused in XD.

RSE Original > ORAS remake, by far. Simplicity is what made Pokemon so unique from all the other creature fighting games; and when it comes to music/themes, game freak's simplistic style fit perfectly for the older games. I tend to question a lot of their music they've developed for the last few newer games. It seems like their lack in simplicity is concerning.... In both music and Pokemon design.

People are treating Steven's team in OR/AS as if it is godlike or the strongest team ever made. It is hard, but not impossible to beat (same goes for Cynthia's team). I guess it depends what kind of team you have because I wrecked his whole team with my Mega Swampert...
One of the hardest (in my opinion) was Cynthia. I love Pokemon Platinum

Actually, the tempo of the newer one is slower than the old one.
even the first part? it sounds so much faster... THEN THEY DID IT WRONG! stevens theme had to be faster and the boss theme had to keep its old tempo
