This model is known for having really stiff elevon joints. You need to loosen them up to get them working right. Some people drag a straight edge down the joint, some try to use a razor and cut through half way, etc.. Once they are loosened up, they work a lot better. You could still do that no problem and it will be easier on your servos. It's a nice very inexpensive model for some slower LOS flight or FPV flight. I have one, and then got the smaller version too. They'll even fly on 2S just fine. Nice review!

cover the spars top and bottom with fibre tape one layer of 50mm wide tape, then cover whole plane in coloured packaging tape to whatever pattern you choose.
this will take some of the flex out of it if not most of it. This will only add a small amount of weight and just a prop change should take care of it. them motor upgrade and so it goes. keep them coming great chanel. Plenty of info on line on how to tape up properly.

thanks for posting. suggest you replace the flexy orange slow-flyer prop, with an apc electric pusher. then the model will have a a linear rpm to thrust curve and more thrust overall. cheers

you should check out the lc racing line of cars 1/14 scale. gr8 electronics and motor and aluminum in all the right places from nitrorcx (u .s distributor) they are about 170 bucks rtr with battery and charger they have an mt, sc, racing buggy, a dune buggy and a rally car

I am writing a review of this plane. Essentially, just use the foam, add two 2mm carbon fiber rods along the bottom, 9g servos, and a more compelling motor. It won't flex and it's a hell of a lot of fun. I'll post a link when I'm done.
