When teaching my son to ride his bicycle there was 1 pole on the playground.... he went straight into it... 😂 When teaching my grandson to ride his bicycle there was 1 tree in the field, he went straight into it 😂😂 There must be a physics principle to describe this phenomenon. ie (if an object is cared for or valued in any amount it will always seek the path of most destruction). I for 1 am surprised that you didn't hit both poles.... 😂😅👏👏 I should have instructed them both to try really hard to hit the pole.

The extreme low temperatures will cause the battery to go down much faster than expected. And then when you check the voltage it will show a higher voltage than when its under load in the cold. I fly in the cold a lot and figured this out. What is with these dancing wing planes, they seem to require more fiddling than Dynams, lol
Great filming Captain Blaz. Plane fly's pretty good Pilot Robert I would get a new cowl as well as changing out the esc as this baby looks and fly's great.

That little model needs a lot of rudder to fly correctly. The adverse yaw from just the ailerons will make you think something is not right. Use less ailerons and more rudder in the turns. Start the turn with rudder, then add ailerons. You will see a big difference. Check your throws as well. Seems you have excessive elevator throw Robert. Awesome little Tiggie!!!! I wish they had a kit of this, not the arf!

C of g too far back . When in the steep turns the tail is much lower than the nose. What a lovely country you have! Cant wait for the next flight. As the actress said to the bishop, keep it up lads.
From the video I would say that if the CG can be as it was after repair, then a small amount of extra downthrust is all this will need. The squashing together of all the electronics clearly is suspect. 🤔A lovely little Tiger Moth, well worth saving. Big salute from London.
What a great looking little Moth. It reminds me of the yellow Dynam Tiger Moth you reviewed a long time ago; that was a superior little foam biplane! I expect this one will also fly beautifully once it's repaired, the thrust angle is corrected and you find the proper G Spot. As always, the FUN you two have with RC airplanes is infectious and keeps me coming back to this channel.
Maybe it was too cold for the battery? They can’t deliver the power when they are cold, the voltage just drops when you use the throttle, and then it jumps back when you turn it off. Perhaps that’s why you reached the battery cutoff limit so quickly.
3 months ago i did a ton of lipo battery temperature lookings. Basically Normal temps are 32 degrees (LOWEST!) Up to 80. ANY temps below 32 degrees, you lose 15-20% of the battery, every day it sits. (Like precharging the day or 2 b4). When in the plane, it goes to 25%! ALWAYS check your packs b4 getting it in the air! Even the smart packs are the SAME way. Ive used chinese packs too. Spektrum packs are on the lower end, but nothing escapes the cold! 👍 Hopefully, this will help you.
The Tigermoth has so much wing that it will have no choice but to lift the front, easy to diagnose as being tail heavy, until you drop the throttle. It has serious ballooning when throttle is applied, forcing it close to stall in level flight. This in turn makes you use a lot of rudder in the turns to keep it from tip stalling. I think you are right, first thing to do is add down thrust to the motor, a couple washers in the x mount and it should be good. More nose weight will help it stay out of the stall in the turns as well. Other then that it is a beautiful little bird. Cheers to you both, and Happy Holidays gents 👍

Same here...I've seen 3 videos of this plane and all complain about the CG and none of them looked like they flew good. I'll pass on this plane and too bad as she looks good but apparently doesn't fly as good as she looks! 🤔
Captain Blaz, please, did you glue the wings together, or you just tucked them on the tubes? Are the struts and threads sufficient to hold the wings without gluing? Note: In the datasheet there is nothing mentioned about wings gluing, but I decided to glue them to the fuselage, because after the first landing the wings came loose about ten mm. I used the hot glue outside only, to be able to disassembly them in the future.
I never could get mine to get off the ground. I sold it this past summer. It was a great looking plane. Yours looks great in the air. Merry Christmas guys!
You had trimmed in lots of down because it was tail heavy. When you lost power the down trim took over. Change the thrust line of the motor and put lead in the nose.............
CG on a Tiger Moth should be where the rear of the cabane (the N shaped struts) bolts to the upper wing, i.e. at the back of the upper wing fuel tank. Bad luck, I look forward to seeing it fly again soon once you have repaired it. If CG is indeed correct than maybe some down thrust needed.
Capt Robert, sometime the book cg is wrong. The airplane looked like it was very pitch sensitive. The witness of the over rotation on the first takeoff attempt. Did it require nose down trim? I heard you cranking in a lot of trim. The tiger moth has a stepped and swept back wing. This makes it very difficult to calculate the cg. I suggest more weight in the nose. Also, swap out the weak speed control and use a better receiver. Good luck with the repairs and I hope to see it in the air soon.
Sorry to see the ending - its a nice looking model - and looked great when it was behaving itself. Those cg stickers do look far back. I have the E flite grasshopper and these tiny light models have very little penetration.
I think the cg was ok. When the ESC dies it went nose down right away. I think the thrust is the issue as you have stated. I hate those types of failures. They are so helpless feeling.
I was so excited to see the maiden flight of this plane. It is a very pretty model, unfortunately it didn’t fly very well. I believe the assembly was according to the instructions, the fault is in the design. Balsa may fly better than foam, but foam is easier to repair.
I cannot agree more ... 'it looks perfect in the air' .. and made from wood it has this real plane vibe to it .. having said that when Graham dropped the burning cigar in his lap and consequently wrapped his Moth around the pole (no pun intented) . my feeling was quite different as to a foam version 😓🔔
Maybe it's to cold for the battery did you check the temperature range on the battery I have some batteries that will not work below 30f they act dead tell the temperature is 35 f
Bwoahhh that’s a shame. It’s really good looking but DWH needs to give a hint to the motor angle as like this…..it’s not flyable for most people who are not so skilled as you guys. But it is a pretty plane even the broken cowling is still sexi. Now I’m curious how the flight with that crazy twin 50mm Messerschmidt has been, on the first attempt I kept it flying but it was crazy horse. On the landing it tipped over to one side with a little damage but nothing bad. It’s a tough cookie and better have a little space for some speed on landing.
I saw CPT Blaz fly a Taube and he said it was the 2nd worst plane he has flown noting the FMS Pitts was the worst.I now feel vindicated because my FMS V2 Pitts is the worst plane I have ever flown.I salute to CPT Blaz .Merry Xmas.

Pilot Robert, Did the motor stop? it looked like that the plane stalled when the nose piched up and had a close to the ground stall
Pity about the cowling, maybe make a new one from balsa? Which would add a bit of nose weight
Maybe battery lost some change because of to cold there if it has a bad cell. Or it didn’t have a full charge who knows. 🤔
