Glad this makes sense. There is only three videos in the series as these things are super easy to build (once you've figured out where all the parts go!). Best of luck with the build and let me know if anything isn't clear..
Hi Thank you for the start of another great series. Looking forward to the walk through of the setup. Thank for being clear and informative with all your videos.
In the early days of FPV, I built and flew a variety of wings in which the RC receivers were just hardwired to the servos (no flight controller). But after more recent experience with quads, I am wondering if current builds of wings now use flight controllers for actively controlling pitch and roll rates based on RC input (rather than hardwiring). I imagine hand launching might be a lot easier with a FC. Also, roll and pitch rates would tend to be less dependent on airspeed. Thoughts?
All of my videos are carefully organised into playlists and every video has a number of text tags on them to make them easy to find if you use a search. This video should help and explains a few tips for finding the video or playlist you're looking for - th-cam.com/video/CIuUNdVfBJQ/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/P4soR6QgOk0/w-d-xo.html. Happy flying!
I'm coming from fpv quads and am about to start building my first wing. I've never used a servo in my life, is the checker vital? Is it possible to find the mid point without it?
+discord2000 it's not absolutely necessary, when you fire everything up your will quickly see if the servo horn is correctly installed. If you're getting into any kind of fixed wing, then things like a servo checker are worth investing in. Best of luck
How do I mix my Aleron and elevator on flysky i6s transmitter, im building my first wing and I’m only using the flysky fs2a 4 channel ppm rx Two Kpower p0025 servos 2.5grams each 2s 8520 brushed motor with a gearbox ring and pinion that turns a 5 inch propeller Hobbypower 10amp brushed motor esc 2s 610mah hubsan h502s lipo “ brushed motor and gearbox/propeller system also came from the hubsan h502s drone “ , my only problem is how do I mix the servos together so I can fly the wing properly , the flysky Fs2a receiver is 4 Channel so I it can operate my esc and the 2 servos and I still have an extra Channel left over , thanks a lot
Hi Lee, love your videos and articles in RCME they are a massive help and inspiring. I have a few questions that I can't find a definitive answers to. 1) Regarding joining together the two parts of a EPP wing is original gorilla glue any good? 2) I have a Teksumo kit, many mod videos recommend moving RX, and battery to on top of the wing to avoid damage when landing / crashing. 3) I have a glow engine Acrowot, can I use a 2s LiFE battery to power RX & servos without a BEC? Thanks Garry
Hi! 1) EPP will stick well with hot glue, I use Gorilla 5 min epoxy here for those parts that I need very strong joints on. 2)You can, I've never done it as the crashes I have tend to impact the leading edges/winglets and nose.. 3) Check on the voltage range on the receiver and servos in the model, if they can cope with the pack voltage range then they will be fine.. Hope that helps.
How are u doing. I have a wing. Just bought an s6r but couldn't find any info on setting up the wing with it and how to set the radio for it to work could u please help with this.thank u
Painless360 i watch all three videos here .. cant find ..i see you finish it ..im sorry english not main language ..can you tell me what kind of glue ... thnx for responding
I've just ordered another three of them. I'll be using them in a few glue-and-go models coming in later in July.. You can Google XMR to find them or they are on Banggood too.. Best of luck!
HI PERHAPS YOU CAN HELP - I HAVE A GT90, RUNNING ON 350MAH GET 2 MINS OUT OF IT AND IT FALLS OUT THE SKY UPGRADED TO 500MAH turn and still get 2 min im dumb founded as everyone else gets 4 min on a 350mah is something sucking all my power ?
hi changed batteries to turnigy 500mah running an xm+ dhot 600 - makes no diff with original multi setup and old ac800 checked wiring i m outdoors and not even full throttle disapointing seen as this is my 2nd - first one i managed to burn out the FET's under usb
I've not had that model but something sounds off. I'd check that there are no shorts, bad connections or nothing touching the carbon parts of the frame. Best of luck!

Perfect timing, was just looking at buying a wing, its like you are in my head
Great build project, we all enjoy inexpensive great flying builds, excellent videos, very informative...looking forward to more.
Next one out later today! :D
Thank you again for doing a video for us beginners I have always wanted to try a wing soon I will be able to build my own.

Thanks for the comment, let me know if I miss something out.. Happy flying!
For any Flysky users out there, you'll want the servos on channels 1 and 2; throttle on channel 3.
Very nice, I WANT ONE NOW
Yes!!!! I was wanting to build a wing. Thanks
Awesome video, thanks
It's the best wing to start flying, Awesome, thank you for the video :):):)
It's very tame for a wing with the setup I'm using. I've linked to a far more powerful setup in the description if you want to go fast! :D

I'm guessing you are not a regular viewer. Check out my INAV for beginners series for why all my planes have a n FC now... Happy flying!
@@Painless360 Nice. This is exactly what I was looking for! Do you happen remember which video covers PID tuning?

+Wade Stewart no problem. Happy flying! :)
Great, thanks!
thank You !!!!!!
Please add the battery and canopy links in the description.
The canopy is part of the model. Links for the battery and receiver added to the description! :D
How do you hook up a fpv camera
