My previous bike was a 2006 Hayabusa. It was a Monster of a bike (I've had several bikes before- Virago 750, Kawasaki 550, and for may years, a Yamaha Virago 750 ). My current bike is a Kawasaki 2016 ZX14R SE. It's a total MONSTER. Seriously, the way it pulls from 80mph to 140mph is un-freaking-believable. I have to say this again - un-freaking-believable. When people see my jacket or helmet, and ask me what bike I ride, I say that I don't ride a "bike". I explain to them that I have a saddle on Godzilla - and I do the best I can to hang on...

That's what this thing does! It's so smooth, nonchalant, almost bored, that you just find yourself doing a buck 50 making a simple pass on the highway. It doesn't ever change its disposition. It's super gentle and then you're going 175. And the faster it goes, the more stable it feels, like it's been waiting on you to use a little gas. I dont know, you're right, you need to have the ability to control yourself with this thing. Up to you.

Lol...mine to. Thats a perfect analysis..its like it wants to roll at 120 as if its 45....my Suzuki was so twitchy that it was a whole different animal compared to the zx...I can't wait till I'm on pch north on this bike.

The 12R was like that, you think you're doing 70, look at the clocks and see 120. That's the beauty of them though; not necessarily the outright acceleration from 0 but how fast it picks up and how it behaves while it's already going fast.

Bro! Awesome job on the rebuild.
A few weeks ago I (we) drove from eastern PA to the far end of Massachusetts to pick up a 2008 ZX14.
    Rode it home.
Very comfortable ride. I was impressed.
It was a very nice experience and I only got fatigued after 4 hours.
    Love that bike.
It just wants to go fast. Like stupid fast. 90 feels like 40. It’s an awesome bike with an insane throttle response.
Keep the damn bike and be responsible with it.
I went out of my way to find one.
Sell your VFR and keep this.
    Just remember.... less is more.
    Cheers!

With the work and dedication you gave to it......worth keeping. I did all the restoring on my 84' VF 700 F Interceptor with my son. I won't sell it. I had the same bike in the late 80's in 750, so buying the 700 brought back all the coolness. I was looking for a VFR 1200 for a while and found a beauty last August and had to have it.

This bike is superb for quickly touring vast places like Australia, or even the Great Plains of North America-where you have empty and long straight roads with lots of wind.
I rode it for about 8000 mi/13000 km; it was incredibly comfortable, solidly planted on the highway, and with so much effortless passing power. I wish Kawasaki updated it by changing the dashboard, full-LED lighting, and corner ABS.

The Zed, Zed R is one sweet motorcycle and it does handle better than a bike of its size, only ever use full power and traction control one even in the rain the throttle connection is so good enjoy it will put a smile on your face. I've loved every episode and yes they are a pain to work on.

Awesome bike and great rebuild! I do have a 2013 VFR 1200 F and I absolutely love it. ABS, traction control, linked brakes, perfect mirrors, ridiculous power and torque and it is fast. Planted at any speed, especially into the triple digits. I also have a nicely restored 84' VF 700 F. I love that bike as well, but it is raw and does not leave a lot of room for error. I am much more confident on the 1200 because of the features on it. Ride safe brother!

Congrats on the successful completion of the ZX 14. One question. What do you think of the weight of the bike like moving it around in the garage and so forth. Great comfy bike. Makes 100mph+ feel like 30mph.
Great for crossing countries and continents with ease.
But still really flickable in the twisties.
I think I might pick a black one up as my next ride.
Thanks for the video sir, I have to agree with all your points on this bike. By the way I used to own and love a pre 98VTEC VFR, so I guess my question is should I buy a ZX14 as an only bike? I've had a VFR1200FD (173hp, EU spec) for the past season, great bike but I felt like I need a little bit more, especially at the low range, so I've sold it and looking for a ZX14R for the upcoming season.
You can get yourself in trouble even on a 50cc if you're doing weird things and vice versa, can ride a 200hp hyperbike with no issues if you know what are you doing.

hey herorr, can u make a video about power commander vs ecu tune? cuz i feel like ecu tune can do ignition and other stuff than pc, but seems like most track rider uses pc... confused... Thanks!

I really want you try out the GEN5 vfr, the 98-99. I think you will love it. the VTEC VFR is nice, but the one without is a straight up muscle car. You dont need to wait till 7k rpm to feel "speed" you feel it from the first twist of the throttle.

I like the well balanced thought out ergonomics of the entire instrument cluster Hero; also like your honesty as a vlogger which is honorable and needed in today’s living.
Praise Yeshua forever! I like you content, thanks.

Best thing about zx14r … you can keep it in 6th gear and ride from 25-mph to 186-mph … zx14r holds its lane when passing semi trucks … no need to downshift from 6th gear to pass cars … when you keep it stock … it’s relatively quiet and doesn’t attack too much attention … it’s very comfortable … brakes are very good … 80+ in the rain (low power / level 3) seems as stable as riding in dry weather … easy to clean the chain and remove front/rear tires … there’s really no reason to change stock configuration if you’re just doing street riding … easy to do u-turns on 20-ft street (just go to move your wrists out the way) … has safety Full Power / Level 3 or Level 2 so you don’t have to worry about tire coming up or rear wheel breaking traction … just peg the throttle and hold on … take off from light … quick shift from 1 to 6 at 40-mph and quietly sneak away from traffic … no one will notice you quietly accelerated to 100-mph … only thing I can say is always wear full protection from head, to jacket (rated AAA) , to pants (rated AAA) to gloves to shoes.

I what category that bike fit in? Coud I considered a sport touring bike? I have a 2018 CBR1000RR and I love it but I don't have too much space plus in long distance the wrist hurts. So I am looking for a second bike for my stable.

Nice mate, I enjoyed the build and the bike is awesome, sounds great too. In your position I would just sell it. I mean you're probably never going to use the full powerband, same story with every other 1000cc supersport. I agree with what you mentioned, a great deal of the community is obsessed over HP numbers and general power. Looking forward to a next project tho 👀

Go for a overnight tour on it, you will see that it is brilliant as well. Throw a tank bag on the front and a bag on the back, use the inbuilt strap retractable clamps and you have ample space for your gear.
