What a wonderful in time project that you actually did years ago! Perfect timing for the upcoming end of year holidays and birthdays. Thank you for sharing
Just watched this again and it remains a great tutorial for a quick table runner. Thanks for this excellent tutorial! I made one for Halloween last year and now I'm starting one for the 4th of July. A lot of fun!
I enjoyed your video. I love your tip on finding the middle of the fabric for pressing and the suggestion for sewing in the ditch. This table runner is now on my list of sewing projects. Thank you.
This is a great project....4 seams and a little pressing and you are done! Thankyou so much for posting this....I also look forward to hearing more about that cutter....thanks again!
Thank you for this lesson and demonstration. The table runners are pretty and looks easier to make on a serger. I’m going to try this for my holiday table runners. Thank you again.
Hi Terrry I have been following quite a few of your projects here in Perth Australia! I really enjoy your clear, directions and demonstrations of step by step cutting and sewing. Your tips and very, clear, loud and good filming is a big plus. You seem a very disciplined, careful and excellent sewer and teacher. Thanks you so much and if I come back to the States again in the future I will come to South Dekota (one of my destinations to visit) and visit you at your lovely, shop. Take care and keep posting. Well done Terry. Regards Fiona
Dear Terry no worries, I gave the table runner as a gift to a friend for house warming and she just loved it. I matched it with your ...Mum's Apron and it was a big, success. All the best and keep up the video tutorials. Fiona
Just want to thank you for your wonderful Videos. They are so concise and easy to follow. I live in Texas and that is little ways from you. So your web site is so needed and important. Keep up the good work, we need you! Jeannine Ryan
Really enjoyed this tutorial - - it's simple and ends up looking pretty. A great project for my new serger and just in time for fall and Halloween, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Thank you for this tutorial! I don't have a serger but I used my regular sewing machine and made up the cutest table runner in no time at all. I'll be making more of these for sure.
this is so easy to follow. i do not have a surger. but i have a sewing machine that is also an embroidery machine. i love this video i think i will be doing this soon.
Yes, we are still open and the cutter is still available. Our website crashed and we are hoping to have it back up soon. You can call and place an order at 605-347-2235
Laura Cobb, for the center you will need two 14 inch pieces, for the piping four 2 inch pieces, and two 35 inch pieces for the back. They are all width of fabric and will need to be sewn end to end creating one continuous length. Glad you like the video.
Do you sell the rotary cutter you are using? Looks as though it would be helpful for those of us with arthritis. If you don't sell them, could you please post a link to buy one?

Rotary palm cutter. Here is a link to check them out. www.junctionfabric.com/shop/Notions/p/Rotary-Palm-Cutter-x9591429.htm
AWESOME.
Thanks!
I am Loving the tan valentine fabric. Anything Close to that available? TIA.
Not that I know of.
Is your shop still in business? Is the cutter available for sale? Wonderful runner!
Yes, we are still open and the cutter is still available. Our website crashed and we are hoping to have it back up soon. You can call and place an order at 605-347-2235
Could you add batting, at least to the middle piece, for more stability if you wanted to?
Yes, that is an option.
Just found this tutorial. Cannot wait to try it. If I were to add batting, would I just leave a side open and slide the final size/shape batting in?
I would add the batting before closing off the ends of the project.
That cutter is amazing what’s the name of it tryed the other thing Almost cut my finger
Here is the link to check the cutter out. It is our own design. Here is the link www.junctionfabric.com/shop/Notions/p/Rotary-Palm-Cutter-x9591429.htm

I love your iron! What kind is it?
Oliso is the brand and we do plan on offering them through our website JunctionFabric.com when the shipment comes in. Thank you for watching.
How do u tack it down so it doesn't flip on you?
How about a runner with batting please?
how long are the table runners
This is wonderful and I love the fabric!!! Great of you to share! Do you have the fabric for sale?
+SparkoiseCrafts Call us at 605-347-2235 and we can help you over the phone.
Love this. I was going to make placemats for Halloween but I am running out of time. Can this be made without a serger?
+Karen Ross Yes, you will still want to sew the point with your regular sewing machine.
I have made four of them. They are really cute with the halloween fabrics.
Can you straight stitch if you don't own a serger?
Absolutely.
very pretty
I just love this!
What is the hand held cutter you are using?
It is our own design. Here is a link to check them out. www.junctionfabric.com/shop/Notions/p/Rotary-Palm-Cutter-x9591429.htm

www.junctionfabric.com/shop/Notions/p/Oliso-Smartiron-TG1100-x10484395.htm
where did you find an iron like that or is that the ironing board that raises the iron off of the cover
This is an Oliso brand iron. You can see it on our website here: www.junctionfabric.com/shop/c/p/Oliso-Smartiron-TG1100-x10484395.htm
So if you want to add batting what size would you cut it?
Batting doesn't change the size. Just ct it to fit.
Thank you lovely, but how would I finish runner without pointed ends?
I would tuck the raw edge in and top stitch it.
Do you sell the rotary cutter you are using? Looks as though it would be helpful for those of us with arthritis. If you don't sell them, could you please post a link to buy one?
We have a patent on the cutter and in the process of having them manufactured. We will keep you posted when it becomes available.
