Thank you so much for giving 'real' measurements. I have seen this table runner in so many videos and it was always inches that I have no relation to and re-calculating is exhausting. So I'm very happy with the half meter and the 30 cm measurements. I can finally start making one! :D
That's called a 'leader', it helps your machine to get started when sewing seams. Some sewists even piece squares together as leaders and keep them to put in scrap quilts. There's a great book out there called Leaders and Enders that you might find interesting. Lisa
@@loribosecke3165 Thanks Lori, I figured it out, depending how the ends are folded and sewn together. I was doing a lovely spring print for middle and I wanted the theme material to be dominant. Thanks for replying.

How did she get the pumpkin material in middle and framed with orange material on back and sides only?
The pumpkins are cut smaller than the orange. When you press it flat, the orange comes to the front...the seams are not on the sides.

Can a batting be added to this?
Hi Helen. The 20 Minute Table Runner was designed to be made without batting. You could use batting with some adjustments.
Great instructions, other than having to watch all the sewing
We keep improving our videos as we learn. Thanks for watching.
