    For this video we plugged the A1M into a Roland AC-33 acoustic guitar amplifier, added a little reverb and EQ, and ran it direct out of the amp into our mixer. We combined this direct signal with a Shure Beta 181 mic placed in front of the instrument. Some playing examples use either the pickup or mic exclusively.

    I recently purchased the A1M , very nice guitar . I didn’t expect to buy a Yamaha when I went into Guitar Center . I played a lot of guitars in the $500 dollar range and kept coming back to the Yamaha . It was simply the best sounding guitar in this price range . I can easily say I am 100% happy with my purchase and I’ll be looking at Yamaha again in the future .

    tried the Yamaha A1m today at guitar center and it sounded incredible in person. I demoed the Martin and Taylor line up to about 2500 bucks and this sounded better than those by a long shot. This model has very good projection and has a unique sound.

    I just bought the same guitar as yours!! I love it. It sounded way much better than this Martin that I thought about purchasing. Thanks!

    Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the A1 acoustic electric. Yes, I'm sure...the instrument we used in this video is definitely the A1M with mahogany back and sides. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

    Point taken. Don is an award winning fingerstyle player, but I'm not sure if he ever uses a pick. Maybe next time we'll get some other playing examples with a pick. Thanks for the feedback!

    I was wondering if the pickup on the other models the AC3M specifically, will make a difference. I did hear some "quack" on the guitar's sound when played through the pickup only.

    Sounds really good, but can you demo it with a flat pick, too? I don't play finger style (physical problem with my right hand), so your demo does me little good. I need to hear it with a pick, say a Fender thin.
    Also, what kind of fingerboard does the A1 series have? The A3 series has an ebony fretboard, but that looks like rosewood in the video.

    That is a relatively new small-diaphragm condenser by Shure called the Beta 181...in particular the Beta 181C, the cardioid version. Feel free to contact me with any other questions and thanks for your business!

    Sounds really great, but how about playing it with a pick? I don't do finger style, so I really need to hear how it sounds with a pick, say a Fender thin.

    are you sure this isn't the rosewood back and sides version (A1R)?..

  • @blackdogxx
    @blackdogxx 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    There is not a 'better' ... there is the rosewood or the mahogany back/sides. Most guitar sound is in the top, so the top wood tone is more important than the R or M back and sides. Play as many of these as possible in a shop and then choose. Some people like the rosewood smooth and richer tone and some prefer the brighter and more percussive mahogany tone.

    Beautiful sounding guitar with FANTASTIC pickup system, which sounds way better than old piezo shitty sound. I think thats my new el. acoustic guitar, this or AC1M/R :)

    just play a chord, strum; you're all over the place. it's not a drum.

  • @jackbandel
    @jackbandel 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    What’s the point of demoing a guitar with all this popping and drumming and showing off. Strum and pick the guitar the way most people would do. This review is worthless IMO.
