This is the good side of social media. You can see how disciplined people can be and this motivates you so much. Thank you for your content. It inspires me to go one more.
I just wish he was more honest with his hormone use though. No doubt the man works hard and is an inspiration but there is no way he is not on sports TRT. With all the cardio he does his testosterone would be CRUSHED. He does a 5 mile tempo run in the AM then does squats, lunges, strait leg deadlifts, and walking lunges? No chance.
Nick has personally inspired me yet is also the main reason I have adrenal fatigue as a natural thinking if he can do it so can I. I’m 5’10 150 don’t smoke eat healthy yet have 166/100 blood pressure and stress hormones like cortisol and metanophrines off the fucking charts by a mile.
@@believers1015 I mean, you don't necessarily know that to be true at all. You're a small dude at that height and weight. Last year, I did an ultramarathon training block (50km) while maintaining weight training. It's entirely possible. Plus, not sure how long you've been following Nick, but he's been weight training for at least 10 years now, 6-7 of those on camera on the channel. I'm not saying you're completely wrong, but I think it's possible just based on the precedent of getting shit done for years.
@@believers1015 He is literally working out 7 days week for years now.
Of course it is not possible to do this if you start a month a ago but this shit is for sure possible
What do you think sport professionals do over a day?
@@believers1015 I love how you change 5 mile easy run to 5 mile tempo run just to try to get your point across
@@MoonLight-qw8sz I like how gullible some people are. Makes me realize I should really start taking advantage of peoples stupidity like all these other influencers.
I’m just imagining this mans laundry basket always full 😂😂 he changes like 5 times a day
He doesn't use shirts, so that's one thing not to worry about.
@@dzirkalis6334 he should just go topless everywhere
I'm here to report that YOU ARE RIGHT
Yeah!!
For real 🤣
Shoutout to the video editor and camera guy. Going through a weeks worth of training footage, following along during the workouts, and then cranking out a 30 minute video that didn't get boring or lack any creative flow. Top notch team.
I just kicked an 11 year alcohol addiction. I think I'll try one of these now.
Move forward and never look back
Congrats man 🥳🥳
Get it dude!
Letsss goooo
How’s it going Will?
Would have been curious to see what your weekly totals came out to: weekly calories burned, weekly mileages, etc. might be something to include in the next video!
Summary:
Monday: 5mile easy Run, open water Swim (sighting/upper-body catch focus).
Tuesday: Bike (big gear intervals. 5 rounds 90-95% FTP (7min each today)), directly into 4 mile Run, Afternoon pool Swim (warm up / pull, descending 50s, 24x100s, 400 warm down).
Wednesday: Run (11 miles total; 6 tempo work), Leg strength training workout, afternoon light Cycle.
Thursday: 1 hour bike Ride, open water Swim,
Friday: easy 5 mile Run, 2 hour Bike ride (10min intervals at progressive efforts)
Saturday: 15 mile Run, Afternoon: Strength Training (upper body)
Sunday: Easy Bike (25-30 miles)
Thanks for the summary but you really didnt ned to write the whole vid up in a summary thats why we watch it.
Thanks, i found it useful to see it all written dwn 👍
Only lifts weights twice a week and remains that jacked while doing endurance training..? 🧐
@@sb8449 "the secret supplements"
@@leporoso1986 Right 😂 I respect his grind, but I have a bridge, or in his case heaps of supplements, to sell to anyone who thinks you’re going to be that jacked naturally with all that endurance training and only lifting twice a week
I am deciding on going on this 5 mile run. Have zero energy but this is just the motivation I needed
How did it go
I ran 4 miles on April fools just for the hell of it and slept like a baby about an hour or two later.
Woke up just to follow along with ironwolf later that evening.
@@samparker7463 ended up doing 6 miles. not the best pace but i was able to get after it and did some calisthenics as well. Thanks for the follow up. #GOM

I highly respect your grind/discipline Nick. Love watching these.
Thank you for always taking us on your journey, man!! Couldn’t be more pumped to see you kill it at the Tri!! 🔥🔥
Please do a video regarding your recovery.
Stretching, icing, etc..
it’s amazing how your technique has progressed since the beginning of the prep
Great quality video this week, the pool sequence just awesome. So many angles!
I remember watching your videos back when you was in South Korea doing them food videos. To see where you’re at now is just incredible. I respect the grind and effort. All the best to your future, Nick!
So when does the behind the scenes of what the creative team looks like filming you come out? 😂
This is what we all thinking now 🤣
i have just recovered from my 2nd acl surgery on the same leg, i was broken and was kinda afraid to run, but your videos inspired me man, i have restarted running thanks to you. Keep up the good work.
The keyword for all your videos si not motivation, the real keyword si consistency. Thank you for sharing all your activity nick
The beast is back!! Keep up the good work Nick 👍. I love the full week of training vid
editing and filming in every video are just ON TOP!
I love this! Just the puzzle of making every workout and still making it in time for meetings and other commitments👌🏽
Thanks for keeping me inspired - love watching your videos -
Thank you 😊
Edits, transitions and music are on point...keep it up
It’s amazing nick holds so much size while he has switched from bodybuilding to Ironman. To still hold size while fueling 18hrs of aerobic base training is well let’s say not normal.biggest Ironman athlete I’ve seen and I’ve been in the game 10 yrs.
Hahah all you gotta do is eat enough
Me and him are pretty much the same size I might be a little bigger because I'm shorter but I dont run marathon distance but it's hard to keep size tbh but he has a team that helps him
He’s likely doing “more” than just eating big. He really needs to post drug test results and labs to validate his integrity otherwise he’s just misleading his followers.
Well we all know he is on stuffs.. but still the hardwork is unreal 💯
@@aaronkelly4768 who cares? show me you taking whatever and living the same life and routines. yeah
You're a motivation brow! Big hug from Brazil!! Keep doing this
your video inspires me and gives me a lot of motivation! 🔥 keep the good work!
First time watching you and it inspired me to get my strength training in and just deal with the soreness. Did a brick workout yesterday for the first time Bike/Run and paying for it at work today. I’m good after watching you. Will doing it again Sunday… 💪🏾
That is great Nick ! Cheers from Holland!
Gets me so motivated to do more, try harder thanks for the vids and giving us a glimpse of ur lifestyle.
Inspiring. Always enjoy your content. You must have such a supportive family that allows you to get all of this done.
This is some elite editing 🔥
Man, you really try your hardest not to make noise at 5:30 AM. So part of your training throughout the week is stealth, got it!!
man the inside of your home is beautiful Nick, love these videos brother.
this is really motivating me to start training for a triathlon!
Full week of training is awesome why don't TH-camrs do it more, see how you truly balance everything how one discipline rolls into another around your life, more please!!
I think it’d be cool to see a terminology video. Brick workout, tempo run, big gear, etc
Always inspiring, thanks for sharing your journey with us! 👏💪
Good stuff man ile be working harder at everything in my life because of this video
man you are amazing!
thank you for the inspiration!
I’ve followed for you for years now, but just within the past couple of weeks started watching your content again! It’s great and extremely inspiring! I’m getting into running again and have been weightlifting for a couple of months now.. wanting to join the Airforce. Watch advice would you give to someone who isn’t good at running long distance?
agree with others. What a great video seeing a week of Army discipline turned into life practice epicness! You rock dude. Great video. I saw the 30 min when starting and though...no way. Yet made it to the end. Each minute engaging and intriguing.
Just pure hard work and discipline. Inspiring
Theses videos never fail! 🔥🔥
Nick could you show us how you stretch and rest after your sessions thanks you are amazing
What a fantastic job. Massive portion of motivation for me. Just found myself recovered from leg injury and starting running again. Iron Man was my dream back in the day and i hope someday i catch on to you guys! Keep on hard work!

I absolutely loved this!!! Thank you Nick for sharing this with us. I do have 1 question I would like to ask and it’s about the swimming. I’m really starting to love swimming more, but I have a problem with my legs sinking. How can I keep them up near the surface of the water? Any little bit of advice is very much appreciated.❤️👍

how good have you become at watching your tempo? or do you still fully relay on the screenshowing you and you adapting to it?
Loved it, I surprisingly do a lot of similar stuff each day

Well done man x hope that baby's brewing x
224w average for 2 hours for someone who's 100+kg is around 2.xw/kg. You'll need to be averaging 4.xw/kg on race day, for 5hours to get anywhere close to going sub 10.
If the course is flat it is not so obvious in w/kgs. Because for 100kg rider it is freaking 400W over 5 hours.
Isn’t he more like 85 kg?
@@andrewblomquist5516 even at 85kg that would be about 2.6w/kg. A long way off from 4+w/kg required (~340+ watts). But unless he's 5 foot tall, I doubt he's just 85kg. He looks much taller and with that muscle mass. But I could be wrong.
Yeah, he needs to lose some mass, but I think he doesn't want to ditch his muscle mass.
When you started filling the dog bowls with food my dogs heard it and both went absolutely crazy, jumping on me thinking they where getting food 😂😂😂😂
Hi Nick, I was wondering for the early a.m. training (running) at 5:30 - do you eat or drink anything before that? Or, are you just going off the energy stores from meal previous evening? You would have to get up ‘really’ early if you want to eat something then allow to digest before running at 5:30. Would love any insight on this - thanks!
Thats how I can get a few more hours in training. just walk into meeting right after workout. Certainly keep the social distancing happening now with Covid. Your hard work is inspirational. Cheers.
Epic biking view ☀️🌡
you racing gregg doucette on the zwift would be enterntaining :D
DAMN! I enjoyed this video so much.
These 30 minutes went too fast 💨
💪🏆
Just started my triathlon journey a week ago... we're on complete lockdown this weekend so I didn’t get to ride but I got a good run in.. I'm free to hit the road on Tuesday tho... can't wait for week 2!
I usually run 3 miles for my cardio training, never more than that. Yet today I decided to run for an hour straight and see how many miles I can get and I ended up running 6.5 miles. I felt like my body was about to collapse, yet here you are calling 5 miles "easy." Seeing you gets me motivated because I know for a fact that if I keep training like this, eventually I'll be able to reach your level. The thought that one day I'll also be able to see 5 miles as a piece of cake gets me pumped up! I hope I'll reach that day soon.
He uses the word easy to describe the pace/effort. He could run that same 5 miles hard. He isn't saying that the distance is easy, albeit for him it most definitely is, he is describing his speed/effort.
@@philippechennette3343 either way he's an inspiration
Good side!respect!
That was crispy 💯
Truly amazing you can keep up your muscle mass with such INSANE amounts of cardio... Hybrid Athlete for the win!! 🏆
The power of pharmaceuticals baby!
Some fast running especially for a big muscle guy but my thoughts on the bike was 1) you need to get a lot lower, flat back, more aero. If you struggle to make power at the narrow hip angle from being so low, then work on it, go super deep on the leg press (easing into it if need be). 2) for a big guy that can run that fast, you'd think the bike wattage would be ftp of 300 watts at least. At least. Probably more like a 320 watt ftp in tt position or 335 in a more upright and slower position like on a road bike. Some run fast and bike slow, it's fine, it's just a guy with big muscle, you'd think the bike would be quite a bit stronger than the run. The potential you have for an amazingly fast ironman is totally there. I'm sure you are already at great ironman pace. Maybe 9hrs 30 min currently? Just a guess.
I love these videos
No dislikes. I like that energy
Love your video!👍👍👍👍👍
