Just ran a 22:20 5k time at 23 years old. I’m 6’3 about 215 and have been running consistently for about 6 months. Working to cut down on weightlifting and become more of a hybrid athlete with running/ yoga. Thanks nick you have definitely inspired me to achieve more out of my body than I thought was possible and I can’t wait for the journey ahead! Cheers

It's mildly annoying when a popular youtuber sells out and starts treating their fanbase like a cold-call retail lead list. People are allowed to find that disappointing. They earn that right by giving up a portion of their lives to make the youtuber famous by viewing and following content. The fans are well within their right to criticize those whom they make famous. If the famous don't like it, then they can get a desk job. Comes with the territory bro.

@@jiridvorak I don't think Ad block or YTB premium blocks the income of video? I might be wrong but as far as I remember the payout method Google pay out the money by view counts not by triggering the Ads... Because sometimes WITHOUT the Ad block you don't get Ads 100% of the time, that doesn't mean the view don't count.
Even if you had Ad block installed as long as you watched the video, that counts.

Nick - I can't recall if you have (and if so, would greatly appreciate you pointing to the video), but it would be interesting to apply this calorie intake and spread over the time window for those who fast everyday of the week.
I run a 10k 2x times a week (Tuesday @ tempo and Thursday @ intervals/hills) in the morning, fasted with only coffee...for the same reason you've already covered! Long run would be on Saturday morning, usually 15k or so.
Monday-Wednesday-Friday for cardio it would be a rowing or bike session in the am, still fasted.
At lunch time, every day Monday to Friday, its weights training. Still fasted. No electrolytes, no supplements, etc. Black coffee and water (lots of H20 especially now that its 40c with humidity).
So my first meal is right around 1330 and consists of the same oatmeal-protein-fruits-PB mix or a smoothie you've covered and talked about before. Where things can get rough is to stuff down, literally some days, the remaining meals and snacks before 1830-1900 to close the eating/fasting window.
Some days it feels like I'm just eating to eat because I don't want to loose muscle gains, less when I'm looking to lean out a bit but still...
    Thoughts / comments...all welcome Nick!!
    Cheers,
    Ben

don't overdo it with fasted training, lighter and shorter runs up to max 1 hour or weights is fine, but I wouldn't do high intensity fasted. Also first running fasted and then doing weights will cost you a lot of energy. I did a lot of fasted training and messed up my hormones pretty badly, eg. testosterone got super low. Might have had other reasons too but I have since read and heard a lot of advice to not overdo the fasted training.

    • @ahmedelsaidi6637
      @ahmedelsaidi6637 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm no expert but if you're on a budget then chicken breasts and white rice or pasta have the highest food to cost ratio. You can perhaps invest in some greens. If that isn't ideal. Then frozen mixed vegetables can go will with the chicken if you know how to cook them and what spices to use.

Lets be honest. This makes no sense. Forgot to mention "the real supplements" and not the placebos. He holds that much muscle, and does that much cardio on hardly any calories?
There's no way he can run that much, and lift weights on just his supplements and one real meal a day. A ribeye has more fat than protein. Even his protein is kind low. Everything seems low.

    • @IlikeCrayanz

just a tip for everone... if you are already adding 2 of the best low calorie high nutrient fruits like the strawberries and blueberries to a smoothie and then adding one of the best nutrient dense veggies like the spinach... you definantly do not need to add a greens ANND a reds supplement...
if you don't have a good system the best way to view it is if you eat a lot of high nutrient fruits and veggies then adding a simple multivitamin would be golden and you'd be in check with all your vitamins and minerals to be at your highest level.
if you dont eat any fruits and veggies EVER then you can potentially even consider adding a greens supplement too with the multivitamin
pretty much what im saying is multivitamins are really the only "essential" supplement for literally everyone on earth, hope this helped
