Hey Nick! Would love to see a sit down video where you talk about things you learn POST military that you wish you knew while serving. As active duty I’ve enjoyed the journey of you transitioning out but I’m sure you have learned better ways to train / fuel / recover in the years you’ve left the military that could’ve been implemented during your time in service. Thanks
Not a fan of a tubeless setup on a road bike, IMO the tire pressure is too high for the sealant to plug the hole. The weight saved is minimal at best. And probably best to learn how to change a flat no?
Make sure not to kill yourself dude. That might put a big lasting strain on your joints; even professional runners don't exercise this much (for that reason) Pretty impressive schedule though
@@mattdavenport7596 Cyclists do, Traithletes absolutly, runners don't. Is it reasonable to run a sub 3-hour marathon in 5 months with a straight 8:30 min/mile pace for 10 miles right now. Then after the 5 months transition into powerlifting without injury?
Curious as to why Nick wouldn't do Ironman Texas 70.3 today with it essentially in his backyard to get a gauge on fitness, there's enough time to recover, heck Lionel Sanders did Florida then Texas,
@@thomasmulder5022 I can see that might attract certain people but what ever gaines it might give you, you would lose it if you get a flat. lol I can see if you add gel but then at that point you might as well go with tubes.
I’m curious if fueling a body that big for endurance sports with more long lasting macronutrients like fat, would be considerably more effective than macronutrients like carbs which burn fast even for small people, and often lead to even faster/more lactic acid build up. Might be worth experimenting with.
It can be great for some training session to get the body used to consume fat. But on race day eating carb is the way to go. Simply because glycogen is the best source of energy whereas fat need oxygen in order to be use by the body as fuel.
Nick, quick question. I noticed only one person had lights on their bike. Does Texas not require lights on bikes if they are on the road? Looks like it would be a safety factor. Enjoy the videos and the product. Ride safe!
