We had a feeling some would be using them for that! I'm super hopeful we unlock the submariners light infantry, ive literally NEVER seen wargaming scaled navy themed soldiers that arent historicals or in spacesuits
@@AzraelThanatosyeah the deep wars aesthetic feels similar to this. However that’s also a skirmish game and this seems more focused on full scale wargaming.
My boyfriend has been slowly painting up a Bioshock themed Adepta Sororitas Combat Patrol, but he stalled because there weren't a lot of good resources to really pull off the conversions and overall vibe he was going for. I showed him this video and the backerkit and he's immediately excited again. So much praise to you guys for being able to reinvigorate his passion for a project that had fallen by the wayside. I hope you nail all the stretch goals and can use this project to launch yourself into the future!
What Dave and Jen took from the brief: Denizens of the deep. What Murray took from the brief: A fine young cannibal! Love the minis and their finished paint jobs, you guys all nailed it! Murray's OSL on the helmet is great, I think Jen's algae was a brilliant touch, and I loved Dave's flinty shark eyes!
Murray's paintjob looks perfect for a alternative concept for Rogue Trader voidsmen - their lore is just a couple of sentences - ancient suits for ancient places.
I love the mixing of genres! Bio shock was a fantastic game and the iconic imagery of the old dice suits was so amazing, I’m surprised it hasn’t been developed for the tabletop before. Bravo guys! Looks really good!
This might be a big ask; can you add a flash card with the colours you are using when painting? i think having this on the left or right of the screen would look clean for the visuals. Love you guys
Yayaya congratulations on the release, guys!! Its already going crazy!! I'm more than thrilled to be able to support this time around! Following these through patreon has been exciting, and now its finally time!!!
I really hope that all the hard work pays off. Its great seeing the community backing the project and giving a bit of hope for the future of the channel
Love these, seems like most people stay away from water based factions, i grew up on a beach and around the navy, so always loved water types and factions one of my favorite palladium books is the "coalition navy" book and underwater horror books like the meg or h.p.lovecraft stuff
Utterly brilliant design work on these models! Murr-E's right: they have the perfect amount of detail: beautifully intricate enough to house a lot of character without overwhelming the eye. Really allows those incredible paint jobs to shine! Top tier!!!
Love those breachers, I wanted to be SWAT breacher roll when I was a teen, but back then I was wearing glasses so didn't qualify. There was not laser surgery to fix that back then...so I always have a soft spot for this type of miniatures
Loving the heavy modularity of the set. Watching Jenn's model reminded me of one of my favorite Warhammer stories "Altar of Maws" and the chaos-haunted waterways/ships that the Tau encounter. So the first batch might just be a Chaos mariner force painted for the shear fun of it.
Love the kind of steam punk aesthetic that the models have. One of the things I find interesting here is that while you all painted models from the same group, with similar appearances, the different paint schemes and accessories give them very different feels. Murray's figure is sharper, and cleaner. He was going for a more heroic appearance, and he nailed it. This is the guy who shows up when you need the cavalry to arrive in the nick of time. Jenn's figure seems more like a working man who finds himself stuck in a bad situation. I get the feeling he was just going about his day, doing whatever drudge job he had to do, and now suddenly he has to deal with whatever chaos the world has dumped in his lap. I mean it is bad enough the job was behind schedule, because the boss is cheap, and hasn't hired enough people, and has been cutting corners, to pocket money, and ignoring safety issues, but now this ... ... ... The hook in his right hand is very much a tool, that has now become a weapon, and will be used with full force to take out his frustrations. ... ... ... He really needs to just run off to a deserted island with a mermaid and settle down.* Dave's guys are trouble. They are definitely there to ruin your day. I mean they may have an actual job to do, but they are going to ruin your day while they are doing it, whether that was necessary or not. They are in a bad mood, so everyone else is going to end up in a bad mood as well. ... I also like the fact that the shield just looks like a sub door that the one guy ripped off in passing. Like he didn't actually have a shield when he started, but they blew the door off its hinges when they breached the ship, and he figured why not use it as a shield. Good luck with the backerkit. *Yes this is a suggestion for a future video where Jenn does a diorama of diving suit dude on a deserted island with his mermaid girlfriend. Heck you could even do this as part of a gaming table as an obstruction to avoid, because if you disturb them, they join the other player's forces in attacking you.
I'm so hyped to get my hands on these, I've a Bioshock themed/styled Solar Aux 30k army and cant wait to add these to it! either directly or as Militia support. Also Trench Crusade and Necromunda are perfect outlets for use as well!
One of the first paint schemes I ever tried for minis was BioShock inspired, and I LOVED how it looked. I've been hunting for models that match the aesthetic ever since. VERY excited for these fellas.
We have been waiting for this, so stoked to see it go live and get backed in just 4 hours! Can't wait to print & paint these. Don't have any particular plans yet, will figure that out as we go along :)
Love you guys.❤❤❤ My best wishes for all of you, I won't even try to explain how much you have shaped my life and my look at the hobby but you cheer me up in dark days and cold days.👍♥️
I'm so hype for the sisters of the old blood backerkit. Even though the kindred don't appeal to me as much, I still will support to get you guys the resources you deserve for everything!
Saw you posted this from Once in a Six Sides channel, didn’t give me the notification for some reason. Keep up the good work and I hope the funding keep you going for a good long while to come.
I'm excited to see more of this stuff, the kindred of the abyss arent quite my style but I do love the look of the one 3rd from the left, the priest of tech looking guy. That's the faction that if we get to it I will go all in for
Im really impressed with the aesthetic!. Its something I havent seen in most wargaming, and would be really cool in a sci-fi or even fantasy setting, considering factions like KO and Skaven from AoS. These would would definitely make awesome proxies of either of those factions, or maybe even a nautical themed space marine chapter with a little conversion and kitbashing, if/when these make it to plastic. Im kinda thinking Dark Krakens would be a cool base to start from for the Salamander succesor chapter. Cant wait to see more of this from you guys! And btw yall's NMM is getting really good!
I was already excited about these models, but hearing Dave's lore just ups the hype even more. Also, the game sounds very Frost/Stargrave-y to me and I AM SO HYPPEEE for that!
I've always wanted something exactly like this, just like you've read my mind. Now I just need some horrible/ great cthulhu mythos monsters down the line. I think I'll pick up a set and use them for the death guard kill team.
I really hope we get the submariners! I'm planning on using these for a Rogue Trader army and those would make for perfect rank and file troops to go alongside my breachers. Fantastic sculpts!!!
Will there be a Design Time video with the TTT crew and Alysha & Jackson interviews? One way to stand out from some of the other “Big Miniature” corporate companies is to continue to highlight your creative team (concept/art/sculpt/painting/gameplay) process at every opportunity! You all deserve great credit for the inspiration you are providing 👍👍👍👍
Ahh! I love this! Also when you said sci fi post apocalyptic and said an orbital bombardment my mind immediately said instead "What if a nearby star a system or two over went nova" :3 Thought that might be a fun lil idea for an apocalypse haha
These boys gonna get kitbashed hard for my aquatic Death Guard proxy army. Been printing Mezgike's Dredge Marines, and these'd be a great addition IMO.
Their are some pretty sweet Mezgike minis iv had my eye on for a while, Deep sea death guard. These would probably go pretty well with that. Finances allowing, might just pick these up along with them at some point.
These guys are going to be PERFECT for a Heretic Naval Raiding Party Warband for Trench Crusade. Great models!!

Every time "backerkit" is flawlessly edited into the video I burst out laughing. I love the style you've pulled it off in.
Jenn’s paintjob is so good! The painterly non-metallic metal really suits the aesthetic of these models and shows off all the cool details!
Paused video, went to back it, back to the video. Now let see this project come to life with all the stretch goals!
Hahaha Murray did such a great job - his brief was actually 'imagine you're painting solar auxilla" and he went ham - so transformative.
The red and white gives that rifleman a real Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers vibe. Love it all!
Murray's on his way to help aquaman,Jen's painting Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, Dave... the reefs have eyes.
Murray's paintjob looks perfect for a alternative concept for Rogue Trader voidsmen - their lore is just a couple of sentences - ancient suits for ancient places.
Jenn calling the terrifying cannibalistic kidnappers "polly pockets" is now living rent-free in my brain! 😂❤
“No really, I’ve got bits of Polly in my pocket…”
I am really impressed with Jenn's paint job! How cool it is :0
Necromunda water guild. You already have the base Murry :p
OH a great use! Clever!

Best of luck team! Man, Murray is a wicked painter!
Seeing them painted really sold it for me, first time I've backed a project in a while and I'm very excited to paint some of these myself.

Love the concept! The figures look terrific and the aesthetic is awesome.
Love the quad barrel Liberator shotty. It's a fantastic design that didn't work out in the real world, but it's perfect for a post apocalypse.

Stunning painting by all!!! 😊😊😊
Beautiful! I cannot wait to get my hands on these!
Murray's painting style is so cool.

Oof great designs! Love those crab claws melee weapons.
Thankyou! They're a nasty little group
