these sort of unique and higher level builds are what i loved about this channel when it first restarted, hope to see some more cool builds like this again
If I had a nickel for every video about kit-bashing a giant pirate that I watched this week, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
I like how the three cannons point inwards slightly so there must be a focal distance for maximum damage. That or the cannon balls all bounce off each other if they are fired at the same time and spread out again.
We're coming very close to the potential I could see with the service when heroforge first launched. Lowering the barrier of entry to digitally sculpt amazing bespoke models. I'm really excited to see where the software goes
Murray's painting style breaks my brain. I always think it looks terrible while he's doing it, then the final reveals. Just, wow. This thing is so sick, well done Dave, HeroForge and Murray. It's insanely awesome.
I have the feeling (and am sure of) my favorite tabletop video creators talking all the time and that it is no accident that I´m seeing the newest squidmar video right next to this one :D Amazing stuff!
I'm speechless, you guys did a bang up job. These are the types of minis a guy would love to have, and maybe there could have been other details or a different paintjob, but it's a product of you and that makes it so cool and I'm feeling that excitement i used to feel doing minis myself. As with most crafts it's the small imperfections that makes it great and makes it feel authentic.
Tabletop Time continues to be my best source of info about all of the most exciting updates that Hero Forge is consistently rolling out. Honestly though it has been absolutely wild to see how amazing of a tool Hero Forge has become in the years since it first came. I still remember making my first models when it was still brand new and kickstarting it, and now it just blows me away to see some of the stuff people can do with it and how good looking the models you can make with Hero Forge are. Fantastic model guys, that thing looks amazing!
This is an absolutely fantastic build! I'd love to see more of Murray's ̶V̶a̶m̶p̶i̶r̶e̶ ̶C̶o̶a̶s̶t̶ undead skeleton pirates. If you're playing under AoS rules it sounds a lot like a Big Drogg Fort-kicka! A missile attack, a flail as his weapon, and can be taken as an ally for Death armies even if you don't pinch the rules.
Incredible video, What a brilliant way of taking advantage of the Hero Forge system. Kitbash is amazing and Murray paint job is fantastic as always. Love the tones across the "mini"
14:20 When you’re splicing the models, how do you account for the kerf tolerance? May not be the right term. Basically the amount of space between the models to make sure that it works after it’s printed. Do you have like an inner peg and outer peg for boolean cuts? What about organic surfaces? Or am I overthinking it and no tolerance is needed?
This is what it's all ABOUT!! Using what you can, and making something amazing from it!! I would absolutely pay for a model like that, the kit bashed was fantastic, Dave! I love this so much, this video makes me incredibly happy
Outstanding work. This is one of the best things I have ever seen miniature wise! Love the paint job and great theme Murray. Skeleton pirates for the win!
I love heroforge and have spent many many hours making miniatures. Dave that is an amazing build. And as always Murry your painting is top tier absolutely perfect.
That certainly is some awesome kit bashing! and such a great tool. I do not need such a model, I do not even have access to a resin printer. I still want to do some thing like this! Thanks for letting us be part of such ambitious builds! (More pirates!)
Hot damn! That's some incredible work! I genuinely cannot believe that's all from hero forge!!! Amazing work. Hopefully we'll get to see this beauty again in a battle report mayhaps? 😘
Midwinter Minis made one of these a few years ago. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Unsure if someone forgot to credit and I missed it or not but around 13:39 you guys used some B-Roll of another creator's content @Derfholm or Derf. It's a clip from the video he did on kit bashing back in April. Just wanted to make sure you guys were aware. Love your content and I hope to see more heroforge stuff from you guys in the future!
You guys are great. The necrofexboat is wild model all over the top and I love it for that. Murray did a fantastic job painting it. His painting style is so cool...
You guys are KILLING it with content. Also, maybe plz keep this posting time for Saturdays US time? Coffee and your Saturday video is something I look forward to every week. OBVIOUSLY post when makes most sense but, you know, maybe its this time?
This is huge, I get a lot of use out of hero forge between making D&D characters, concepts and body pose for anatomy drawing. But this is just awesome, i may have to et myself a pro sub.
I remember my old Vampire Coasts force from Warhammer Fantasy that became a detachment since the list didn't scale very well due to the limitations of the minor, variant armies... It was hilarious to have people hear Vampires and see that a part of my force was an undead gun line with a cannon...
See, my favorite part of this is something I'm still just generally getting used to with 3d printing. You don't just get one of these. You get literally as many as you want. That is something I still feel an overwhelming sense of godhood over whenever I boot up my 3d printer. I can just MAKE stuff. I can fabricate tabletop minis from liquid. Whenever I want. Like if you don't have a 3d printer yourself, the best way to put it is just imagine saving a TON of money, and being able to just make stuff to paint whenever you want. I am sure you can get a sense of the power you feel.
I just discovered Hero Forge several days ago and made a character I like to call the Shell Caster and while I'm definitely more than pleased with how he turned out there was some limitations that kind of kept me from fully fulfilling the original idea got this new kit bashing feature fixes so that will be cool to messed with
anyone who use to play project spark, and make use of it's model building functions (like taking a character, rigging props and pieces to their skeleton, at different joints o along different limbs/parts in order to create unique entities) will find this, not similar in controlsper-say but very similar in functionality, and we dont even have to worry about how it will look in animation...because its a model!
I’ve used Hero Forge a lot since their price of STLs is relatively cheap. I have a whole shadow elf pirate crew designed via hero forge and printed on my filament printer.
I've been waiting on the kit bashing on hero forged for a while. I been making custom stuff with 3d builder but 3d builder can be cumbersome at times. That and buying two models to get the model you want and the part you want to add gets expensive over time in money and time put into it.
Day four of asking for a campaign featuring: astra primursa, hive fleet jőtunn, traitor guard, steel legion, sakura sept tau, sisters of the old blood, and alpha legion, culminating in an epic brawl on the titan graveyard board! Addendum: each army gets its own map (like the space bears hangar and the sister’s basilica). These will be like super smash bros maps for the campaign!
these sort of unique and higher level builds are what i loved about this channel when it first restarted, hope to see some more cool builds like this again
Agreed. Honestly I can’t wait to see what else they come up with.
what an insanely awesome model and video. MORE SKELETON PIRATES!
Yarrr!
Oh my god, you can finally change the size of hands and feet? Once this update falls upon us, the community will never be the same.
Small characters that don't have the proportions of a fucking bobblehead??? Sign me up
If I had a nickel for every video about kit-bashing a giant pirate that I watched this week, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
didn't you know that June is pirate gargant month?
I like how the three cannons point inwards slightly so there must be a focal distance for maximum damage. That or the cannon balls all bounce off each other if they are fired at the same time and spread out again.
The optimal firing distance is directly into the other gargants face point blank
I didn't know Brickman was a Warhammer fan!! He just gets more awesome!!!
We're coming very close to the potential I could see with the service when heroforge first launched. Lowering the barrier of entry to digitally sculpt amazing bespoke models. I'm really excited to see where the software goes

Wow Heroforge is getting better every time I hear about them. I would also love to see a AoS skeleton pirates army.
The fact that you could make something like this in HeroForge…holy crap this is amazing!
I've always liked the Heroforge art style, but it's wild that you made that with their assets.
Can't wait to faff about with it.
I'm speechless, you guys did a bang up job. Dave's eye for 3-D modelling and Murray's brilliant painting skills, just 🤌 great job, gents

Really creative and well executed project. Also, best kind of sponsored ad. Well done all around!

Squidmar just painted up a pirate giant!
Was just thinking about this
I literally came here to stir the pot and say squidmar did it better 😂
These pirate giants are epic
I'll admit that sometimes I am lazy or miserly with my likes, but you guys deserve all my likes for this. Very cool
Incredible video, What a brilliant way of taking advantage of the Hero Forge system.
Kitbash is amazing and Murray paint job is fantastic as always. Love the tones across the "mini"
Wooohoooo awesom conversion and want to wish dave goodluck in his escalation league
Murray's painting style is so cool.
kitbashing is my fav. thing... cannot wait to try also digital kitbashing !

What a great build and beautiful paint job. I do really enjoy kit bashing videos.
Murray, you GOTTA make a full army of Skeleton Pirates, this has gotta become a full Vampire coast model!
definitely need more ships in that paint scheme
I just want Murray to make a whole Skeleton Pirate Army now and that ship be apart and with custom rules.
Awesome. Really like the painting style too. A whole video on that process could be cool
This is what it's all ABOUT!! Using what you can, and making something amazing from it!! I would absolutely pay for a model like that, the kit bashed was fantastic, Dave!

Why did PLINK blink across the screen? 21:04
Murray's been plinking about that since launch
I have read every definition of plink in Urban Dictionary and can't say I understand the usage of plink in their context.
absolutely cannot wait to do shit like this myself once kitbashing finally goes public. incredible model
Man, Murray's painting style is rad.
The mini as well as the paint job is just beyond amazing and as a huge fan of the Vampire Coast in Total War I absolutely love this!
Great model, and an amazing paintjob. Looks like it will be an amazing centerpiece for the skeleton pirates.
yeap, dave you really have a great eye for art direction. Glad that you used the rule of cool on this one
heroforge has something special here, total game changer!
You guys are great. The necrofexboat is wild model all over the top and I love it for that. Murray did a fantastic job painting it. His painting style is so cool...
Murray is such a talented painter it always blows my mind.
You guys are KILLING it with content. Also, maybe plz keep this posting time for Saturdays US time? Coffee and your Saturday video is something I look forward to every week. OBVIOUSLY post when makes most sense but, you know, maybe its this time?
Unbelievable how the app allows you the flexibility for a kitbash. The model and paint job is impressive, well done!
I am so happy to see your happiness and exitment about your project! Keep doing this awesome stuff!
Everything about this video is amazing. Murray KILLED it!
Can't wait for this kitbash feature
This is the best possible advertising of this feature, I hope you got a bonus!
I love this project and the energy you both have for it.
That video about struggling must have hit the algorithm because you're showing up in my feed like crazy!
Yes, loving the kitbashing lately!
This is so awesome, would love to see it on the table in a game!
absolutely awesome. but missed the chance to have a skeleton behind the wheel.
Can still paint one up and blue him on
Holy CRAP! I can't wait to try this feature out!
GREAT JOB, both of you! Very impressive!
An incredible mini paired with an incredible paint job. Props to the two of you! Just missing an exposed heart made of rum bottles x)
This is actually incredible!
Currently rewatching a bunch of older Tabletop Time videos lol. This is so fucking sick oh my god
Murray has such a cool painting style on his skeletons. I hope we get to see more of his army. Maybe even a peek at their pirate skirmish game?
This thing is ridiculous. And I love it.
this new feature is crazy ! cannot wait to try it
Im soooooo looking forward to digital kitbashing in Heroforge
that looks sick!
feel like it needs a little captain at the helm
What an insanely detailed model!!
Was slightly disappointed that there were no skeletons with guns on the ship but this is still completely crazy! Can't wait for the next kit bash.
I can't wait for this to go live.
Love the painting as well. Such a great look ❤
This is huge, I get a lot of use out of hero forge between making D&D characters, concepts and body pose for anatomy drawing.
But this is just awesome, i may have to et myself a pro sub.
This was a blast to watch the process!!
I remember my old Vampire Coasts force from Warhammer Fantasy that became a detachment since the list didn't scale very well due to the limitations of the minor, variant armies...
It was hilarious to have people hear Vampires and see that a part of my force was an undead gun line with a cannon...
This is legitimately bloody awesome. 😊

Please make a Rotten Leviathan!

You are both so talented i wish i could paint like this
That is awesome! Thanks.
saw the ship wheel at the front and I just thought you should totally make a custom mini pilot skeleton for that.
THE SHIP NEEDS A NAME!!!!
Every ship needs a name, no matter how simple or complex the vessel.
anyone who use to play project spark, and make use of it's model building functions (like taking a character, rigging props and pieces to their skeleton, at different joints o along different limbs/parts in order to create unique entities) will find this, not similar in controlsper-say but very similar in functionality, and we dont even have to worry about how it will look in animation...because its a model!
This turned out incredible. I gotta check out hero forge.
Dang!! I've played around with Hero Forge for years but I never would have thought something like that was possible in it.
Dave, we need more Traitor Guard!!! Pls…btw. amazing work in this video👍
I hope Hero Forge sees this! Wow this thing is huge. Pirate skeleton mecha. I love it.
also, what's "Plink"?
Considering who sponsored the video and gave them access to the closed alpha in the first place, I think that's a safe bet.
Freaking awsome!! You guys gonna make the stl available for others to print, build, and paint too?
Needs a Jolly Roger, but it looks incredible!
Hell yeah we would love to see more skeleton pirates!
I don’t know brickman was an avid warhammer, but that makes a lot on sense because I saw a Lego great unclean one at one of his exhibitions!
I’ve used Hero Forge a lot since their price of STLs is relatively cheap. I have a whole shadow elf pirate crew designed via hero forge and printed on my filament printer.
THIS will finally get me to get a pro subscription, this is awesome.
sooo epic!!
Hey did u guys ever review those brushes from adepticon?
I've been waiting on the kit bashing on hero forged for a while. I been making custom stuff with 3d builder but 3d builder can be cumbersome at times. That and buying two models to get the model you want and the part you want to add gets expensive over time in money and time put into it.
Kitbashing ftw! ♥️♥️♥️
On 16th July (I think, around that time) we get a kit bashing q&a and a release date!
Love it!!! Keep it up!!
I was excited for a moment cause I thought the feature had been released to early beta and was so ready!
Day four of asking for a campaign featuring: astra primursa, hive fleet jőtunn, traitor guard, steel legion, sakura sept tau, sisters of the old blood, and alpha legion, culminating in an epic brawl on the titan graveyard board!
