Metapod: Its shell is filled with its soft innards. It doesn't move much because of the risk it might carelessly spill its innards out.

Well, Alola is based off Hawaii, which is in the US. So I doubt it's going to be able to lift anyone there.
There's an NPC in Sun that explains that the corsola bits are not from dead/eaten ones, just that Toxapex snaps off the branches to eat. The NPC goes on to explain that the corsola can regrow these. I think it also says that it hurts, so that's still pretty messed up.
Yet the Aether Foundation has said that Corasal's population has been decreasing so much they needed to keep them away from their natural habitat

Maybe this pokedex is so creepy because it's actually inhabited by a ghost? I like to think that Rotom actually added all the unnecessary creepy parts upon entering.

I was going to mention this! Not only is Rotom a ghost who would write some grim Pokedex entries, but it is also a Pokemon itself. Maybe the parts mentioned in the Rotomdex are actual things that happen in the Pokemon world?

The toxapex one is extra creepy when you know that the only way to catch a Mareineie (preevolution of Toxapex) is by fishing for a Corsola and waiting for it to call for help.
I think these creepy Pokedex entries is Rotom trying to ignite fear into the hearts of humans so Pokemon can begin their vicious uprising. That's just me though.

Plus, why then add regular Muk might be going *extinct* , unless the opposite is happening for this 'theory'? Although Sun and Moon basically said that Samson Oak and 'a boy' from Kalos(Sycamore, Clemont, or Trevor) created the Rotem Dex, not sure how easy it would be for Rotom to edit the dex entries, or if it had enough to figuring out how to even do this supposedly.

Meowth from the anime got a brief glimpse of Mimikyu's true form and he nearly departed to the afterlife where Gardevoir, Glaceon and Lopunny angels await him (as well as the Gastly family ready to pounce from behind).
I thought that the ghosts were making an illusion of the other three, and the sight of Mimikyu's true form made him faint and have terrible nightmares.
What about Drifloon?

Pokemon Moon for Golbat: Sometimes they drink so much blood, they can't fly anymore. Then they fall to the ground and become food for other Pokemon.

Garrick Burns dark but funny, I can imagine a fit lil golbat stuck to the floor flapping its wing at mach speed trying to get up but can't because it drank too much blood.

Have you seen the entries for the Mega forms?
I won't spoil them, but I will say that, they are even darker than the ones in every Creepy Dex list combined.
There's some INSANE stuff going on there that I definitely want to talk about in a video of its own, but I'm waiting to see how we can get all of the mega stones. There are a lot in one location in this game, but I'm curious if we'll be able to get all of the stones or not long term.

Also, you get all the Mega Stones for 64 BP each in the Battle Tree, with the exception of Alakazamite, which Sina and Desio will give you after battling Desio on your way to the Battle Tree once you beat the Elite 4.
Even then, you can still purchase Alakazamite in the Battle Tree.
TheJWittz I hope we will be able to get every stone in both versions without having to trade for them. The version exclusive idea is good, but up to a point. That point is when it comes down to mega stones
Super Gogeta Yeah, the Battle Tree actually lacks the starter Mega Stones (Kanto and Hoenn), and Mewtwonite is nowhere to be found. From what Serebii says, though, it lacks Lopunnite, and I can't find it in my Moon version.

shadowmarioteam: Rotom is an Electric/Ghost Pokemon that likes to hang around in various home appliances. In Sun/Moon the professor put one in your Pokedex to be your constant -annoyance- companion.

THEORY:
all the other pokedexes are correct in saying information about Pokemon but aren't specific or realistic. The reason these entries are so dark is because they are from an actual Pokemon , Rotom as a Pokemon it will know first hand from experience how other Pokemon act and as a Pokemon it will be able to tell a Phyduck is crying if a human can't and will see other Pokemon as predators aka Gengar, its saying there is no escape as it sees Gengar as a Pokemon predators whilst humans may not know this. The Alola pokedex is from a Pokemon's perspective, Rotom's perspective.

I like to think that humans knew about all of the creepy stuff, but they never put this info in the pokedexes that they give you in the games because your playing as a kid.
Yeah, though i think that if it had a dex entry for rotom, it would say stuff like "you should get a rotom" and "if you don't have a rotom, you are doomed to fail.

In Moon, it says Metapod can break, so huge battles should be avoided.
As dark as that is, it makes sense; I raised caterpillars once and had to help a fallen pupa. I didn't hold it carefully enough and green liquid started to come out. The pupa didn't become a butterfly.

Its possible that Celesteela is 30 feet tall, considering its similar to a bamboo shoot, and they get quite tall.
Space Princess Marie I guess you could be right, but it still seems like a ridiculous size for something that could be around 7 feet. These aren't the only weird size choices in the dex, but those were just two off the top of my head.

Ah, it's good to hear my two favorite Pokemon got involved here. Gengar with its entry, and Rotom there to serve as the bearer of creepy entries.
I've found 2 weird/creepy enntries:
- Slowpoke: "Its long tail often breaks off. It doesn't really feel any pain, though, and the tail grows back, so Slowpoke isn't particularly bothered."
But in Gold/Silver, team Rocket cuts off Slowpoke tails for food. And they recognize this in Sun and Moon as well... I don't get it... Does that make me a bad person?

Gogeta thesayin I heard that Pokemon was originally NOT geared toward kids, but rather toward teen and yound adult. The manga (or at least the gen 1 and 2 manga as I haven't got further) kinda show the original idea around pokemon.

Oh man Umbreon's moon entry is... really something. "With its black fur, it blends into the darkness. It bides its time, and when prey appears, this pokemon goes for its throat, and then eats it."
This gen's dex is so messed up, you miss a lot by doing only two top 10!
Maybe he'll do more. The entries for Megas are just as bad too. Example look at Mega Mawile and Mega Kangaskhan.

Pogohg It definitively will. It's Pokèdex entry basically states that literally kills it's own trainers because it loves hugging contests.
I think Tsareena is the worst of them, some Pokédex entries here are creepy due to the Pokémon nature or something beyond its control, but it is willing to kick Pokémon while they're down.
Well, she IS the Queen of the Fruits, given that her line is based off of the mangosteen. A very haughty, boisterous queen.
Tsareena also has a heart of gold, since she is very protective of Bounsweet and does not tolerate evil.

You missed out on Crabominable. It's a funny one.
It aimed for the top but got lost and ended up on a snowy mountain.
Being forced to endure the cold, this Pokémon evolved and grew fur.
I find it interesting how Toxapex eats Corsolas and leave a trail of Corsola bits in its wake but the only place you can get Toxapex's pre-evolution (I don't know how to spell it) is by Corsolas calling it for help
No it eats corsalas twigs and those grow back. Also it comes to help because it owes the corsala

Corsola calling for help is practically a dinner bell for it. Same thing with Carbink calling for help brings a Sableye, it eats gem stones.
It makes sense because crown-of-thorns sea stars eat coral and are destructive to coral reefs. The irony is that Mareanie/Toxapex and Corsola are predator-and-prey but they can breed together.
That "Weezing/Arbok crying" screenshot made me really sad. That was really a depressing episode for sure. :'(((((

KingBergerMan Crabominable has to be one of the best things to ever happen to pokemon
KingBergerMan This game made me love the designs for Komala and Crabrawler. A Yeti Crab being a Pokémon is amazing an it being an Ice and Fighting type just adds onto it. While it was a little disappointing that Komala doesn't get an evolution, I already loved its design so it doesn't really irk me there.

That scholar who saw the Mimikyu's "true" form died from shock, maybe because Mimikyu showed him the form he uses against untrustworthy people and his truest form is showed to its trusted trainer who deeply cared for him and used him in battles a lot and nothing happens to that trainer.

My friend needed a lot of trade evolutions (like, all of them) so we shared quite a bit of dex entries. The gengar one in Sun was so bad that when we were hanging out with other friends who were doing trades, we told them to read that one outloud because of how depressing it was. And you nailed why it is so shocking. The Dex, a voice for science and absolute truths, tells you to give up.
OMG!!! I'M DYING!!! The Ouran High School Host Club thing got me so bad!!! It's even more funny cause I run an anime club, and Ouran is a favorite XD
