I may not ever walk down this exact sidewalk or even any of those you've cleaned up but I have had to use sidewalks like this one-- pushing my walker, groceries piled up, on my way to a bus stop-- and I have to say thank you so much. You make a difference for good. Your hard work is appreciated.
I find it amazing that even though this is a “free“ job, you still put 110% in to it. You don’t skip anything and you strive for perfection. You are a total asset to your community and you should be proud of yourself. Good work and be blessed.👏🇨🇦
Only way they're going to fix it for the future is to remove the trees. They were fine like 40 years ago, but now they're a problem. They should've been planted as dwarf trees or in a different location.
Random acts of kindness and acts of beauty. You are incredible, transforming this walkway into a safe pathway. Wishing you and your wife a blessed week and gentle spring season. Peace brother
People who actually help and encourage others to help like this are the reason this world still has hope. If half of the world weren't selfish assholes we might get a lot more done. Would love to see actual crews do this for fun. And would love to be one if I had the money for the tools and the livelihood to sustain free work like this. Help those in need and you'll find help when you need it. Good luck and hope your time comes back on you 10 fold with something good.
Love the transformation, you do great work! Side note, here's to the city planners/parks dept's that planted trees in such a small space. I'm sure a lot of us grew up in towns/cities that lacked foresight. May they learn from their mistakes.
It is amazing how much debris you collect from the sidewalk. The sidewalk didn’t look nearly as dangerous when cleaned!! Beautiful job. Thanks so much!
I always enjoyed watching your videos because you're so good in doing the edges nicely and your work is very tidy and I liked that ..not sloppy and wishy washy for the videos..I believe that work should always be done properly and presented nicely..
For all the grumpies in the comments saying how it’s still unsafe, blah, blah. This effort definitely widened the walking area. Great work. Blessings to you sir!
A vast difference made the sidewalk to where you could walk with more safety because you could see the uneven spots more clearly. Darn good job and enjoyable to watch it progress from bad to best.
This is very kind of you. Especially with the cost of fuel, supplies and maintenance on your equipment. No good deed goes unnoticed so I hope this promotes interest in your business. Best wishes
Great job Fill, the transformation was amazing. Even if the council deem the pavement unsafe to use going forward, at least those who need to use it can now see what they're walking on, which makes it much safer anyway. I'm sure the locals will appreciate your hard work, even if they don't ever know who did it. A true act of charity.
Unbelievably satisfying! It is scientifically proven that there’s less crime in well maintained neighbourhoods. I think you do a great service, not just to the people who walk down that path daily, but to the community as a whole.
Love your videos. Great job on a difficult sidewalk. N 4th and E Birch. The listing broker is likely surprised and pleased the curb appeal is hugely improved. On the adjacent lot there used to be an older house with Way Back Vintage and Antiques. Another old house on the opposite corner of Birch is also gone. Sidewalk over there has nobody keeping it up. it's not as ripped up by tree roots. Both lots look like good prospects for a rescue.
Wow! Great video! What a difference you made to that area! You are truly making a difference in the world...I get to watch it happen!😊Stay safe and healthy! Take care!

I do lawn care and landscaping fir a living and edging sidewalks is another job I do. Always a great feeling to see a neglected sidewalk turned into looking nice once again. I've done several. Also cut and sell firewood and do snow removal as well
Wow, there's a fair amount of work involved in making an overgrown sidewalk look presentable! Now the landowner can see where the sidewalk can be repaired.💙
Another fantastic sidewalk cleanup! Very satisfying to watch and would like to see more of these videos. Thanks for the video Fill and have a blessed day!

Great job, Phil. It’s amazing what a difference the cleanup of a sidewalk does! AMAZING. Thanks for doing what you do to help people less fortunate than you and it helps keep the city cleaner and more attractive.❤
Really nice! This is a safety hazard but most towns can't keep up the maintenance, especially on adjacent empty lots. Hopefully the city will appreciate your hard work 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Trees are almost 70 I'd guess, but sidewalks like these were sought after when I was a kid on my BMX (free ramps). With a sidewalk like this, clean means you can see what is doing while you use it so it is safer to an extent.
The only way to fix it is totally dig it all up and re-grade the ground and re-lay it. The tree roots are rotting and composting and with the weight of the pavement after nearly a half century or more, its collapsing in random places. For now, a clean-up as was done and then put neon orange spraypaint around the tripping hazards is the only temporary fix.
Pretty sure those are Modesto Ash. We had them tearing up our sidewalks as a kid. I feel like the ones we had on our street were slightly bigger and were like 60 or 70 years old. So I'm going 50 to 60 years old.

Good job. Really makes me want to tackle the sidewalk near my home.
I wonder how many YT views are needed to break even.
That Made a Huge difference!!! Now people can use the sidewalk!!! Great Job 👍
Amazing. Thank you for doing this. It is literally therapy to watch you fix that mess and turn it into clean, organized peacefulness.
It seems to me that it is the city responsibility to maintain the sidewalks. You are such a hard worker, and cares about the cleanliness and safety of the neighborhood. Kudos to you!
I would bet those trees were planted when that area was built. Great job!
Great job! The city needs to give you a contract!
That was a very satisfying cleanup! That sidewalk was a mess, even though its broken up a bit, you made it look so much better for the neighborhood. Great job Fill!
Such an improvement! I'd bet that this sidewalk had not been worked on since Truman was President. Great job and wonderful act of kindness.
Looks great! So much safer! You take great pride in what you do.
Wonderful service and a morale boost for your community. You are a blessing to your neighbours.
These sidewalk videos are so satisfying. Soon you'll be "Fill the Sidewalk Guy"!
I admire people who, with their work and effort, support the community in the maintenance of public spaces.
I love how you do this for the community. We should make this video go viral to show the political parties (the ones who have signs there) how to REALLY clean up a town. 🤣 Thank you for all you do! 💚
