- A week ago, I knocked on this homeowners door and offered her a free lawn transformation. She said she'd been struggling with getting her lawn mower running and was in desperate need of some help. After I finished the job, she came out and was just blown away at how nice her property looked. She also mentioned that she never had anybody do anything like this before. Hope you enjoy the video :)

I know it means a lot to hear that “thank you”. Our neighbor hasn’t mowed his yard in over a year now, various people in the neighborhood get tired of looking at it and give in and mow it for him. He has yet to say a simple “thank you” to any of them. Last time my husband helped mow, the homeowner actually stayed in his house for 20 minutes past his normal “go out to lunch time” just so he could avoid being outside while people were working in his yard. So, THANK YOU for all of the unpaid and seeming unappreciated work that you do. Even if the property owners don’t appreciate you, I’m sure the neighbors do.
NatureFeeder, if everyone in the neighborhood does the lawn/yard work for your neighbor then there's no reason for him to do it himself. Let him get a fine or two then maybe he'll start doing his own upkeep and if the city or county doesn't come around and notice his bad lawn then maybe you should call and make a complaint. I did that to my neighbor a few years ago for 2 summers, he got the message after paying the fines. Now he mows his lawn twice a month instead of once a year.

Well, thank you for making your neighborhood look better. It could be he’s embarrassed and is one those crotchety people who can’t say thank you, or he’s a person that feels entitled and everyone owes him.(we have a lot of homeless around here that think that🤷🏻♀️) or he’s just a user like you said.

Was nice to see your blower could still remove water soaked litter. I'd guess some was flower petals from the nearby Chestnut. Thank you for doing the mailbox. I know you had a little possible splatter, but in general, I've noted that discouragement and wear can appear on a mailbox and now the mailbox also matches the kind work you did.
