Underneath the two big doors on the top of the shuttle is supposed to be a big empty space. It's a cargo bay. The shuttle was made to carry stuff up to space. I assume Hasbro couldn't give us this because they needed that space for robot parts, and the gold thingie does look nice. :-)
If the Kingdom commander class is a beast wars character, they could maybe do a Transmetal II Megatron. (or maybe an Optimal Optimus, because from what i've seen, leader class is a bit small
I can tell you as someone who owns the power of the primes optimal optimus, that he is substantially larger than the current leaders/voyagers (he's 3-5 inches shorter than jetfire). So if kingdom is legit, I think he'll fit right in with the beast wars cast.

And since he was from Potp it’s easier to compare his size to the boys from the accompanying show since he was in there, instead of how he would be in a new class. Kingdom while being inspired by beast wars is still part of the wider generations line so unless they absolutely nail the figure there is no need for a new optimal optimus
If we were to get a new Commander figure that scaled well with Omega Supreme, Scorponok & SkyLynx, I would LOVE to see a new take on Tidal-Wave. He was one of my favourite characters from Armada, simply given his sheer size, and in an age when we're getting bigger & BIGGER figures at somewhat reasonable price points, I think he'd make a great addition to any TF collection. Also, he's a Decepticon who transforms into an Aircraft Carrier/Troop Transporter/WMD (I'm regretting not doing more research prior to this), AND who is speculated to be 14 stories tall. Who DOESN'T want a Decepticon like that?!?!
I had no G1 attachment to "Sky Lynx", so I don't think I'll pick up this figure. I'm still content with the CW version :). Very shrewd about how the Commander is the new Leader Class. I wonder what that upcoming Leader Slag will be like....?

Earthrise Sky lynx is a great toy yeah with one bad alt mode being the slab that the Lynx turns into. But the base mode makes up for it. I was very happy to get him on sale for some reason amazon had him on sale at one point for very cheap i think it drop almost to half from like a $85 toy to around the $40ish range. It's want maybe me buy him and glad I did since he's great and my larger transformer so far.
Agreed. Space Ape, when adding the Destrons into Transformers Earth Wars, they used a different toy model for Leozack while the others used their Combiner Wars figures from the Liokaiser pack

I destroyed the lynx legs of my og release sky lynx. I have a reissue, but I also have this commander release. Both were part of my dinobot display until I chose to shrink it to Dino versions of the core 5.
that Lynx leg part is similar to my issue with the Legacy Metroplex who has similarly unstable shoulders. the reason as to why he has them is because of the work mode, a mode no one cares about.
from what I can tell im pretty sure its not qc and the directions just dont show how to connect the two parts properly, but maybe it is qc and the tab doesn't exist on some copies idk, also the botropilis pack looks good with this base mode, unfortuneatly its an amazon exclusive and Im guessing you don't have access to it on amazon
Speaking from the future, the Commander Class has really yet to let me down. While I consider Rodimus perhaps the weakest and Legacy Prime quite possibly the best alongside 86 Magnus, Motomaster somewhere between I'm now considering Skylynx and this review I think gave more than enough reasons to add him to the collection. Never had the G1 toy, was on hiatus throughout Combiner Wars so seeing this design get a properly budgeted Commander Class toy feels a must have. I like that he looks G1 accurate in pretty much all modes, and that his combined mode as wacky as it is has some decent size and heft to him. Base mode is completely unnecessary as it was with Motomaster, but for his detail/articulation and actual NASA licensing on the shuttle looks well worth the price point.
Further from the future, Armada Optimus Prime is a legendary status figure, and I'm eager to see how Magmatron comes out (I happen to have picked up the original during Target's Dinobots line and it is somewhat of a challenge to get everything in place in robot mode)

It's just the current incarnation/equivalent of Super-class, the size class that started with Optimal Optimus and continued through Primal Prime, R.I.D. Optimus Prime, R.I.D. Ultra Magnus, R.I.D. Scourge, etc, etc. It was original the largest size class until Supreme-class (which is unused nowadays, perhaps Hasbro incorrectly assumes Titan-class makes Supreme obsolete?).

As much as I love G1.5, G1 as a whole has been getting WAY too much time in the spotlight. It continues, even hamfisting its way into Studio Series. I'm getting more and more burned out on G1. Time for a breather, and beasts are gonna do just that. Hopefully Lenny allows more variety in the franchise too, now that he's taken over from John Warden.
I am also getting tired of all the g1, but this doesn't mean I don't want hasbro to stop with it , my real problem is that instead of hasbro giving characters cool stylized designs, it just sticks to slavish sunbow designs, take Cyclonus or Smokescreen for example. I still think that there is still some cool g1 elements to revive, I feel kinda dirty saying that, but literaly all I want from that era is pretenders,triggercons and a Needlenose. As for g1.5, I know it's technically g1, but I don't see it as that, it's got an awesome aesthetic on it's own that's very different to g1. I really hope that after the WFC trilogy, hasbro ditches the trilogy idea and just goes back to pulling characters from various continuities and giving them fresh, Iron-factory-ey and different designs
They could do that. New designer; than Lenny fellow from the livestream. His track record for toy design is a little iffy (he helmed most of the FOC crew and designed T30 Windblade), but he may have improved since and since then he might have some brilliant ideas of his own.
I have this figure and I like it, but on my copy one of the shuttle wings won’t tab in and the other pegs in loosely, and one hinge on the tail is loose Other than that he’s great!

Thicken the peg. You can use superglue or floor polish. Just make sure to let it dry first
