but Beast of the East is nickname of warden stolen SHT by colonials

Yes. Me and three of my friends build one. Shame we only managed to bring it out only once. Wanted to do so again yesterday but the war ended. RIP(?) Tiny Tim.
@@buk3295 Beast of the East is the name given to a specific warden super tank that was stolen by the colonials in weathered expanse and used against them for days. iirc it ended up killing 2 super tanks and 10+ battle tanks before finally being destroyed by the wardens. the colonials ended up stealing 2 more super tanks in the eastern hexes after that though

Gotta love the devs approach to AFV design. It's clear that this thing is supposed to be Char 2C, but at the same the design also takes inspirations from similar heavy/super heavy tanks with "be X meters long for trench crossing" requirements like TOG I/II, T-35 and so on.
And combines them with some post-WWII techs to fill in the gaps or follow ingame rules.
For example there are no aircraft and no high rise buildings. So secondary turret that was reserved for AA HMGs with high elevation degrees still has said high elevation degrees, but now uses primitive AGLs, which were used in the field only during Vietnam era. They don't break immersion, they're technologically possible with WWI tech and they fill in the same anti-infantry defense role as shrapnel shells in smoke mortars of german WWII assault guns.

@@NoNameAtAll2 Automatic Grenade Launcher. There were a few projects dating back to even WWII, but first real ones were used during Vietnam War due to invention and improvement of "high-low" pressure systems. Those Vietnam War ones were hand cranked and belt fed.
The ones on this tank have four barrels loaded from inside and work like a mitraliese. So you load all four and then crank striking all four firing pins in the row, then you reload all 4 breaches.
Dude, that SHT is incredibly fast while going backwards and tracked. WTF? The ballista turns into an immobile brick when it's tracked!
Ah yes the new SHT, shame that both factions get the same one would be nice if they made faction specific one.
It was always amusing hearing how many of these things where captured during the war, I think many TC came down in with tiger syndrome.

@@ISawABear Yes the Warden - Colonial Technology exchange program is a very popular system, without a doubt it has allowed collectors to be able to afford their shiny toys.
@@ISawABear collie privates are trained to scavenge cutlers and ATRs from the battlefield, SHT stealing is a logical evolution

As a Western Colonial, fighting in Loch Mor and Westgate was pretty crazy at times. My clan (ECH) was setup at the oil field West of Breach. Good fight but you could never break the indomitable Colonial spirit!

Love the formation you guys have... just would want a few more light tanks on the western flank when in Loch Mor. Easy to flank from the Heartlands / Westgate borders. Lastly tell Trekker to get his game up. I am almost General here and he is still Maj Gen lul :P

HUNDREDS OF HOURS WASTED ON SHT TO BE TAKEN IN MINUTES, WHEN WE COULD HAVE SPAMMED VETTED TANKS.....
I hope these things are sufficiently expensive. Run into them a few times already and they’re a nightmare.

@@WolverineTheWhite two days to produce, and costs approximately 5 or more battle tanks which are also quite expensive
SIEGE tanks fall back the next night and we weren't able to make any progress that day :(

Incredibly large squads kill this game.
How effective are the war trains?
They can be effective but they are quite vulnerable as the locomotive is weak as and the train carriages can't properly defend it, so it ends up being very similar to a tank in function

@@mikefischer8576 100% you could, in fact when the colonials first deployed ours the locomotive got destroyed and it ended up that way, but if want mobility then what I said before applies
