These videos are great. Obviously things didn't work out, but I see all the tools present to succeed. Nobody's got the strategy down yet but I'm sure that will begin to change soon enough. Main issue I see is lack of fire support to clear the beaches. No point in dropping a landing craft with 15 infantry that's in the direct line of fire of 3 machine gun nests - time to pick a different beach if that's the case, IMO. Also, the element of surprise is critical to beach landings IRL. During D-Day, allied command did everything humanly possible to direct the German's main attention elsewhere. The marines would've never taken Normandy if a panzer division was already sitting on top of their landing site.
"Do we wait for the ramp to go down?" "I recommend climbing over the side" - cuts to everyone in the boat being blown up and flying over the side dude, I died laughing.

Not seen in this video: as we were leaving, the Storage Ship, with all the ground vehicles, was harassed all the way to Endless Shore, I was one of the crewmen aboard it. The plan was to go regroup at Port of Rime behind the Coastal Gun. then go south back to Terminus through Tempest, The Fingers, Reavers Pass. Warden Gunboat Harassers caught up to the Storage Ship. In the chaos, we missed Port of Rime, forcing us to keep pushing forward and hide behind the Saltbrook Coastal Gun in Endless Shore Because of Warden Battleship and Submarine sightings on the open water, we ended up going back to Terminus the hard way, going half way up the River Mercy and south through Drowned Vale and Shackled Chasm. Those Rivers are NOT friendly for Large Ships.

Meanwhile the Battleship ran ahead to bombard the island early, and the destroyers wandered off to investigate Sub sightings. The Battleship focused on hitting the Bunker Bases and other spawn points on the island, which makes sense, but unfortunately left all of the *actual* beach defenders and defenses unmolested. Meanwhile, the only vehicles brave enough to actually go to the beach with the infantry were the armed APCs we brought. Hence, it became a bit of a massacre: Unsupported infantry vs heavy defenses, armor, and emplacements.
I've never played this game but thinking about downloading. How does it work? Does a popular player get a bunch of players together and decides to plan an operation with a date and time? is it all just random and people just following along?
The larger groups of players have clans so that they can build the big stuff like battleships, nukes and big operations; but from my experience, a lot of the time they need extra hands. Like in this video, clanman asked in world chat if anyone wanted to help out, then we kind of organize by talking a lot. Sometimes a group of randoms find that they get along well and decide to make a small operation on their own, using equipment that's been placed in public stockpiles by some very nice logistics people :D For reference, in basically all of my long videos covering operations, I'm a solo player who just finds people doing cool stuff, or scrambling to defend a base from an operation being launched by the enemy team :)
I couldn't get too much footage of the battleships and destroyers shelling the beach sadly, since taking binoculars to a beach where people immediately died so I could watch from the boat is a bit of a waste :( I can guarantee that they were shelling the poop outta that place though
Thanks :D that was my second 2D intro (now basically all of my videos have one) so it took a while as I was still figuring it out. I used blender 3d to model, animate & render for it :)
That's actually what they did. That was actually the _problem_. The Battleship spent the first 20 minutes of the invasion targeting the bunker bases and spawn points while the troops were slaughtered on the beach. Then when they switched fire to the beach it was already too late and the Wardens were mixed in with the Colonial landers making "clean" fire support impossible. Had they swept the beach clean from the start, we might have had infantry and 250mm assault guns on the beach to support the Battleship's war on concrete. But instead it was basically the Battleship vs the Axehead with the actual landing being a meaningless sideshow.
Beach landings are very viable but they are also one of the hardest things to pull off. Landings most of the time, when conducted by large groups of random players will fail. Even if they bring all of the necessary equipment. Above all beach landings require impeccable coordination and planning. As soon as you hear ten people shouting different orders and suggestions its already over. For instance the battleship needs to bombard the shore to thin the enemy numbers enough for friendly troops to progress. However this requires both the troops on the beach AND the ships off the coast to be within the same command structure. Not necessarily the same clan but a well organised set of clans in coms with one another. I will say that landings can succeed without this level of coordination but this is more the fault of the defenders than an accomplishment for the attackers. This landing was a perfect example of having the firepower and not knowing how to use it. It looked fun for the casual players and that's a good thing, however having fun does not win wars sadly, doing things properly does. They didn't even get off the beach and they had an entire naval taskforces worth of firepower to clear it. My recommendation for anyone wanting to do this as you're main career on foxhole to join a well established regiment. A Warden One.

If the battleship or the destroyer had cleared the Warden bunkers before landing it might have succeded. As a warden these landings are disappointing, like at least let the attackers take a step off the landing ship without being spam grenaded to death. It’s always unfair towards the landing force.
If the battleship or the destroyer had cleared the Warden bunkers before landing it might have succeded. I feel like naval landing fail because the big ships chicken out at the first sight of enemy naval QRF. You need to establish naval superiority before even atempting a landing to ensure your BB and DDs can destroy enemy defenses to allow the landing force to make landfall.
@@MrAhnassihell yeah that’s the theory, after that you have queue times x) you can mobilize soo much thing before it happen, especially on frontlines
😂😂😂😂
you are colonial right? i guess cause the BS looks like it
