Trying to sleep on the couch in our hospital room the night before my daughter was born, was the most anxiety I've ever felt. I watched the birth from start to finish and helped my wife during pushing, so many scary factors during the birth. Once my daughter was born and I held her for the first skin to skin contact, all anxiety went out the window. Keep your chin up, new dad's.
I oftentimes get so into my head that I just completely freeze up and have crippling anxiety. Getting out of the house and going on a walk with the dog definitely helps. You're right though about not making excuses and taking responsibility over the things we can control.
This definitely helped me brother. I’m a new dad and I’m so scared because of my pst failures I don’t want to fail my son. This was such good advice thank you so much

I’m going to becoming a dad in less than 2.5 months. I sort of start to feel some anxiety... but these videos help and I’m here to learn. Thank you! Kind regards from Switzerland
Just found out today that my wife is pregnant with our first. The initial joy as turned into panic. I am university educated but the profession i studied has high competition and does not pay well and I am wondering how I am going to pay for this baby. I am even thinking of joining the navy because the pay is double what I am on at the minute.
Hey I’m a first time dad and it’s crazy the last two weeks. I have anxiety because any little thing that bothers my son makes me wanna fix it immediately. I sometimes feel like I’m failing and others are high moments
Finding an induction date today. My emotions are everywhere and Im so scared. I have no idea why Im scared as I am a daycare teacher, but Im just so scared and cant explain why!!
For first time dads, when your wife/girlfriend is going into labor, one of the plethora of things a man should bring to the hospital... a blanket. I underestimated how cold a hospital can get.
January 30th due date! Just looked at a new apartment, it's nice but rent is very expensive right now, I think it'll be worth it to give my family a nice place to live tho
I get heavy anxiety going out in public with our newborn. Like at a restaurant and the baby starts crying. Sweating vigorously, negative thoughts and I immediately want to leave. Any tips?
I've been trying to find ways to improve myself in life. I want to enhance my career and become a project manager, or be a more advanced programmer. But, it feels like the opportunities I have to do so at work are nonexistent. And the time to do these things at home doesn't exist. What should I do?
Just found out me and my girlfriend are pregnant. I was good the first couple of days now I have crazy anxiety. I am having nightmares as well. I hope it gets better.
@santaclaus3077 oh man thank you for the response I cant talk about it for now with nobody, I still wake up sometimes with nightmare how I'm going to manage everything and how my life will be. This comforts me a bit thank you brother 🙏 my god bless you and you're family 🙏🫡
This was great advice. Though communicating about personal problems such as health, career, financial is a bit tricky because the partner goes into insecure mode
Any updates? Was your partner pregnant when you made this post? Did you already have a newborn or a growing child? My wife can also be insecure at times, and we have our first baby on the way.
I know it's a old video but you forgot you can watch TH-cam netflix ect in your phone and laptop you actually really have no excuse to skip physical health when you got children
#6: communication.... nope as a man you gotta own and deal and never tell your worries to your pregnant other half., she's dealing with 100000x more issues so you better find a way to process that away from her to be the best support you can be for her and never show your worry
@@dudeyo2688 so whats a better solution? Whinge and whine about your problems to an already exhausted worried new mom who's still healing and feeding this child ? How does that help ? You got to be strong for her why should she have to be strong for you
